&nbsp

The objective for this system is to develop a system that can help owners for car rental to advance their car rental business and to help student that searching for rental car more effectively. Rapid Application Development (RAD) has been chosen as methodology to develop this system. The RAD consist of four stages, first is requirement planning stage, user design stage, rapid construction stage and last is transition stage. After development of the system, client were given the user acceptance test (UAT) to ensure that all function work according to the requirement without any error. The UAT testing ensure the system have achieve the objective and able to solve the problem that happen before

The relationship between self-determination motivation and eating behaviour of obese students

    Get PDF
The World Health Organization (WHO) (2008) reported that overweight and obesity are the fifth major risk for global deaths. At least 2.8 million adults die every year due to overweight or obesity. This study was performed to examine the relationship between motivation and eating behaviour among obese students. This quantitative study involved 400 form four and form five students with Body Mass Index (BMI) of 25.00 and above. This study was conducted in the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur. The data of this study were collected based on the Behavioral Regulation in Eating Questionnaire (BREQ) by Mullan, Markland and Ingledew (1997). Whereas the eating behaviour questionnaire was adapted from Child Eating Behavior Qestionnaire (CEBQ) (Santos, Gonzalez, Smalley, & Cataldo, 2011). The findings of this study clearly showed that self-determination motivation of the obese students was at a moderate level (M=3.12, SD=0.59). The results also clearly showed that there was a significant relationship between motivation and eating behaviour of the obese students. Majority of the respondent (76.0%) possessed moderate level of self-determination motivation. Those who possessed high self-determination motivation were around 17.3% (69 respondents) while those who possessed low self-determination motivation were around 68% (27 respondents). The findings indicate that, overweight students and students with obesity possessed moderate internal and external motivation towards healthy eating habit. They do not possessed high internal motivation towards healthy eating habit. They were also found failed to set their objectives towards achieving healthy eating habit. It was alarming since it is common for any individual to have high self-determination motivation in order to achieve their goals, which in this case, achieving a healthy eating habit. They do not require any external factors, such as other people in order to achieve their goals. They themselves should determine their objectives, and later try to achieve those objectives. This study suggests an r correlation coefficient of .114. Since the r correlation coefficient was significant (p<.05), it indicates that there was a significant positive relationship between self-determination motivation and healthy eating habit. The size of r correlation coefficient (r=.114) indicates a weak relationship between those variables

How do customers react when they are called by their first name in a service encounter? This paper explores the influence of a service provider's status, physical contact and age on customers' feelings of irritation when they are first-named by a service provider. Data for the study was a sample of ITM students. From three replications of the study, mixed support was obtained for the influence of status and physical contact, while age registered a non-significant influence on customers' level of irritation. Some interactions between the independent variables were also discovered

The Potential Role of Melatonin on Memory Function: Lessons from Rodent Studies

    Get PDF
Pineal melatonin biosynthesis is regulated by the circadian clock located in the suprachiasmatic nucleus of the hypothalamus. Melatonin has been found to modulate the learning and memory process in human as well as in animals. Endogenous melatonin modulates the process of newly acquired information into long-term memory, while melatonin treatment has been found to reduce memory deficits in elderly people and in various animal models. However, the mechanisms mediating the enhancing effect of melatonin on memory remain elusive. This review intends to explore the possible mechanisms by looking at previous data on the effects of melatonin treatment on memory performance in rodents

Adoption of the Systematic Facilities Management Approach to the Sustainable Performance of Mosques

    Get PDF
Mosques play a vital role in the Islamic community. Philosophically, they have been developed not only as places of worship, but also to function as a centre for various aspects of Islamic community development. However, these days, with the increasing number of mosques being built, it has become a big challenge for the mosque authorities to maintain the role of the institution as the centre of the Islamic community.  This paper explores previously unstudied issues related to the critical success factors (CSFs) of the facilities management (FM) of mosques. The final aim of the review is to develop a conceptual framework incorporating a systematic FM approach to the sustainable performance of mosques. It makes a comprehensive literature review of numerous published sources, such as journals, books, websites, magazines and unpublished theses, focusing on understanding of the concept of the FM of mosques, the concept of the CSF approach, the growing importance of FM, and its significant role in supporting the current functions of mosques. The proposed conceptual framework developed from the literature review will provide guidelines and understanding of how FM should be conceived, managed and integrated with other key management activities within the context of mosques in Malaysia. It will also provide understanding of the best practical approach to the FM of mosques. The paper contends that this approach is certain to contribute to an environment and society as prosperous as it was during the golden age of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) if the concepts outlined in the proposed framework are adopted and adapted
