Based on a needs analysis carried out by the author through observations and interviews with class VI teachers and students at SD Negeri 2 Panggul, they found a problem, namely the lack of learning media that suited the students' characteristics. The teacher's learning process still uses the lecture method and does not use learning media. Under these conditions, students experience difficulty in understanding the material being studied and cannot be accepted well. Therefore, class VI students hope that there will be learning media that is easy to understand and able to provide an understanding of ASEAN country material This research uses the steps contained in the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation. This research data is in the form of needs analysis results, validation results from material experts and media experts, and user response results including students and teachers. Collection techniques The data used were observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation. The subjects of this research were class VI students at SDN 2 Panggul. The results of the media expert validation test got a score percentage of 87%, and for the material validation test they got a score percentage of 71%. Meanwhile, the results from student user responses reached 85%. Meanwhile, the results from teacher user responses reached 84%. Based on the results of this research, it can be concluded that the rolling ball media shows valid criteria and can be used in the thematic learning process for theme 8 subtheme 1 material on ASEAN countries in grade VI elementary school

Design of a Steering Linkage Mechanism for a Simple Three Wheeled Car

    Get PDF
One of the factors in achieving high energy efficiency in terms of fuel consumption of a car is the need to have simple and light steering system, and a three wheeled car is one of the ways to achieve this. This project attempts to design a steering linkage mechanism for a three wheeled vehicle, with two in front and one rear wheel, rear driven. Analytical and critical studies were made prior and parallel with the design to assure stability and achieved required requirements. Steering system must provide the means to steer the vehicle with stability, predictability, and enough cornering radial. Studies include analytical and critical evidence to prove the designs are logical and able to maximize the car‟s efficiency

HybridMiner: Mining Maximal Frequent Itemsets Using Hybrid Database Representation Approach

In this paper we present a novel hybrid (arraybased layout and vertical bitmap layout) database representation approach for mining complete Maximal Frequent Itemset (MFI) on sparse and large datasets. Our work is novel in terms of scalability, item search order and two horizontal and vertical projection techniques. We also present a maximal algorithm using this hybrid database representation approach. Different experimental results on real and sparse benchmark datasets show that our approach is better than previous state of art maximal algorithms.Comment: 8 Pages In the proceedings of 9th IEEE-INMIC 2005, Karachi, Pakistan, 200

To study the cytological pattern of salivary glands swellings on fine needle aspiration cytology (FNAC). Methods: Patients who underwent fine needle aspiration cytology (FNAC) for their salivary gland swellings, were included. Data was analyzed from various angles including site, diagnostic categories, diagnostic entities, age and gender. Results: Parotid gland (74.3%) was the most frequently affected site, followed by submandibular gland (23.6%). The cases were divided into four main reporting groups i.e. unsatisfactory, inconclusive/ lesion of undetermined significance, non neoplastic and neoplastic constituting 0.7%, 3.6%, 22.9% and 72.9% of all the lesions respectively. Non neoplastic lesions included non specific sialadenitis, cystic lesions without any evidence of neoplasia and sialadenosis comprising 43.8%, 37.5% and 18.8% of these lesions respectively. Neoplastic lesions were divided into three categories namely benign, malignant and indeterminate. Benign tumors constituted 79 (56.4%), malignant neoplasms consisted of 8 (5.7%) and indeterminate category contained 15 (10.7%) of all cases. Mean age was 43 years and MF ratio was 1:1.7. Pleomorphic adenoma was the most frequent diagnosis among all cases, in all neoplasms as well as in benign neoplasms. Conclusion: Parotid was the commonest site of involvement. Pleomorphic adenoma and mucoepidermoid carcinoma were the most common lesions in benign and malignant neoplastic categories respectively
