Revisión de la distribución geográfica del genero Cyrtograpsus en Argentina

El género Cyrtograpsus, constituye un género exclusivamente marino, el cual se encuentra representado por cuatro especies hasta la fecha endémicas para Sudamérica. Estos cangrejos en su mayoría son de tamaño pequeño a mediano con respecto a otros miembros de la misma familia son de vital importancia en los ecosistemas costeros donde habitan. Testicular histology of Mustelus schmitti springer, 1939 (Elasmobranchii, triakidae)

Mustelus schmitti presenta unos testiculos de desarrollo diametrico en la que espermatocistos forma redonda muestran una disposición zonal. Cada zona tiene espermatocistos que contienen células germinales en una sola fase de desarrollo. Los especímenes adultos mostraron seis etapas diferentes que van desde espermatogonias a espermatozoides maduros. Las mismas etapas morfológicas se encuentran en los animales jóvenes, mientras que algunas etapas adultas se han encontrado en animales inmaduros entre las espermatogonias primarias o secundarias. Etapas similares en el desarrollo espermático se encontraron las descritas para M. manazo, M. griseus y otros elasmobranquiosThe testicles of Mustelus schimitti from a temperate estuary in the South Western Atlantic have a diametric development in which round-shaped spermatocysts show a zonal arrangement. Each zone had spermatocysts containing germ cells in a single development phase. Adult specimens showed six different stages from spermatogonia to mature sperm. The same morphological stages were found in young animals, while some adult stages have been found in immature animals among the spermatogonia, whether primary or secondary. Excited hadrons and the analytical structure of bound-state interaction kernels

We highlight Hermiticity issues in bound-state equations whose kernels are subject to a highly asymmetric mass and momentum distribution and whose eigenvalue spectrum becomes complex for radially excited states. We trace back the presence of imaginary components in the eigenvalues and wave functions to truncation artifacts and suggest how they can be eliminated in the case of charmed mesons. The solutions of the gap equation in the complex plane, which play a crucial role in the analytic structure of the Bethe-Salpeter kernel, are discussed for several interaction models and qualitatively and quantitatively compared to analytic continuations by means of complex-conjugate pole models fitted to real solutions.Comment: Proceeding of the ECT* workshop "Nucleon Resonances From Photoproduction to High Photon Virtualities", talk given by B.E.; 8 pages, 2 figures with 6 graph

Indexes of plant available organic nitrogen in soils

Two sets of surface soils (13 from Iowa and 7 from Chile) were used in greenhouse experiments to study the uptake of organic N by three successive croppings of corn (Zea mays, L.) at 40-day intervals or three cuttings of ryegrass (Lolium multiflorum L.) at 30-day intervals. Before planting, the soils were treated with all the macro- and micronutrients, except N. After harvest, the plant materials were dried at 65(DEGREES)C, weighed, and analyzed for total N;Three biological and 26 chemical methods were evaluated as indexes of plant response to available organic N in soils. Results showed that the values obtained by incubation of soils under aerobic or water logged conditions were significantly correlated with DM and N yields. The amount of NH(,4)-N released by the following methods were significantly correlated with N uptake by corn and ryegrass: autoclaving soil with 10 mM CaCl(,2), digestion with phosphoric acid-sodium chromate solution, digestion with 2M KCl solution at 100(DEGREES)C for 20 h, or by direct steam distillation for 5 min with 1 M NaOH, 1 M KOH, 1 M LiOH, 4 M K(,2)CO(,3), or Na(,3)PO(,4) + Na(,2)B(,4)O(,7) buffer;Nitrogen mineralization and, therefore, plant uptake of N, was significantly correlated with organic C and organic N in soils;Calculated potentially mineralizable N (N(,o)) in soils varied with incubation temperature, reagent used to hydrolyze soil N, and the N uptake by plants according with the plant used;The N(,o) values calculated by using either the exponential or reciprocal plot equation for the results obtained from the leaching columns were not correlated with dry matter or N yields by plants. However, the N(,o) values obtained for the results from hydrolysis with 2 M KCl or Na(,3)PO(,4)-Na(,2)B(,4)O(,7) buffer were significantly correlated with the N(,o) values obtained from the leaching column (30(DEGREES)C)

Micromechanical approach for the analysis of wave propagation in particulate composites

Laser ultrasonic non-destructive testing is widely used for the inspection of mechanical structures. This method uses the propagation of ultrasonic guided waves (UGW) in the media. For this purpose, it has been demonstrated that the addition of a thin composite layer between the laser source and the structure for inspection is necessary. Consequently, this composite is an optoacoustic transducer composed of an absorption material such as carbon for inclusions and an expanding material such as an elastomer for the matrix. Thus, optimal fabrication of this composite should enable the amplification of the signal for inspection. Indeed, experimental research has demonstrated that variation in the volume fraction of carbon inclusions, their shape, and the nature of the matrix, affect the amplification of the signal directly. Trabajo "decente" en Medellín: del papel a la realidad. Estrategias de formación para potenciar la implementación de esta política pública municipal

La Organización Internacional del Trabajo (OIT) promueve el “trabajo decente” como pauta cualitativa para que gobiernos, empresarios y sindicatos estimulen la calidad del empleo en el mundo -- La iniciativa fue acogida por Colombia y Medellín es pionera en la formulación y aprobación de una política pública local en trabajo decente, expuesta en el Acuerdo No. 64 de septiembre de 2013 -- Sin embargo, su implementación por parte de la Alcaldía es incipiente -- Por eso este artículo apunta a proponer estrategias de formación en trabajo decente ancladas en el concepto de “ciudadanía laboral”, como ruta alternativa para que la Alcaldía de Medellín potencie lo enunciado en el acuerdo municipal -- Con ese cometido, se llevó a cabo una investigación documental y diez entrevistas a personas vinculadas a la formulación y ejecución de la política local -- Así se evidenció que la Alcaldía carece de una estrategia de formación en trabajo decente, consecuencia de varios obstáculos identificados que impiden una efectiva implementación de la política -- También se determinaron siete actores públicos y otros ocho privados que pueden sumar voluntades para concretar tres rutas de formación propuestas para que el trabajo decente sea asumido como una realidad entre más empresarios, empleados y estudiantes de Medellín -- Finalmente, se concluye que, en el campo laboral, las administraciones municipales toman un creciente rol protagónico para concretar en el territorio políticas públicas de orden nacional que apunten a mejorar las condiciones de emple
