Five-dimensional SYM from undeformed ABJM
We expand undeformed ABJM theory around the vacuum solution that was found in
arxiv:0909.3101. This solution can be interpreted as a circle-bundle over a
two-dimensional plane with a singularity at the origin. By imposing periodic
boundary conditions locally far away from the singularity, we obtain a local
fuzzy two-torus over which we have a circle fibration. By performing
fluctuation analysis we obtain five-dimensional SYM with the precise value on
the coupling constant that we would obtain by compactifying multiple M5 branes
on the vacuum three-manifold. In the resulting SYM theory we also find a
coupling to a background two-form.Comment: 23 page
Organised crime and social media; a system for detecting, corroborating and visualising weak signals of organised crime online
This paper describes an approach for detecting the presence or emergence of
Organised Crime (OC) signals on Social Media. It shows how words and phrases,
used by members of the public in Social Media posts, can be treated as weak
signals of OC, enabling information to be classi�ed according to a taxonomy.
Formal Concept Analysis (FCA) is used to group information sources, according
to Crime-type and Location, thus providing a means of corroboration and
creating OC Concepts that can be used to alert police analysts to the possible
presence of OC. The analyst is able to `drill down' into an OC Concept of
interest, discovering additional information that may be pertinent to the crime.
The paper describes the implementation of this approach into a fully-functional
prototype software system, incorporating a Social Media scanning system and a
map-based user interface. The approach and system are illustrated using Human
Tra�cking and Modern Slavery as an example. Real data is used to obtain results
that show that weak signals of OC have been detected and corroborated, thus
alerting to the possible presence of OC
Ureterolithiasis after Cohen re-implantation – case report
BACKGROUND: In the past decades, the widespread use of cross-trigonal ureteral reimplants for the treatment of children with vesicoureteral reflux has resulted in a large population of patients with transversely lying ureters. As this population gets older they will consequently be entering an age group at higher risk for stone and urothelial cancer formation. If ureteroscopy becomes necessary, the transverse position of the ureter makes ureteric access often impossible. CASE PRESENTATION: We present the case of a young man who not only suffered from urolithiasis due to hyperparathyroidism, but also further jeopardized his treatment by omitting the fact that as a child he underwent Cohen reimplantation of the right ureter. CONCLUSIONS: This case illustrates the particular difficulties the endoscopist may face in this group of patients. Patients with difficult ureteric access, abnormal anatomy, or those with known cross-trigonal ureteric reimplantations should be managed in a specialised endourology unit
Relative blocking in posets
Poset-theoretic generalizations of set-theoretic committee constructions are
presented. The structure of the corresponding subposets is described. Sequences
of irreducible fractions associated to the principal order ideals of finite
bounded posets are considered and those related to the Boolean lattices are
explored; it is shown that such sequences inherit all the familiar properties

Meloneis Gen. Nov., a New Epipsammic Genus of Rhaphoneidaceae (Bacillariophyceae)
The diatom family Rhaphoneidaceae is characterized by high generic diversity and low species diversity with most genera known to have long stratigraphic ranges. The genera within this family are neritic marine, and mostly epipsammic. A new modern and epipsammic genus, Meloneis gen. nov., is described herein and is compared to all genera within Rhaphoneidaceae and especially to Rhaphoneis Ehrenberg s.l. Within Meloneis three new species and one variety are distinguished and described herein: M. mimallis sp. nov., M. mimallis var. zephyria var. nov., M. akytos sp. nov., and M. gorgis sp. nov

of a conjecture by Mukhin and Varchenko concerning the existence of a Selberg

Volcanic Radiative Forcing From 1979 to 2015
Using volcanic sulfur dioxide emissions in an aerosol-climate model we derive a time-series of global-mean volcanic effective radiative forcing (ERF) from 1979 to 2015. For 2005-2015, we calculate a global multi-annual mean volcanic ERF of 0.08 W m 2 relative to the volcanically quiescent 1999-2002 period, due to a high frequency of small-to-moderate-magnitude explosive eruptions after 2004. For eruptions of large magnitude such as 1991 Mt. Pinatubo, our model-simulated volcanic ERF, which accounts for rapid adjustments including aerosol perturbations of clouds, is less negative than that reported in the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Fifth Assessment Report (AR5) that only accounted for stratospheric temperature adjustments. We find that, when rapid adjustments are considered, the relation between volcanic forcing and volcanic stratospheric optical depth (SAOD) is 13-21% weaker than reported in IPCC AR5 for large-magnitude eruptions. Further, our analysis of the recurrence frequency of eruptions reveals that sulfur-rich small-to-moderate-magnitude eruptions with column heights 10 km occur frequently, with periods of volcanic quiescence being statistically rare. Small-to-moderate-magnitude eruptions should therefore be included in climate model simulations, given the 50% chance of one or two eruptions to occur in any given year. Not all of these eruptions affect the stratospheric aerosol budget, but those that do increase the non-volcanic background SAOD by ~0.004 on average, contributing ~50% to the total SAOD in the absence of large-magnitude eruptions. This equates to a volcanic ERF of about 0.10 W m 2, which is about two-thirds of the ERF from ozone changes induced by ozone-depleting substances

Healthcare professionals (HCPs) have a key role in supporting and encouraging children and adolescents with T1DM to be physically active. This study aims to understand the perspectives of HCPs in relation to supporting physical activity and implementing guidelines relating to physical activity. METHODS: An online mixed methods survey was circulated to HCPs in pediatric diabetes units in England and Wales. Participants were asked about how they support physical activity in their clinic and their perceptions of barriers/enablers of providing physical activity support to children and adolescents with T1DM. Quantitative data were analysed descriptively. An deductive thematic approach was applied to the free text responses using the Capability Opportunity Motivation model of Behaviour (COM-B) as a framework. RESULTS: Responses were received from 114 individuals at 77 different pediatric diabetes units (45% of pediatric diabetes units in England and Wales). HCPs surveyed felt that the promotion of physical activity is important (90%) and advised patients to increase levels of physical activity (88%). 19% of the respondents felt they did not have sufficient knowledge to provide support. HCPs reported limited knowledge and confidence, time and resources as barriers to providing support. They also felt the current guidance was too complicated with few practical solutions. CONCLUSION: Pediatric HCPs need training and support to be able to encourage and support children and adolescents with T1D to be a physical activity.
