Aisyiyah Busthanul Athfal Kindergarten (TK ABA) is a pre-primary educational institution established by the Muhammadiyah foundation, which is expected to create quality future generations in terms of formal, religious, and social education. In managing a kindergarten institution, a management system and adequate human resources are needed in terms of skills such as information technology (IT) skills. The purpose of the community service activities carried out is to introduce IT skills to the teachers of TK ABA Ponggalan, Giwangan. These community service activities were carried out by providing 4-meetings, computer training, and introduction to computer applications that are important in learning management at TK ABA. The results of data analysis showed that 83.33% of teachers had never received formal or non-formal IT training. The evaluation of community service activities shows that 100% of teachers are satisfied with the training provided. The aspect with the lowest level of satisfaction is related to the adequacy of the material provided in the training because it is still at the introductory level. Through the service activities carried out, it can be concluded that providing IT training for teachers of TK ABA is essential in supporting the management and learning at TK ABA Ponggalan, Giwangan. This, of course, can increase the trust of parents and the interest of prospective students in schools, which indirectly affects school income and welfare

Objective: Anticonvulsant is one class of drugs often used off-label. This study was conducted to investigate the prevalence and the indication of the off-label use of anticonvulsants in a private hospital in Java, Indonesia. Methods: This was an observational study with a retrospective data collection in a private hospital in Java. Data were obtained on the prescription of anticonvulsants. Indications of the use of anticonvulsants were obtained from the medical records of patients who were prescribed anticonvulsants. The off-label use of anticonvulsants was defined a prescribing of medication outside the indication approved by The National Agency of Drug and Food Control Indonesia (NA-DFC). The use off-label of anticonvulsants was calculated by descriptive analysis and presented as a percentage. Results: It showed that in one year there were 5,310 for 1,316 patients: of this 462 patients (35.11%) were for an off-label use. The anticonvulsants used off-label were oxcarbazepine 67.27% (37/55), carbamazepine 46.15% (54/117), pregabalin45.45% (60/132), phenytoin37.62% (225/598), valproate 25.34% (37/109), and gabapentin 18.28% (49/219). The highest off-label use of anticonvulsants was found in neurological and psychiatric disorders 67.32% (n=311), and on 97.19% of them were not supported by strong clinical evidence. Conclusion: The off-label use of anticonvulsants occurred in one-third of patients receiving prescriptions of anticonvulsants, even though for most of them there was a lack of evidence. More attention must be paid to the efficacy and risk of side effects of the drug used

Oxcarbazepine is a second-generation anticonvulsant drug that is a keto analog of carbamazepine. Oxcarbazepine was approved by The National Agency of Drug and Food Control Indonesia (NA-DFC) for generalized epilepsy, tonic-clonic primary and partial epilepsy with or without secondary generalization. However, as other anticonvulsants, oxcarbazepine is also often used without approved indication (off-label). The aim of this study is to investigate the off-label use of oxcarbazepine through an observational study with retrospective data collection. Data were obtained from four hospitals in Yogyakarta, namely Dr. Sardjito Hospital, UGM Hospital, PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital and Bethesda Hospital. Off-label use of oxcarbazepine was identified based on official registration by NA-DFC Indonesia. The results of this study showed that the use of oxcarbazepine in 2014 was 224 prescriptions, which 117 (52.68%) was off-label. Most off-label indications according to ICD-10 were cephalgia 48 (41.03%), followed by trigeminal neuralgia 35 (29.91%), stroke 6 (5.13%) and others 29 (23.93%). From these study, the off-label use of oxcarbazepine was mostly in the cases of neuropathic pain

The off-label use of carbamazepine were 149 prescriptions (59.4%) for neuropathic pain, 83 prescriptions (33.0%) for nociceptive pain, and 19 prescriptions (7.6%) for other indications. Conclusion: The mostly off-label use of carbamazepine in Indonesia was in neuropathic pain with low evidence. Further research to study the efficacy and the risk of off-label use of carbamazepine may be an essential step toward defining the potential for such purpose

Off-label drug use is the prescription of drugs outside the indications approved by the authorized agency. The reasons for off-label drug use include a lack of clinical response to previous treatments, intolerance, or contraindications to drug therapy. The scientific evidence of off-label prescribing was lacking, and the risk of adverse events increased. This study aims to identify the off-label drug use for patients with neurological disorders at the Psychiatric Hospital “Grhasia” Yogyakarta. This study used a descriptive observational design with a cross-sectional method. Data collection was conducted retrospectively. Sampling was carried out by using the purposive sampling technique. The sample was patients who received a psychotropic prescription at the Psychiatric Hospital “Grhasia” Yogyakarta in January-December 2019. The data were analyzed by scrutinizing the therapeutic goals according to the diagnosis on the medical record. Prescriptions not matching the indications registered by NADFC are included in the off-label category. We used descriptive analytics for demographic data, disease diagnosis, and frequency of the off-label use of drug in neurological disorders. The research obtained a total sample of 662 patients that met the inclusion criteria, with 2,823 psychiatric drugs used. The off-label use of drug in neurological disorders at the Psychiatric Hospital “Grhasia” Yogyakarta was 884 (31%). The most frequent off-label use was lorazepam (17.53%). This study concludes that there is an off-label prescription at the Psychiatric Hospital “Grhasia” Yogyakarta. Some of the off-label use has no solid scientific evidence. These results require further research regarding the reasons for off-label prescribing and the patient's safety

Posyandu activities for the elderly, originally routine twice a month, have been stopped due to the Covid-19 pandemic. When the pandemic shifts and activities can be carried out offline again with health protocols, the cadres have difficulty reactivating activities. On the other hand, the elderly are vulnerable during the Covid-19 pandemic, so they must receive more attention. This community service is carried out to foster elderly cadres to reactivate posyandu activities for the elderly with health protocols. The UMY service team collaborated with AMC Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta Hospital in collaboration with Branch Manager Aisyiah Umbulharjo. PCA Umbulharjo cadres who became elderly cadres in their respective areas were provided with material for elderly health and healthy exercise for the elderly. The service team supervises the activities of these cadres at the posyandu for the elderly. Community service activities attended by 37 participants from 13 PRA were carried out on March 6, 2022, providing elderly health materials and elderly gymnastics. The average age of the participants was 56.45 years. Before the activity, a pretest was conducted to determine the cadres' knowledge about the health of the elderly. The average pretest value was 59.39. After debriefing and training, a post-test was held, and the average score was 85.45. From the pre-post-test value, it can be seen that there is a significant increase in the cadres' knowledge of the health of the elderly. The service team also assists elderly cadres in creating activity programs for the elderly to be physically and mentally healthy. The cadres were very enthusiastic about this community service activity. The service team hopes that the elderly cadres can do activities for the elderly and make the elderly physically and mentally healthy after the service
