Determination of Iron (Fe) and Calcium (Ca) in NIST SRM 1566b (Oyster Tissue) Using Flame Atomic Absorption Spectrometry (F-AAS) by Standard Addition Method

NIST Standard Reference Material (SRM 1566b) was employed for the determination of Iron (Fe) andCalcium (Ca) as nutrients in food matrix using Flame Atomic Absorption Spectrometry (F-AAS). Thecertified value of SRM 1566b for Fe and Ca are 205.8 ± 6.8 mg/kg and 0.0838 ± 0.0020 (%) or 838 ±20 mg/kg, respectively. This certified values are based on results obtained by single primary method(Isotope Dilution Inductively Couple Plasma Mass Spectrometry) at NIST with confirmation by othermethods at National Metrology Institute of P.R. China. This paper proposed a method fordetermination of Fe and Ca in food matrix as recommended by AOAC official with a littlemodification. The method was commenced from the destruction of all organic matter by dry oxidationbefore analysis by standard addition. Under optimum condition, the results of the determination of Feand Ca in SRM 1566b were agreed well with the certificate value. This method would be useful forroutine analysis in food testing laboratories

Potensi Anthelmintik Akar Tanaman Putri Malu (Mimosa Pudica L.) Terhadap Hymenolepis Nana Pada Mencit

The objective of this experiment was to observe the anthelmintic effect of different concentration of root extract of the sensitive plant (Mimosa pudica L.) to Hymenolepis nana (Hymenolepis sp.) in mice. Sixty mice were divided into 6 groups consisting of 10 mice per group. Mice were infected with 100 infective eggs of Hymenolepis sp. after deworming by mebendazol. After reaching the prepaten phase (? 21st day), mice were treated with different concentration of root extract per oral, namely 100%, 50%, 25%, 12.5%. Positive control treated with mebendazole and negative control treated with distilled water. Fecal eggs were counted using McMaster method on day 2, 4, 6 and 8 after treatment. Mice were sacrificed for worm counting of Hymenolepis sp. in mice intestine on the day 10 day after treatment. Efication of the root extract to Hymenolepis sp. in mice for concentration 100%, 50%, 25% and 12.5% were 59.62%, 86.38%, 45.54%, 92.49% respectively. Pengaruh Klimat terhadap Infeksi Nematoda Saluran Pencernaan pada Sapi Potong di Kabupaten Bojonegoro, Provinsi Jawa Timur

This study aims to determine the effect of season on the prevalence of gastrointestinal nematode infections in beef cattle in Bojonegoro Regency. The study was conducted in the coverage area of the Sekolah Peternakan Rakyat (SPR) Mega Jaya, Kasiman District, Bojonegoro Regency. Fecal samples were taken from 263 heads cattle in the dry season and 270 headsin the rainy season. The local climatic data obtained from the One Stop Service Office of the Agency for Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics (BMKG). Results showed significant differences in the prevalence of nematodosis between the dry season to the rainy season. Prevalence of nematodosis in the dry season by 50.98%, significantly lower than the prevalence in the rainy season, which reached 67.78%

Pengaruh Program Literasi Sekolah terhadap Minat Baca Peserta Didik SMAN 2 Gadingrejo

The purpose of this research was explain and analyze how impact of school literation program toward state senior high school 2 Gadingrejo student interest 2017/2018 . A method used in this research is descriptive quantitative with sampel 65 respondents As sampel. A technique used for data collection is quisioner, interview and documentation and data analyzed using chi square. Based on the research it was discovered that there are a very strong and significant impact between implementation of school literation program with an increase of state senior high school 2 gadingrejo student interest in school term 2017/2018. This means a better implementation of school literation program will make a better student reading interest, more one is showed signs of positive sentiments an increase in reading interest of school tuition.Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menjelaskan dan menganalisis bagaimana pengaruh program literasi sekolah terhadap minat baca peserta didik di SMA Negeri 2 Gadingrejo tahun pelajaran 2017/2018. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan sampel 65 responden. Teknik yang digunakan, untuk pengumpulan data, adalah menggunakan angket, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Serta analisis data menggunakan chi kuadrat. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang kuat dan signifikan antara pelaksanaan gerakan literasi sekolah dengan peningkatan minat baca peserta didik di SMA Negeri 2 Gadingrejo tahun pelajaran 2017/2018. Artinya semakin baik pelaksanaan gerakan literasi sekolahnya maka akan semakin positif peningkatan minat baca peserta didik
