Angle is a complex topic defined in a variety of contexts; some define angle to be as a pair of rays coming from a single point, as a rotation about a single point, or in a curve. Due to the multiple definitions of angle students get confused as to what an angle truly consists of. This study paid close attention to the misconceptions high school geometry students’ hold about the concept of angle and how to help them gain a more conceptual understanding of this essential concept with the use of different Diagrams. The main idea behind the conduction of this study is to investigate the effect of use of diagrams as instructional aids on the conceptual understanding of angles. The study hypothesizes that angle can be learned using interactive Diagrams. The results of this study showed that diagrams which based on different A.V aids was shown to be more beneficial for the students who used to clear the concept of angles

Linking Managerial Coaching with Employees' Innovative Work Behaviors through Affective Supervisory Commitment: Evidence from Pakistan

Organizations in the era of globalization are promoting managerial coaching (MC) as human resource development practice to improve employees' outcomes in the workplace. The existing literature on manager coaching lacks the empirical studies showing the linking MC with attitudes and behaviors of employees. To fill the gap mentioned above, this study explores the direct linkage between the MC and innovative work behaviors (IWBs) of employees as well as an indirect relationship through the intervening role of affective supervisory commitment (ASC). The 250 surveys were sent to employees working in the software industry of Pakistan, and 207 questionnaires were received back from the respondents, and the response rate was approximately 83%. The findings showed that managerial coaching had a positive influence on innovative work behaviors among employees. Results also showed that ASC mediated the link between MC and IWBs. Affective supervisory commitment as a mediator has not been tested yet between the linkage of MC with IWBs. The implications of the study and limitations are also discussed. This study investigates how perceived corporate social responsibility directly influence the job satisfaction and organizational citizenship behavior of employees, and indirectly influence through the mediating effect work engagement. A questionnaire-based survey was conducted to collect data from 327 students of MBA executive employed in different organizations of Lahore, Pakistan. Structural equation modeling was applied to test the hypothesized conceptual model. Results reveal that corporate social responsibility activities of the organizations increase job satisfaction and discretionary behaviors or organizational citizenship behavior among employees. CSR also increases work engagement, which, in turn, increases job satisfaction and organizational citizenship behavior as well. This study has shown that concerns toward CSR have increased in the business organization operating in developing countries, and employees working in those organizations are reciprocating to CSR through positive outcomes in the workplace. The employees, as internal stakeholders are responding favorably to the CSR. As per the best of researchers' knowledge, the study firstly tests the mediating role of work engagement in the linkage of CSR with job satisfaction and organizational citizenship behavior. The theoretical and practical implications are also discussed. Objective: The objective was to establish patterns of diseased vessels amongst the study population.Methodology: This retrospective descriptive study analyzed the data of 396 patients who underwent diagnostic angiographies at a large tertiary care public hospital in Islamabad, from January-2018 till October 2018. All data was coded and recorded in SPSS and was quantitatively run to find percentages and tests of significance were done. Results: We found that single vessel disease was the most common at 31.6%, and that the left anterior descending was the most commonly involved vessel with the most significant coronary artery disease, 86.6% and 71.4% respectively. Conclusion: Hypertension and diabetes has a great burden on our South Asian population and contribution to the development of coronary artery disease. Severe disease present in one vessel should alert physicians to the possibility of multi-vessel involvement and multi vessel progression in the disease progress.  Delineation of the vessel involvement pattern in South Asians forms the basis for formulating local guidelines and strategies for tackling coronary artery disease. Keywords: Angiography, CAD, patterns

Humanity has faced several foes over the centuries, a formidable one amongst them is the current pandemic of COVID-19. The symptoms of COVID-19 are more or less related to the nose and throat. Therefore, patients more often present to Ear Nose Throat (ENT) clinics with symptoms including cough, sore throat, fever and shortness of breath. In the management of head and neck pathologies, as the airway is a direct source of infection, the impact of COVID-19 holds special significance. This review has attempted to explain the various aspects of the disease itself, its diagnosis, the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) to provide an overview of the evolving recommendations in head and neck patients, the future outlook and the limitations faced in developing countries specifically for ENT patients

China-Pakistan Economic corridor is a game-changing project between China andPakistan. This corridor provides opportunities for economic Development to Pakistan especially to the people of Balochistan. This research paper determined the concept of CPEC in the specific context of socio-economic life of local people. It will look the positive and negative aspects of the projects by taking the local resident into consideration. This study has tended to rely on qualitative methods in order to explain the use, values and interpretation of concepts. The study is qualitative therefore; in depth semi structure interviews and focus group discussion are selected as a tool of data collection. The findings of study are discussed in details. The practical implications of study are future directions are also discussed

Impacts of Active Transport on Health : with a focus on physical activity, air pollution, and cardiovascular disease

Background: There are increasing number of health impact assessment studies investigating the health effects by transferring trips made by motorised transport to active commuting; however, air pollution exposure during active commuting and its impact on health has been less thoroughly assessed. It is furthermore uncertain whether there is any interaction effect between air pollution and physical activity for the risk of cardiovascular diseases. The overall aim of the thesis was to improve the knowledge base for assessments of the total impact on health of a mode shift resulting in both increased physical activity and increased air pollution exposure, especially regarding combined effects on cardiovascular risks. Methods: The thesis is based on four studies. In Study I, methodological issues related to the assessment of air pollution in previous studies on the health impact of changes in transport mode were critically reviewed. In Study II, the effect of leisure time and active commuting physical activity, on chronic diseases was quantified by conducting a random-effect meta-analysis. In two prospective cohort studies, participants of the Västerbotten Intervention Programme living in the Umeå region were studied to assess the impact as well as interaction effect of physical activity and air pollution on the incidence (Study III) and recurrence (Study IV) of cardiovascular diseases. Results: In previous studies on the health impact of changes in transport mode, there was a large methodological discrepancy between studies due to different assumptions for air pollution exposure assessments in general populations and commuters as well as methods for estimation of impacts. Randomeffect meta-analyses showed a beneficial effect of leisure time physical activity and active commuting on morbidity among individuals performing these activities at the minimum level of physical activity recommended by WHO, equivalent to 11.25 MET-hours per week. Beneficial effects of exercise on firstincident ischemic heart disease (IHD) were observed among individuals with high residential PM10/PM2.5 concentrations, but not among individuals with low concentrations. Adverse effects associated with high residential PM10 and PM2.5 concentrations were only observed among the individuals whom less frequently exercised. A statistically significant interaction effect was found between air pollution and exercise in training clothes for first-incident IHD but not for recurrence of IHD/stroke. Conclusions: The results in this thesis strengthen the public health message that physical activity is beneficial for cardiovascular health, even in areas with air pollution. Therefore, public health and transport policies should be designed to improve population health through promotion of active transport and mitigation of air pollution.Zoom: https://umu.zoom.us/j/62645020569Passcode: 223344</p
