Studi Pelaksanaan Program Sri ( System Of Rice Intensification) Petani Pemula dan Petani Berpengalaman (Studi Kasus: Desa Aras, Kecamatan Air Putih, Kabupaten Batubara)

Addressing Campus Sexual Violence: A Collaborative Governance Approach to Legal Policy

Campus sexual violence is a pervasive issue affecting institutions worldwide, with a concerning upward trend in reported incidents. This article scrutinizes legal policies and the efficacy of collaborative governance in mitigating this pervasive problem. The model of collaborative governance, a globally recognized legal policy approach, is at the heart of this study. Utilizing socio-legal research methods, the article employs comparative legal and conceptual legal approaches, drawing from secondary literature sources. The study reveals that the implementation of legal policies and collaborative governance can significantly curb campus sexual violence in Indonesia. This can be achieved by actively engaging both academic community and the wider public. By drawing lessons from countries such as the United States, the Netherlands, Canada and the United Kingdom, Indonesia can replicate their success in reducing campus sexual crimes. These measures include the creation of legal policies, establishing partnerships with central and local governments, and fostering collaborative governance. Key initiatives that have proven effective in these countries include the development of service guidelines that prioritize victim and survivor protection, amplified anti-sexual violence campaigns on campuses, and the promotion of sexual violence awareness education. The establishment of a National Campus Sexual Assault Commission to evaluate the enforcement of educational ministerial regulations and religious affairs ministerial regulations in preventing and addressing campus sexual violence is also recommended. This article offers valuable insights for policymakers in their efforts to devise effective legal strategies to prevent sexual violence on campus

The Radiation Monitor (RADMON) on-board Aalto-1 CubeSat is an energetic particle detector that fulfills the requirements of small size, low power consumption and low budget. Aalto-1 was launched on 23 June 2017 to a sun-synchronous polar orbit with 97.4° inclination and an average altitude of somewhat above 500 km. RADMON has been measuring integral particle intensities from October 2017 to May 2018 with electron energies starting at low-MeV and protons from 10 MeV upwards. In this paper, we present first electron and proton intensity maps obtained over the mission period. In addition, the response of RADMON measurements to magnetospheric dynamics are analyzed, and the electron observations are compared with corresponding measurements by the PROBA-V/EPT mission. Finally, we describe the RADMON data set, which is made publicly available. The Radiation Monitor (RADMON) on-board Aalto-1 CubeSat is an energetic particle detector that fulfills the requirements of small size, low power consumption and low budget. Beyond the genetics of HDL:why is HDL cholesterol inversely related to cardiovascular disease?

    Get PDF
There is unequivocal evidence that high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol levels in plasma are inversely associated with the risk of cardiovascular disease (CVD). Studies of families with inherited HDL disorders and genetic association studies in general (and patient) population samples have identified a large number of factors that control HDL cholesterol levels. However, they have not resolved why HDL cholesterol and CVD are inversely related. A growing body of evidence from nongenetic studies shows that HDL in patients at increased risk of CVD has lost its protective properties and that increasing the cholesterol content of HDL does not result in the desired effects. Hopefully, these insights can help improve strategies to successfully intervene in HDL metabolism. It is clear that there is a need to revisit the HDL hypothesis in an unbiased manner. True insights into the molecular mechanisms that regulate plasma HDL cholesterol and triglycerides or control HDL function could provide the handholds that are needed to develop treatment for, e.g., type 2 diabetes and the metabolic syndrome. Especially genome-wide association studies have provided many candidate genes for such studies. In this review we have tried to cover the main molecular studies that have been produced over the past few years. It is clear that we are only at the very start of understanding how the newly identified factors may control HDL metabolism. In addition, the most recent findings underscore the intricate relations between HDL, triglyceride, and glucose metabolism indicating that these parameters need to be studied simultaneously

Aalto-1, multi-payload CubeSat: design, integration and launch

The design, integration, testing, and launch of the first Finnish satellite Aalto-1 is briefly presented in this paper. Aalto-1, a three-unit CubeSat, launched into Sun-synchronous polar orbit at an altitude of approximately 500 km, is operational since June 2017. It carries three experimental payloads: Aalto Spectral Imager (AaSI), Radiation Monitor (RADMON), and Electrostatic Plasma Brake (EPB). AaSI is a hyperspectral imager in visible and near-infrared (NIR) wavelength bands, RADMON is an energetic particle detector and EPB is a de-orbiting technology demonstration payload. The platform was designed to accommodate multiple payloads while ensuring sufficient data, power, radio, mechanical and electrical interfaces. The design strategy of platform and payload subsystems consists of in-house development and commercial subsystems. The CubeSat Assembly, Integration & Test (AIT) followed Flatsat -- Engineering-Qualification Model (EQM) -- Flight Model (FM) model philosophy for qualification and acceptance. The paper briefly describes the design approach of platform and payload subsystems, their integration and test campaigns, and spacecraft launch. The paper also describes the ground segment & services that were developed by the Aalto-1 team.</p
