    This study tries to explore the education process of the perject man (insan kamil) in the sufi center/ zawiyyah of Ilmu Syaththariah. This study finds several points: firstly, in the Ilmu Syaththariah perspective, Wasithah is the elite respondent (the only reference) in having a religious. He is al-muthohharun (yang disucikan Tuhan) who is given ability to understand the Qur'an. The main fumtion of Wasithah is as the people of invocation (ahladz dzikri), uniting the human essence with the God essence in order that man can absolutety worship the God essence (not His name) when he conducts the religious activities. In praying, man must remember God in order that he is not sentenced to be negligent because one who is negligent to remember God is judged to come into the hell. Secondly, knowing the divine essence through being the people of invocation (ahli zikir) becomes the first step in the process of walking the way of being the perfect man. Then, it is followed by performing spiritual guide's advice wholeheartedly with heart, spirit, and intelledual intuition that always remember the essence of divine mystery. Thirdly, the education process of the perfect man emphasizes the consciousness of the discriples that being the perfect man is due to God's guidance. Therefore, the disciples are resuscitated in order to always hope obtaining His forgiveness, His merry, His help, His virtue, and always hope the Wasithah's grace and blessing. Man also hopes the easiness in performing all spiritual guides' advices until he reaches the spiritual degree (martabat) of the perfed man. Fourthly, the concept of the pe,fect man in the Ilmu Syaththariah perspective can be implemented in the education institutions. Based on the surory, it shows that the students who become the Syaththariah community look more faithful in the observance ef religious obligations than those who do not involve in this the Syaththariah community in the same education institutions

    Kevalidan atau kesahihan suatu kesimpulan, Keputusan atau penyelesaian tergantung pada keterkaitan antara fakta-fakta, gejala-gejala, ide-ide (sebagai suatu yang sudah ada, suatu yang diketahui) dengan kesimpulan tersebut. Khususnya dalam bentuk implikasi (1) “jika p, maka q”, diubah susunannya atau ditambahkan dengan negasi, menjadi bentuk-bentuk (2) “jika q, maka p” atau (3) “jika bukan p, maka bukan q” atau (4) “jika bukan q, maka bukan p”. Jika diketahui nilai kebenaran dari salah satu bentuk itu, dapat diperiksa nilai kebenaran yang lainnya. Pada penelitian ini, penentuan nilai kebenaran dari bentuk (1), (2), (3), dan (4) ini diterapkan pada suatu materi matematika, yaitu persamaan garis di kelas 2 pada 4 SLTPN di Jawa Barat pada catruwulan 2. Pelaksanaan penelitian ini sampel mengikuti langkah sebagai berikut (1) Guru-guru dengan diketahui tim peneliti mengalokasikan waktu untuk materi ‘persamaan garis\u27 (12-14 jam pelajaran). (2) Untuk kelas Eksperimen waktu tersebut dikurangi 2 jam pelajaran untuk memberikan kajian implikasi, sedang untuk kontrol waktunya tetap utuh. (3)setelah materi tersampaikan diberikan seperangkat soal berbentuk B-S. (4) Hasil pekerjaan diolah dan dianalisis. Diperoleh hasil sebagai berikut (1) Tanpa melihat bentuk soal B-S, kelas eksperimen memperoleh rata-rata 61,7619 dan kelas kontrol memperoleh 57,1871 dengan perbedaan rata-rata 4,5748 dengan skala nilai 0-100 perbedaan ini bermakna dengan taraf kepercayaan α=0,05 (2) bilas soal diperhatikan yaitu dengan menggunakan teori peluang, tingkat penguasaan terhadap materi persamaan garis untuk kelas eksperimen 23,5238 dan kelas kontrol 14,3742 dengan skala 0-100 perbedaan ini juga bermakna, karena secara statistik nilai nilai itu ekuivalen, hanya mentransformasikan dengan menggeser rata-rata dan mengalikan rentang dengan suatu nilai

    A new method to optimize geometric design of electrostatic sensor electrodes using particle swarm optimization

    Optimization of electrostatic sensor electrodes plays a significant role to achieve more homogenous spatial sensitivity. Particle swarm optimization (PSO) is a simple method that has attracted many attentions in recent years. In this paper, the physical sizes of several electrodes for electrostatic sensors are optimized using the PSO technique. Spatial sensitivity of electrode is considered as objective function in this method. Additionally, the thickness and length of electrode are described as physical characteristics of electrode, which need to be optimized. In order to verify this optimization method, different electrodes are applied in laboratory. The optimal value of thickness and length of electrode according to the optimization and experimentation are 5mm and 6mm, respectively. As a result, there is a great agreement between the optimization and experimental results
