Agentes embebidos para la gestión de sonidos

La inteligencia ambiental ha presentado avances a lo largo de los últimos años. La incorporación de técnicas de inteligencia artificial ha posibilitado aspectos como el reconocimiento de patrones permitiendo así una mejor adaptación de estos sistemas. En este trabajo se presenta la arquitectura multiagente PANGEA que incorpora diferentes agentes y sensores encargados de dar soporte a usuarios en el hogar caso de determinadas alarmas o incidencias. PANGEA – Platform for Automatic coNstruction of orGanizations of intElligent Agents

This article presents PANGEA, an agent platform to develop open multiagent systems, specifically those including organizational aspects such as virtual agent organizations. The platform allows the integral management of organizations and offers tools to the end user. Additionally, it includes a communication protocol based on the IRC standard, which facilitates implementation and remains robust even with a large number of connections. The introduction of a CommunicationAgent and a Sniffer make it possible to offer web services for the distributed control of interaction

Menu Navigation in Mobile Devices Using the Accelerometer

In this article an application for mobile devices is presented. This application uses the accelerometer integrated into the own device to detect certain user movements and use them to navigate through the menus. The application is destined to those users with visual incapacity who need an alternative mechanism for the selection of the different options in the menus

Proximity Detection Prototype Adapted to a Work Environment

This article presents a proximity detection prototype that uses ZigBee technology. The prototype is primarily oriented to proximity detection within an office environment and some of the particular characteristics specific to such an environment, including the integration of people with disabilities into the workplace. This allows the system to define and manage the different profiles of people with disabilities, facilitating their job assimilation by automatically switching on or off the computer upon detecting the user’s presence, or initiating a procedure that automatically adapts the computer to the personal needs of the user

Propuesta de inclusión de capacidades predictivas en un teclado virtual

En este trabajo se propone la implementación de capacidades predictivas en un teclado virtual. Estas capacidades han sido diseñadas pensando específicamente en personas con algún tipo de discapacidad motriz que les impida utilizar un teclado convencional. Se propone un sistema de predicción con capacidad de aprendizaje de nuevas palabras y del estilo de escritura del usuario. Se propone realizar la predicción de la palabra actual a partir de las teclas pulsadas y de la palabra siguiente una vez completada la palabra actual. Todo ello con el ob jetivo de minimizar el número de pulsaciones de teclas necesario para escribir un texto mediante un teclado virtual. Los resultados obtenidos muestran que un 21% de las palabras se pueden escribir con una única pulsación y que dos pulsaciones son suficientes para escribir otro 37% ; lo que permite ahorrar hasta un 42% de pulsaciones al escribir un texto en estilo literario

Using the Optical Flow to Implement a Relative Virtual Mouse Controlled by Head Movements

The following paper introduces the work conducted to create a relative virtual mouse based on the interpretation of head movements and face gesture through a low cost camera and the optical flow of the images. This virtual device is designed specifically as an alternative non-contact pointer for people with mobility impairments in the upper extremities and reduced head control. The proposed virtual device was compared with a conventional mouse, a touchpad and a digital joystick. Validation results show performances close to a digital joystick but far away from a conventional mouse
