Проаналізовані переваги і недоліки таких поселень, принципи їх створення та основні проблеми соціального та економічного характеру, що можуть виникати при їх організації.В статье рассматриваются перспективы создания на территории Украины сети экологических поселков по аналогии с мировыми тенденциями. Проанализированы преимущества и недостатки таких поселений, принципы их создания и основные проблемы социального и экономического характера, которые могут возникать при их организации.The perspectives of ecosettlements network development in Ukraine have been considered in the paper according to the world trends. ОЦІНКА МЕДИКО-ЕКОЛОГІЧНИХ НАСЛІДКІВ ЗАБРУДНЕННЯ АТМОСФЕРНОГО ПОВІТРЯ НАФТОПРОДУКТАМИ

The article deals with the dependence between atmospheric air pollution, resulted by the activity of fuel filling stations, and the morbidity of the population at the adjacent areas. The major human health consequences, arising from the inhalation of volatile components of commercial petroleum products, have been analyzed. It has been established that the content of petroleum products in the atmosphere in the zone of fuel filling stations influence exceeds the maximum permissible and corresponding background values. With the help of mathematical analysis it is determined that at these territories the risk for the population to get diseased with respiratory forms of allergy, asthma and chronic respiratory system disorders is higher, as compared with the territories outside the influence of fuel filling stations.У статті розглядається взаємозв’язок забруднення атмосферного повітря внаслідок діяльності паливозаправних об’єктів і захворюваності населення на прилеглих ділянках. Проаналізовані основні наслідки для здоров’я, що можуть виникати при інгаляційному надходженні в організм людини летких компонентів товарних нафтопродуктів. Встановлено, що рівні вмісту нафтопродуктів у атмосферному повітрі в зоні впливу АЗС перевищують гранично допустимі та відповідні фонові значення. За допомогою математичного аналізу визначено, що на відповідних територіях ризик захворювання населення на респіраторні форми алергії, астму та хронічні розлади респіраторної системи є вищою, порівняно з територіями поза впливом АЗС

Inheritance of high prolificacy of the Olkuska sheep (preliminary results)

Studies are being conducted on the mode of inheritance of high reproductive performance of the Olkuska (O) sheep, a local Polish breed. Ten O were used in crosses with Polish Merino (PM) ewes. The ovulation rate of 60 F1 ewes (O x PM) and 129 pure PM ewes was stated by means of laparoscopy. The prolificacy of female ancestors, full-sisters and progeny of 3 O rams was extensively analysed

The issues of environmental consciousness formation among the students of nonenvironmental specialties are considered. The preconditions of environmental culture formation during secondary education have been analyzed on the example of Ukraine, Canada, Germany and Sweden. The efficiency of environmental impacts understanding among the students was tested and evaluated on the example of the environmental impacts of transport. ЕНЕРГЕТИЧНИЙ АУДИТ ЯК ОСНОВА ПІДВИЩЕННЯ ЕНЕРГОЕФЕКТИВНОСТІ ВИРОБНИЧИХ ТА ЖИТЛОВИХ ОБ’ЄКТІВ

The need of energy audit conducting for energy resources loss reduction and limitation of negative impacts on the environment are substantiated. The principles and order of buildings energy audit performance are presented and method of objective and subjective factors effecting energy efficiency of objects is described. Instruments and methods used for the conduction of energy audit are considered. The method of energy saving parameters evaluation of domestic buildings main types on the basis of EU and US normative document regulations is developed. The recommendations for the presentation of energy audit results are given. The approach to identification and choice of energy conservation measures for the plan formation of energy consumption efficiency upgrading of prototype plants is suggested.Обґрунтовано необхідність проведення енергетичного аудиту для скорочення втрат енергоносіїв та скорочення впливу на довкілля. Представлені принципи та порядок проведення енергетичного аудиту будівель та описана методика оцінки об’єктивних та суб’єктивних чинників, що впливають на енергоефективність об’єктів. Розглянуті інструменти та методи, що застосовуються при проведенні енергетичного аудиту. Розроблено методику оцінки енергозберігаючих параметрів основних типів вітчизняних будівель на основі рекомендацій нормативних документів ЄС та США. Дані рекомендації для представлення результатів енергетичного аудиту. Запропонована схема ідентифікації та вибору енергозберігаючих заходів для формування плану підвищення ефективності енергоспоживання досліджуваних об'єктів

The Analysis of Environmental Awareness among Children of the Secondary School Age

The fundamental elements of environmental education and awareness building at school have been analyzed. The implementation of environmental education in Ukraine was compared against foreign experience and the necessary elements of environmental education improvement have been described. The most efficient methods of the school environmental education improvement have been determined based on the results of the children questioning conducted. The factors having influence on the formation of environmental awareness have been defined and ranged according to their importance.Проаналізовано основні складові екологічної освіти та підвищення екологічної обізнаності у школі. Проведено порівняння реалізації екологічної освіти в Україні з іноземним досвідом та описані необхідні елементи покращення екологічної освіти. Визначено найбільш ефективні методи покращення шкільної екологічної освіти на підставі результатів опитування дітей. Визначені фактори, що впливають на формування екологічної обізнаності, та оцінено їх відносну важливість

Heterogeneity within AML with CEBPA mutations; only CEBPA double mutations, but not single CEBPA mutations are associated with favourable prognosis

CCAAT/enhancer binding protein alpha (CEBPA) mutations in AML are associated with favourable prognosis and are divided into N- and C-terminal mutations. The majority of AML patients have both types of mutations. We assessed the prognostic significance of single (n=7) and double (n=12) CEBPA mutations among 224 AML patients. Double CEBPA mutations conferred a decisively favourable overall (P=0.006) and disease-free survival (P=0.013). However, clinical outcome of patients with single CEBPA mutations was not different from CEBPA wild-type patients. In a multivariable analysis, only double – but not single – CEBPA mutations were identified as independent prognostic factors. These findings indicate heterogeneity within AML patients with CEBPA mutations

Suicidality Assessment of the Elderly With Physical Illness in the Emergency Department.

Taking into account and evaluating the presence of a physical illness plays a crucial role in the clinical encounter with the elderly who may present suicidal ideation (SI) and suicidal behavior (SB) (1, 2). On the one hand, physical illness is associated with greater suicidality risk in the elderly. This association has been inferred from both quantitative and qualitative findings based on population and registry cohorts (3–5), case-control studies (6–13), psychological autopsies (14, 15), coroners’ reports (16, 17), and suicide notes (17, 18) [for reviews, see (19, 20)]. This applies to SI/wishes to die (20–22) and the entire span of SB, including suicide attempts (SAs) and completed suicides [for reviews, see (20, 23, 24)]
