Actitudes y comportamientos medioambientales en el turismo de golf: análisis cross-cultural y perspectiva de género

La presente tesis doctoral trata de alcanzar una serie de objetivos, tanto generales como específicos, que abarcan propuestas de carácter cualitativo y cuantitativo. El objetivo general se enmarca en el contexto de analizar y comprender las relaciones existentes entre el turismo de golf y la sostenibilidad. Siendo más concretos sobre el objeto de estudio que se propone en la tesis, podemos establecer varios objetivos específicos a alcanzar, como se detallan a continuación. (1) El primer objetivo principal de esta tesis es observar el progreso de la investigación sobre turismo de golf desde la perspectiva de la sostenibilidad. Por ello, se pretende realizar una revisión exhaustiva sobre este tópico, valorando su producción científica y tratando de descubrir aspectos concretos del contexto y de los contenidos de los estudios realizados hasta la actualidad, de modo que facilite identificar las distintas líneas de investigación que se han desarrollado y que presentan un mayor potencial para continuar con ellas. (2) El segundo objetivo principal de esta tesis es profundizar en el análisis de las relaciones entre actitudes y comportamientos medioambientales en el contexto del turismo de golf. Para ello, se trata de observar la influencia que puede ejercer las actitudes medioambientales sobre las intenciones medioambientales de los turistas de golf desde una perspectiva cross-cultural, es decir, valorando el efecto moderador que puede suponer la nacionalidad de estos individuos. (3) El tercer objetivo principal de esta tesis es examinar los factores personales que influyen en el comportamiento turístico proambiental desde una perspectiva de género. En concreto, se pretende analizar tanto las relaciones como las interacciones entre las actitudes medioambientales, los hábitos y las capacidades personales en el contexto turístico de golf, observando el efecto moderador del género

The Environmental Attitudes and Behaviours of European Golf Tourists

Environmental attitudes and behaviours have received relatively little attention in golf tourism, compared to other tourism research areas. Golf tourism provides products and services based on nature, and they should focus on the environment. Golf has become increasingly important in the development of European tourism within the last decade. Moreover, golf is one of the primary motivations for European tourists in the sports tourism sector. This study is based on a sample of 431 golf tourists, from different nationalities, who visit Andalusia, Spain. This research examines the relationship between environmental attitudes and behavioural intentions for three subsamples of European nationalities: British, German, and Spanish. This relationship was corroborated in the three subsamples. However, the national citizenship of European golf tourists was not a moderator effect on the relationship between environmental attitudes and behavioural intentions

Golf tourism and sustainability: content analysis and directions for future research

Golf tourism is an important sector in the tourism industry, in terms of average daily expenditure per visitor. However, golf tourism also generates social and political controversies, mainly due to its impact on the environment. The main objective of this paper is to observe the progress of research on golf tourism from the perspective of sustainability. For this, the study is based on identifying the scientific production on the subject from the Scopus and Web of Science databases. Thus, we have detected 46 articles published in scientific journals in the last 22 years. The findings indicate five lines of research, such as environmental impacts, environmental management, environmental attitudes and behaviors, conflict of interests, and sustainable management and planning. Interactions and relationships between personal factors in pro-environmental golf tourist behaviour: a gender analysis

There is a very clear link between tourism and sustainability due to the importance and consequences of the tourism sector in the world economy. Behavioural studies are among the major topics of sustainable tourism research. There are several factors that influence our sustainable behaviour at home and in vacation settings. In general, the main objective of this paper is to examine the personal factors in pro-environmental tourist behaviour from a gender perspective. This study is based on a sample of 347 golf tourists from 16 European countries. The results corroborated the relationships between ecological habits, personal capabilities and environmental attitudes. However, interactions between personal factors were more limited. It was shown that only the interaction between personal capabilities and externally-oriented habits have an influence on environmental attitudes. Also, some gender differences were found

Eficacia de la aplicación del propóleos al 8 % en alveolitis dentaria

Introduction: Propolis is a complex substance, from vegetal origin that is prepared by bees from a collection of resins produced in some plants. One of the more important actions is its antimicrobial activity, which is attributed basically to falvonoids, it helps in healing scars and estimulates immunological system, it is anti-inflammatory and antioxidant. Objective: To determine the effectiveness of propolis at 8 % in patients with alveolitis. Method: An experimental study, controlled clinical trial type, phase III, randomized, double-blind, in the emergency department of the polyclinic Jimmy Hirzel, from April 2014 to April 2015. The research involved 80 patients from 15 to 50 years without premedication and compensated chronic diseases, thus study group was composed of 40 patients who were treated with propolis at 8 % and the same number in the control group treated with alvogyl. The information was collected through a data collection form where the variables of pain, inflammation, scarring, and response to treatment were studied. Results: The following results showed for the study group: 25 patients (62.5 %) had pain relief within 5 minutes of applying the medicine, 30 patients (75 %) were not swollen in the third consultation, and 36 patients (90 %) were healing and 33 patients (82.5 %) responded favorably to treatment. In the control group, the results showed that 19 patients (47.5 %) got pain relieved within 5 minutes of applying the medicine, 25 patients (62.5 %) were not swollen, 34 patients (87.5 %) had complete healing, and 30 patients (75 %) had a favorable response to treatment. The statistical results showed no significant differences in the application of treatment with a p value of 0.58. Conclusion: There were no significative differences in the application of treatment with propolis at 8 % in relation with conventional treatment.Introducción: el propóleos, es una sustancia compleja, de origen vegetal, que preparan las abejas a partir de la recolección de resinas producidas en algunas plantas. Una de las actividades más importantes del propóleos es su actividad antimicrobiana, la cual se le atribuye básicamente a los flavonoides, ayuda en la cicatrización de las heridas, estimula el sistema inmunológico, antinflamatorio y antioxidante.Objetivo: determinar la eficacia del propóleos al 8 % en pacientes atendidos en la alveolitos.Método: se realizó un estudio experimental, tipo ensayo clínico controlado, fase lll, aleatorizado, a doble ciegas, en dos ramas. En el periodo  comprendido de abril 2014 a abril 2015, atendidos en la consulta de urgencias del policlínico Jimmy Hirzel de Bayamo.Resultados: los resultados mostraron para el grupo estudio 25 pacientes (62,5 %) alivio el dolor a los 5 minutos de aplicado el medicamento, 30 paciente (75 %) no estaban inflamados en la tercera consulta, así como 36 pacientes (90 %) tuvieron cicatrización y 33 pacientes (82,5 %) respondieron favorablemente al tratamiento, en el grupo control, los resultados mostraron que 19 pacientes (47,5 %) aliviaron el dolor a los 5 minutos de aplicado el medicamento, 25 pacientes (62,5 %) no estaban inflamados, 34 pacientes (87,5 %) tuvieron cicatrización total y 30 pacientes  (75 %) tuvieron una respuesta favorable al tratamiento.Conclusiones: no existieron diferencias significativas en la aplicación del tratamiento  con propóleos al 8 % con relación al tratamiento convencional.

Evaluación socioeconómica a las unidades de atención y orientación a población desplazada en el departamento del Huila

Para el desarrollo del tema se utilizará un método cualitativo y cuantitativo, que en primera instancia se centrara en un trabajo de campo, a través de entrevistas y visitas a la unidad de atención y Orientación (UAO) de la ciudad de Pitalito, igualmente se realizara un acompañamiento a los funcionarios encargados de brindar atención y asesoría, con el fin de reconocer los obstáculos y diseñar estrategias que permitan garantizar una atención adecuada. Este estudio permitirá conocer de fondo el proceso, y por ende permite conocer las necesidades y expectativas. Posteriormente, con la información recolectada en la interacción con estos individuos y los datos obtenidos a través de la investigación se hará un análisis de la situación reconociendo y estableciendo las variables relevantes que permiten valorar si la UAO está cumpliendo con la labor para la cual fue creada, con esto se realizará una evaluación para analizar la participación de los desplazados en los beneficios ofrecidos por el Gobierno que buscan garantizar mejores condiciones de vid

Estudio del comportamiento del consumidor según el grado de satisfacción: un análisis cross-cultural

El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo realizar un análisis cross cultural de los efectos de la satisfacción y calidad de servicio en las intenciones de comportamiento de los consumidores. Tras una revisión de la literatura académica, se establecen tres hipótesis a contrastar. Despite the development achieved in the country in the field of health and medical education, the surgical residency program has remained static for nearly three decades. In particular, surgical residents must acquire skills for endoscopic surgery during their specialized training. In light of this, the competency-based training, which is the result of the analysis and deductions emanating from scholars at the national and international level, is discussed. It is concluded that the competency-based approach to training in endoscopic surgery is necessary since it includes various components that correspond with the desired characteristics of the general surgeon performing this type of procedure

Comportamiento ecológico de los gestores de campos de golf en Andalucía (España)

La práctica del golf tiene un gran potencial turístico en países como España o en regiones como Andalucía. Pero es necesario cuidar de su desarrollo para que se haga de una manera racional y equilibrada. Recientemente, la Comunidad Autónoma de Andalucía ha aprobado una nueva normativa que regula las condiciones de implantación y funcionamiento de los campos de golf andaluces. Este trabajo presenta los resultados de un estudio realizado sobre la sostenibilidad de los campos de golf en Andalucía desde la perspectiva empresarial. Entre los principales resultados, se puede destacar que los directivos de campos de golf se sienten motivados en su comportamiento ecológico fundamentalmente por la necesidad de satisfacer aspectos empresariales (imagen y responsabilidad social), quedando en un segundo plano otros factores propios de su entorno, como las demandas de los jugadores, la influencia de la legislación y la de los grupos ecologistas
