The supersymmetric Penrose transform in six dimensions
We give a supersymmetric extension to the six-dimensional Penrose transform
and give an integral formula for the on-shell (0, 2) supermultiplet. The
relationship between super fields on space-time and twistor space is clarified
and the space-time superfield constraint equations are derived from the
geometry of supertwistor space. We also explain the extension to more general
(0,n) supermultiplets and give twistor actions for these theories.Comment: 20 page
Death after closed adolescent knee injury and popliteal artery occlusion: a case report and clinical review.
A healthy adolescent male soccer player sustained a radiograph-negative, effusion-negative physeal injury of the proximal tibia from a ground-level fall with traumatic occlusion of the popliteal artery. Orthopaedic evaluation and arteriography were delayed for 72 hours after the injury. He arrived at a tertiary referral center in multisystem organ failure secondary to lower extremity ischemic necrosis, septic pulmonary thromboembolism, and systemic shock. Emergent medical evaluation, a high index of suspicion, and a careful neurovascular examination are imperative after every closed knee injury in the young athlete
End-wall boundary layer measurements in a two-stage fan
Detailed flow measurements made in the casing boundary layer of a two-stage transonic fan are summarized. These measurements were taken at a station upstream of the fan, between all blade rows, and downstream of the last row. Conventional boundary layer parameters were calculated from the measured data. A classical two dimensional casing boundary layer was measured at the fan inlet and extended inward to approximately 15 percent of span. A highly three dimensional boundary layer was measured at the exit of each blade row and extended inward to approximately 10 percent of span. The steep radial gradient of axial velocity noted at the exit of the rotors was reduced substantially as the flow passed through the stators. This reduced gradient is attributed to flow mixing. The amount of flow mixing was reflected in the radial redistribution of total temperature as the flow passed through the stators. The blockage factors calculated from the measured data show an increase in blockage across the rotors and a decrease across the stators. For this fan the calculated blockages for the second stage were essentially the same as those for the first stage

New Measurements of the Radio Photosphere of Mira based on Data from the JVLA and ALMA
We present new measurements of the millimeter wavelength continuum emission
from the long period variable Mira ( Ceti) at frequencies of 46 GHz, 96 GHz,
and 229 GHz (~7 mm, 3 mm, and 1 mm) based on observations obtained
with the Jansky Very Large Array (JVLA) and the Atacama Large
Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA). The measured millimeter flux densities
are consistent with a radio photosphere model derived from previous
observations, where flux density, . The stellar disk
is resolved, and the measurements indicate a decrease in the size of the radio
photosphere at higher frequencies, as expected if the opacity decreases at
shorter wavelengths. The shape of the radio photosphere is found to be slightly
elongated, with a flattening of ~10-20%. The data also reveal evidence for
brightness non-uniformities on the surface of Mira at radio wavelengths. Mira's
hot companion, Mira B was detected at all three observed wavelengths, and we
measure a radius for its radio-emitting surface of
cm. The data presented here highlight the power of the JVLA and ALMA for the

Recent advances in Ni-H2 technology at NASA Lewis Research Center
The NASA Lewis Research Center has concentrated its efforts on advancing the Ni-H2 system technology for low Earth orbit applications. Component technology as well as the design principles were studied in an effort to understand the system behavior and failure mechanisms in order to increase performance and extend cycle life. The design principles were previously addressed. The component development is discussed, in particular the separator and nickel electrode and how these efforts will advance the Ni-H2 system technology
