Multi-criteria optimization problems are known to give rise to a set of Pareto optimal solutions where one solution cannot be regarded as being superior to another. It is often stated that the selection of a particular solution from this set should be based on additional criteria. In this paper a methodology has been proposed that allows a robust design to be selected from the Pareto optimal set. This methodology has been used to determine a robust geometry for a welded joint. Mine Rescue Team Unmanned Rescue Craft (MRTURC) Design Development

The project initiated when a meeting was held between our Mine Rescue Team Unmanned Rescue Craft (MRTURC) team and Colorado School of Mine’s Rescue team, in July 2015, stating the requirement for design ideas for an unmanned craft capable of search and rescue reconnaissance into hazardous mines and collapsed buildings. The constraints that were discussed were as follows: Limited Budget, Size Constraint (2ft X 2ft X 2ft) and the availability of only a single radio frequency in those areas, corresponding to 2.4 GHz. The features that were required by the team was: ability to self-stabilize, an infrared sensor for distance measurements, around 45 mins of operation on a single battery charge, ease of control of craft for the operator, ability to operate in severe environment condition of -20oC to 50oC, durability and easy availability of spare child parts if broken during operation. Thus the project started with keeping in mind the above requirement of an unmanned craft for search and rescue of trapped people in collapsed mines and buildings. Dipole and Quadrupole electroexcitations of the isovector T=1 particle-hole states in C-12

Electroexcitations of the dominantly T=1 particle-hole states of C-12 are studied in the framework of the harmonic oscillator shell model. All possible T=1 single-particle-hole states of all allowed angular momenta are considered in a basis including single-particle states up to the 1f-2p shell. The Hamiltonian is diagnoalized in this space in the presence of the modified surface delta interaction. Correlation in the ground state wave functions by mixing more than one configuration is considered and shows a major contribution that leads to enhance the calculations of the form factors. A comparison with the experiment shows that this model is able to fit the location of states and a simple scaling of the results give a good fit to the experimental form factors.Comment: 5 pages, 4 figures, 5 tables, Late

TINJAUAN YURIDIS TERHADAP PENGATURAN NEPOTISME DALAM PERSPEKTIF HUKUM PIDANA

Pengaturan sanksi pidana terhadap pelaku nepotisme telah diatur dalam Pasal 22 Undang-undang Nomor 28 Tahun 1999 tentang Penyelenggara Negara yang Bersih dan Bebas dari Korupsi, Kolusi, dan Nepotisme. Namun sampai saat ini aturan tersebut tidak berjalan secara efektif. Salah satu penyebabnya adalah banyaknya perbedaan penafsiran terhadap pasal tersebut, sehingga pasal pidana nepotisme itu sulit untuk diterapkan. Para penegak hukum juga belum menunjukkan hasil yang maksimal untuk menanggulangi permasalahan nepotisme yang terjadi.Penulisan skripsi ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaturan pidana nepotisme ditinjau dari asas legalitas dan unsur-unsur suatu tindak pidana, dan untuk mengetahui pengaturan terhadap kewenangan penegak hukum dalam menanggulangi tindak pidana nepotisme.Untuk menjawab permasalahan dalam penelitian ini, maka digunakan suatu metode penelitian yuridis normatif yaitu dengan menggunakan bahan-bahan kupustakaan. Teori-teori dari bahan kepustakaan tersebut kemudian diolah, serta ditinjau dan dianalisis pula dari peraturan perundang-undangan yang berlaku.Berdasarkan pembahasan yang telah dilakukan, diketahui bahwa pengaturan tentang sanksi pidana nepotisme masih memiliki banyak kekurangan. Aturan dalam substansi hukum mengenai pelanggaran nepotisme tidak mencerminkan pada asas legalitas, serta aturan nepotisme itu juga tidak memuat beberapa unsur-unsur yang harus ada dalam suatu perbuatan yang dapat dipidana berdasarkan beberapa teori. Berkaitan dengan pengaturan kewenangan terhadap penagak hukum dalam menanggulangi masalah nepotisme masih sangat lemah, dibandingkan dengan penegakan hukum terhadap nepotisme itu sendiri merupakan hal yang sulit. Pengaturan mengenai substansi hukum dan kewenangan penegak hukum yang masih memiliki banyak kekurangan tersebut, kemudian menyebabkan tidak berjalan efektifnya suatu penegakan hukum.Berkaitan dengan permasalahan nepotisme tersebut perlu dilakukan kajian-kajian yang mendalam agar penegakan hukum terhadap nepotisme menjadi efektif, kemudian peraturan perundang-undangan mengenai nepotisme perlu direvisi agar dapat berjalan dengan baik, dan tercapainya tujuan secara maksimal.
