The issue of surgical treatment of patients with generalized periodontitis and osteopenia is particularly topical. Numerous studies have confirmed the benefits of surgical treatment procedures using osteoplastic material to stimulate repair process of periodontal tissues. The objective of the research was to improve the effectiveness of surgical treatment of patients with generalized periodontitis and osteopenia through the combined use of osteoplastic material and antiresorptive drugs in the preoperative and postoperative periods.80 patients underwent treatment and clinical observation. The patients were divided into 3 groups. Group I included 20 patients who underwent surgical treatment according to conventional procedure. Group II included 20 patients who underwent surgical treatment with local application of osteoplastic material “Easy Graft”. Surgical treatment in Group III (20 patients) was conducted using osteoplastic material “Easy Graft” and antiresorptive drug “Bonviva”. Experimental group consisted of 20 apparently healthy individuals. The obtained results indicated that surgical treatment with the use of osteoplastic material and antiresorptive drugs promoted the most significant positive effect which was determined according to the dynamics of clinical scores. The combined use of osteoplastic material “Easy Graft” and antiresorptive drug “Bonviva” leads to stable process stabilization being confirmed by clinical study indices both in early and in remote postoperative period

In this struggle the regions that try to increase their competitiveness in the frames of various territorial associations, get the advantage. In connection with this the question of evaluation of competitiveness and positioning of the regions is becoming rather urgent. At that both the purely economic, as well as the complex approaches to the assessment of competitiveness of regions are possible. But taking into account that the increase of competitiveness of the region must be accompanied by the improvement of the quality of life which is impossible without improving social and environmental conditions, the assessment of competitiveness should be carried out taking into account both economic and non-economic indicators. The concept of competitiveness should be built up with interbalance of all principles of social-economic development. Competitiveness of the region should be considered by the whole complex of indicators that are components of the subsystems: population, economy, infrastructure and ecology. The aim of this work is to review the positioning of the Republic of Tatarstan in the framework of the Volga Federal District, as well as the analysis of changes of the position of the Republic for the period from 2007 to 2011. The Republic of Tatarstan is one of the most developed regions of the Volga Federal District which unites fourteen regions of Russia. The method based on a diagnostic set of indicators, including twelve indicators, is used for assessment. These indicators characterize the gross regional product, the turnover of companies, innovative activities of companies, density of the transport network, emission of pollutants into the atmosphere, the capital assets of companies, life expectancy, population morbidity, the level of education of population, household income, coverage of television broadcasting, fixed capital investment

This article addresses the demographic situation in VFD regions which is viewed as important component of region's positioning. Author's method of calculation of demographic situation index is proposed, which was used for assessment of demographic situation in VFD regions. Performed analysis allowed to identify the set of indicators which correspond to the purpose of this study most fully. Such indicators are as follows: dependency ratio, crude birth rate, crude death rate coefficient, infant mortality rate and life expectancy at birth coefficient. The groups of factors are identified which influence demographic situation in the region. © IDOSI Publications, 2014

Operation of graphene quantum Hall resistance standard in a cryogen-free table-top system

We demonstrate quantum Hall resistance measurements with metrological accuracy in a small cryogen-free system operating at a temperature of around 3.8K and magnetic fields below 5T. Operating this system requires little experimental knowledge or laboratory infrastructure, thereby greatly advancing the proliferation of primary quantum standards for precision electrical metrology. This significant advance in technology has come about as a result of the unique properties of epitaxial graphene on SiC.Comment: 15 pages, 9 figure

The disease of periodontal tissues occupies first place in the structure of dental diseases that can be detected during pregnancy. More profound changes in the homeostasis of the oral cavity occur when abnormal pregnancy. One of the most common diseases that complicate pregnancy is iron deficiency anemia. IDA – a clinical and hematological syndrome characterized by a decrease in the amount of iron in the body (blood, bone marrow and depot), which disrupted the synthesis of heme and proteins that contain iron (myoglobin, iron-tissue enzymes). The aim of the study. Periodontology is an urgent need to develop a local drug treatment of generalized periodontitis in pregnant women against the backdrop of iron deficiency anemia. Materials and Methods. The effectiveness of the proposed local health-care complex was performed using index evaluation of perio-dentistry status in 32 pregnant women, patients with generalized periodontitis against the background of iron deficiency anemia. We studied the dynamics of changes in clinical indicators of periodontal tissues, namely the health index Green Vermilyona index for bleeding Muhlemann, depth of paradontium pockets, index Ramfyorda. Results and Discussion. It was established efficacy of topically to rinse the mouth with antiseptic solution based on octenidine dihydrochloride and 2-phenoxyethanol "Oktenisept" for applications – gel based on hyaluronic acid 0.2 % "Henhihel". Conclusions. Using the proposed method of local treatment of generalized parodontium allows a stabilization of process and providing a long-term remission

The objective of the study is to evaluate the condition of the alveolar part of the upper jaw and the part of the mandible according to X-ray studies in postmenopausal women before and after surgical treatment of the atrophy of jaw bone tissue using osteoplastic material and an ossein-hydroxyapatite compound. Materials and methods: There were observed 24 women in the postmenopausal period, aged from 51 to 58 years, with atrophy of the alveolar process of the upper jaw and the part of the lower jaw who were surgically treated. Results of the study. On the basis of the obtained results of the X-ray examination, we can assume that the developed by us technique of surgical treatment of atrophy of the alveolar process of the upper jaw and the part of the lower jaw by the use of bone material of animal origin in combination with the ossein-hydroxyapatite compound allows us to intensify bone tissue regeneration processes, which further will contribute to the increase of the volume of bone tissue. Conclusions. The use of modern X-ray methods, in particular orthopantomography and cone-beam computerized tomography in the diagnosis and surgical treatment of atrophy of the alveolar process of the upper jaw and the part of the lower jaw, are highly informative, and also provide the possibility of work with a roentgenographic image in a digital format that allows a more detailed assessment of the area of surgical intervention before and after the treatment
