Mediterranean noir novel: testimony of a distorted truth

Desde su concepción, la novela negra siempre ha servido de crónica para la cuestión social, pues mediante sus casos se reflejan los problemas patentes en las urbes según sus épocas. Sin embargo, esa capacidad crítica se fue diluyendo a medida que ganaban lectores, al punto de reducirse a simples relatos de ingenio detectivesco o de acción policíaca. Por suerte, la llegada del género a Europa constituyó un cambio en el paradigma, pues en lugar de copiar las tradiciones previas, se quiso reivindicar la importancia de las sociedades reflejadas. Aunque iniciase en Francia, este movimiento caló en el panorama literario, especialmente con las vertientes conocidas como nordic noir y el noir mediterráneo. Este último será nuestro objeto de estudio, debido a las implicaciones del periodismo en su concepción. La problemática de las fake news, y la referida como sociedad de la posverdad, mantienen su relevancia en este panorama. Mediante el empleo de las herramientas para analizar el falseamiento de las noticias, sumado a los argumentos de la novela negra negra mediterránea, y el estudio de los argumentos propios del género negro-criminal, nos permiten asentar el estudio de la literatura como un testimonio más sobre el peligro de las noticias falseadasPeople’s exposure to infoxication (Ren-jith, 2017), the creation of information bubbles (Pariser, 2017) and the infosat-uration (Dias, 2014) generated through the formation of echo chambers, play a fundamental role in the creation and dis-semination of disinformation. The main objective of this research is to understand the elements that shape decision-making for the establishment of these filters with the purpose of developing a tool that breaks the chains of disinformation: the PROVENANCE plugin. In this research, a qualitative methodology developed in two stages has been used. The first one, in which a conceptual analysis was carried out, consisted of a theoretical review and two group interviews. In the second one, 10 individual interviews were conducted to assess the PROVENANCE plug-in. In the analysis, it can be observed how these filters act in the path of disinformation and how the audience tries to break these bubbles with actions, depending on the type of information consulted and the emotional filter. The plug-in PROVENANCE offers an early warning mode based on the data provided by the algorithms and without making value judgments on the information and serves people as a training too

Tendencias culturales en Italia: Entre literatura, arte y traducción, proyecto dirigido por Giovanni Caprara y Alessandro Ghignoli, ambos docentes de la Universidad de Málaga, contempla un objetivo muy claro: abarcar los elementos definitorios de la cultura italiana a través de diversas manifestaciones. Para alcanzar esta meta no se ocupa únicamente de la literatura nacional (aunque esta conforma una parte importante de la obra), sino que procura extenderse a otras facetas de la cultura, como perfectamente se indica en el subtítulo

Novela negra y rol: Adaptación del género hacia nuevas narrativas

En sus orígenes, la novela negra llegó a presentarse como una experiencia lúdica, donde se invitó a los participantes a resolver el caso antes de finalizar la velada. De igual manera, los juegos de rol también proponen un desafío para los jugadores, también mediante un conjunto de reglas que aseguran el juego limpio. Además, estos han demostrado su vinculación a lo literario al adaptar diferentes géneros a los sistemas empleados para el juego, ya fuera la fantasía épica (Dungeons and Dragons, Anima: Beyond Fantasy), el terror cósmico (Llamada de Cthulhu, Rastro de Cthulhu) o la propia novela negra (El club de los martes, Estrellas anónimas). De esta última, la presencia del enigma y su resolución mediante lo deductivo parecería evidente, pero este tipo de narrativa también se adapta a otras ficciones, y por ello, el presente estudio perfila la noción básica de la narrativa negro-criminal, y explica su implementación mecánica a varias literaturas

La Novela Negra Mediterránea: Análisis del género y su vertiente contemporánea

Sobre la vitalidad de la novela negra, destaca su amplia producción y presencia en diferentes medios, ya sea en eventos, prensa, televisión u adaptaciones para cine o cómic. El gusto por esta literatura se extiende al panorama internacional, y debido a la interpretación patria del género, la globalización ha provocado una simplificación de su lectura, donde solo se identifican los rasgos más característicos, en detrimento de los aspectos nacionales. Y en esta koiné noir se desarrolla la problemática con las variantes, reducidas a sus atributos más destacables. Dicho problema afectó, desde sus orígenes, al objeto de estudio principal de la tesis: la novela negra mediterránea. Popularmente, la ficción negro-criminal dispone de un canon muy marcado, cuyos límites afectan a la interpretación de los subgéneros. En el caso de la variante analizada, se le atribuye el uso de la escenografía mediterránea y la presencia del elemento gastronómico, una caracterización superficial respecto al uso de una sociedad tan concreta. La vaguedad en el tratamiento de la novela mediterránea y al mismo género literario motiva un análisis de la cuestión, donde se identifiquen sus elementos más allá de una premisa básica. El análisis de la variante parte de las unidades más esenciales del género, pues para categorizar una novela dentro de la literatura negra, debe presentarse un caso y su investigación. Por ello, las figuras del investigador, la víctima y el criminal son esenciales para el estudio de la noción mediterránea, y así reivindicar sus elementos originales en cara a la idea general de la novela negra. La muestra incluye artículos (tanto de índole académico como periodístico) sobre la cuestión noir, trabajos sobre el Mediterráneo y su historia, así como una muestra de novelas que abarca trece autores y seis países: Italia, España, Francia, Grecia, Argelia y Portugal

Identidad nacional en Blacksad mediante la cultura marítima: análisis sobre las influencias del Atlántico y el Mediterráneo: LINEBMLCM

National identity in Blacksad through maritime culture: analysis on the influences of the Atlantic and the Mediterranean: LINEBMLCM Since its origins, the noir-criminal genre has produced debate on the national question in its narrative. Developed in the United States after the war, its adaptation to the european market led to the copy of american affairs, although it soon wanted to incorporate national themes. The debate continues to this day, and the Blacksad comic is proof of this. By spanish authors, published in the french-belgian market, and characterized as north american hard-boiled fiction, the discussion generated deals with their affiliation to one or another culture. In order to provide new perspectives, we want to incorporate recent studies on the mediterranean black novel into the narrative in Blacksad, to consider where the gaze of the character and its authors points. For this reason, our analysis consists of exposing the state of the question on the debate instituted around the comic, and inquiring into the cultural aspects that have determined its character, as it is a product where three different aspects converge. The three societies present in the discussion, in turn, are conditioned by thoughts born from looking towards the sea, being able to distinguish the influence of the Atlantic and the Mediterranean, which bathe the countries in ideological brawl: The United States with respect to the first; France and Spain for the second. Each one has developed a different line towards the genre that concerns us, the noir-criminal narrative, and although no one denies the birth of this literature by the north american hard-boiled, nor the influence of the french market to revive the genre even towards new media, such as comics, Spain seems to lose importance in the matter. The appearance of the previously mentioned mediterranean black novel offers new arguments to outline the treatment of culture in the work, which will be analyzed by referring to works consecrated in this narrative, with the goal of estimating to what extent the national and the homeland in the Blacksad series, more specifically, in the works included in his “color cycle”. In these comics, the plots derive from essential issues of the genre in its american aspect, but the treatment and character coincide with attitudes presented in the mediterranean narrative, which arose in response to the stereotypes of the genre. For this reason, the germ to debate about the homeland of the work is developed through examples, which rekindle the debate beyond propaganda, and allows us to delimit the extent to which the importance of culture, original and acquired, influences artistic creation and literature

Blacksad, cómic, legado y fenómeno fans: Del “ciclo de los colores” al juego de rol

Originating in 2000 by Juan Díaz Canales (script) and Juanjo Guarnido (drawing), the comic book saga Blacksad has established itself as one of the most notorious references in black-criminal graphic narrative, something evident in the multiple awards and gallons it has received, where the Eisners won in 2011, 2013 and 2015. Due to its impact on the media, the saga has been a mass phenomenon, a success that has justified its intermediality towards other media. This article constitutes a monographic study on the character: from its conception and development in comics, to its inspiration towards interactive media such as Blacksad: Under the skin (2019) and Blacksad: The role-playing game (2015), where emerged new interactions by the followers of the work.Originada en el 2000 por Juan Díaz Canales (guión) y Juanjo Guarnido (dibujo), la saga de cómics Blacksad se ha instituido como uno de los referentes más notorios en la narrativa gráfica negro-criminal, algo patente en los múltiples premios y galones que ha recibido, donde destacan los Eisner conseguidos en 2011, 2013 y 2015. Por su impacto en el medio, la saga ha supuesto un fenómeno de masas, éxito mediante el cual se ha justificado su intermedialidad hacia otros medios.
