    Smart Farming- Drip Irrigation Controlled using LR-WPAN with hybrid Power

    Agricultural sectors always need technology to get higher yields. Wireless Sensor Technology with LR-WPAN gives the opportunity to control the plat with minimum cost. In this paper, we developed a system that optimally waters agricultural crops based on a wireless sensor network technology. The scope in this paper consists of two main components: a hybrid power source and a communication system between end nodes with the gateway. The first component was designed and implemented in control box hardware using PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) to generate the power to all components (microcontroller, sensor, and actuator). The second is transmission data from end node to gateway by utilizing Zigbee protocol. The automation uses data from three soil moisture sensors as a trigger to the ON/OFF solenoid valve for watering the field. It may conclude that the system can work properly, the data from the field was sent real-time. Also, the hybrid power was working properly to supply power

    Waste management is still the biggest problem in the country. Poor governance and lack of public awareness of environmental cleanliness cause waste to accumulate in the community. At present, waste management in the city of Batam is particularly the case with Mangsang Urban Vilage still using conventional garbage transportation systems where officers transport garbage once a week. Increasing population, garbage production will also increase. With the dense population causing waste management activities currently in use to be less effective, to help with this problem, there needs to be innovation in its handling. Therefore, the garbage transportation system requires an application that is integrated with IoT connected to the smartphone. The purpose of designing and building this application is to provide ease of managing waste where problems that have been difficult to overcome can be pressed like garbage accumulation, the difficulty of disposing of large sized garbage, the absence of complaints facilities, payment of ineffective cleaning fees, and lack of education in the community regarding waste can be overcome by innovation in this application. GoZibil The Garbage Handling Application can be used and has been tested using the black-box testing method to find out the functionality of the application that has been built.Pengelolaan sampah masih menjadi masalah terbesar di negara ini. Tata kelola yang buruk dan kurangnya kesadaran masyarakat akan kebersihan lingkungan menyebabkan sampah menumpuk di masyarakat. Saat ini pengelolaan sampah di Kota Batam khususnya yang terjadi di Kelurahan Mangsang masih menggunakan sistem pengangkutan sampah konvensional dimana petugas mengangkut sampah seminggu sekali. Meningkatnya jumlah penduduk, produksi sampah juga akan meningkat. Dengan padatnya penduduk menyebabkan kegiatan pengelolaan sampah yang saat ini digunakan menjadi kurang efektif, untuk membantu permasalahan tersebut perlu adanya inovasi dalam penanganannya. Oleh karena itu sistem pengangkutan sampah membutuhkan sebuah aplikasi yang terintegrasi dengan IoT yang terhubung dengan smartphone. Tujuan dari perancangan dan pembuatan aplikasi ini adalah untuk memberikan kemudahan dalam pengelolaan sampah dimana permasalahan yang selama ini sulit diatasi dapat ditekan seperti penumpukan sampah, sulitnya membuang sampah berukuran besar, tidak adanya fasilitas pengaduan, pembayaran biaya kebersihan yang tidak efektif. , dan kurangnya edukasi pada masyarakat mengenai sampah dapat diatasi dengan inovasi pada aplikasi ini. Aplikasi Penanganan Sampah GoZibil dapat digunakan dan telah diuji menggunakan metode black box testing untuk mengetahui fungsionalitas dari aplikasi yang telah dibangun

    Statistical analyses and quality of individual participant data network meta-analyses were suboptimal: a cross-sectional study

    Background Network meta-analyses using individual participant data (IPD-NMAs) have been increasingly used to compare the effects of multiple interventions. Although there have been many studies on statistical methods for IPD-NMAs, it is unclear whether there are statistical defects in published IPD-NMAs and whether the reporting of statistical analyses has improved. This study aimed to investigate statistical methods used and assess the reporting and methodological quality of IPD-NMAs. Methods We searched four bibliographic databases to identify published IPD-NMAs. The methodological quality was assessed using AMSTAR-2 and reporting quality assessed based on PRISMA-IPD and PRISMA-NMA. We performed stratified analyses and correlation analyses to explore the factors that might affect quality. Results We identified 21 IPD-NMAs. Only 23.8% of the included IPD-NMAs reported statistical techniques used for missing participant data, 42.9% assessed the consistency, and none assessed the transitivity. None of the included IPD-NMAs reported sources of funding for trials included, only 9.5% stated pre-registration of protocols, and 28.6% assessed the risk of bias in individual studies. For reporting quality, compliance rates were lower than 50.0% for more than half of the items. Less than 15.0% of the IPD-NMAs reported data integrity, presented the network geometry, or clarified risk of bias across studies. IPD-NMAs with statistical or epidemiological authors often better assessed the inconsistency (P = 0.017). IPD-NMAs with a priori protocol were associated with higher reporting quality in terms of search (P = 0.046), data collection process (P = 0.031), and syntheses of results (P = 0.006). Conclusions The reporting of statistical methods and compliance rates of methodological and reporting items of IPD-NMAs were suboptimal. Authors of future IPD-NMAs should address the identified flaws and strictly adhere to methodological and reporting guidelines

    International audienceKnown for his absurd claims of responsibility, from the solar eclipse to the in-flight destruction of the spatial shuttle Challenger, Gianni Motti is an artist whose work consists less in the manipulation of reality than of the audience, to whom his works impose themselves through medias’ narrative bias. He is sometimes called a “hacker” or an “art terrorist”. To understand this last designation, the linguistic phenomenon of claiming must be conceptualized properly in order to think the performative speech as a principle for direct action in the public space. A punctual analogy between artistic and terrorist action can then be pointed out, for both of them designate targets for their action and raise themselves as responsible for it. This comparison, however abusive, is worked upon by artists themselves, who take on the role of terrorists defending no other cause than that of art at last freed from the authorized exposition space.Connu pour ses revendications absurdes, allant de l’éclipse de soleil à la destruction en vol de la navette spatiale Challenger, Gianni Motti est un artiste dont la démarche est moins la manipulation du réel que du public auquel ses œuvres s’impose par le biais narrativisant des médias.
