Yang-Mills Equations of Motion for the Higgs Sector of SU(3)-Equivariant Quiver Gauge Theories
We consider SU(3)-equivariant dimensional reduction of Yang-Mills theory on
spaces of the form R x SU(3)/H, with H equals either SU(2) x U(1) or U(1) x
U(1). For the corresponding quiver gauge theory we derive the equations of
motion and construct some specific solutions for the Higgs fields using
different gauge groups. Specifically we choose the gauge groups U(6) and U(8)
for the space R x CP^2 as well as the gauge group U(3) for the space R x
SU(3)/U(1)xU(1), and derive Yang-Mills equations for the latter one using a
spin connection endowed with a non-vanishing torsion. We find that a specific
value for the torsion is necessary in order to obtain non-trivial solutions of
Yang-Mills equations. Finally, we take the space R x CP^1 x CP^2 and derive the
equations of motion for the Higgs sector for a U(3m+3) gauge theory.Comment: 21 pages, 4 figures; v2: figures added, references updated, published

Paramagnon dispersion in -FeSe observed by Fe -edge resonant inelastic x-ray scattering
We report an Fe -edge resonant inelastic x-ray scattering (RIXS) study of
the unusual superconductor -FeSe. The high energy resolution of this
RIXS experiment (55meV FWHM) made it possible to resolve
low-energy excitations of the Fe manifold. These include a broad peak
which shows dispersive trends between 100-200meV along the and
directions of the one-Fe square reciprocal lattice, and which can
be attributed to paramagnon excitations. The multi-band valence state of FeSe
is among the most metallic in which such excitations have been discerned by
soft x-ray RIXS
Positionally dependent ^(15)N fraction factors in the UV photolysis of N_2O determined by high resolution FTIR spectroscopy
Positionally dependent fractionation factors for the photolysis of isotopomers of N_2O in natural abundance have been determined by high resolution FTIR spectroscopy at three photolysis wavelengths. Fractionation factors show clear 15N position and photolysis wavelength dependence and are in qualitative agreement with theoretical models but are twice as large. The fractionation factors increase with photolysis wavelength from 193 to 211 nm, with the fractionation factors at 207.6 nm for ^(14)N^(15)N^916)O, ^(15)N^(14)N^(16)O and ^(14)N^(14)N^(18)O equal to â66.5±5â°,â27.1±6â° and â49±10â°, respectively

We present an efficient algorithm for determining the Hilbert series of an
effective theory and provide a companion code called ECO (Efficient Counting of
Operators) in FORM. For example, the Hilbert series for the dimension 15
operators in the Standard Model Effective Theory (SMEFT) can be obtained in a
minute on a single CPU core. While our implementation focusses on SMEFT, we
allow for a flexible user input of the light degrees of freedom. Furthermore,
gravity, as well as additional U(1) global or gauge symmetries can be included.Comment: 9 pages, no figures, FORM files include
