Many research works have been published on behaviour of retrofitted RCC beams with opening of different size and shapes especially under shear and flexure. Very few works are published to study the effect of beams with opening in torsion. The aim of the present work is to experimentally investigate the behaviour of rectangular RCC beams with rectangular small and large openings. The beams are retrofitted with GFRP fabrics of different orientations and width. GFRP strips of widths 10cm and 20cm fiber orientations (90/90/90/90/90) and (45/90/45/90/45) are used for retrofitting. Our project aims at designing the Digitized Engineering Notebook which is a web application that simulates and transforms the characteristics of a current notebook used for recording details of robotics competition projects into a digital version of such notebook. Digitized Engineering Notebook allows users to store records of text, data and images to a database, and at the same time provides functionaries for easy access. It allows its users to add in the database at ease and maintain the log details of respective project information. It also allows users to create and edit files online while collaborating with other team members in real-time. Creation of dated log entries for ideas, details, practices, trails and errors and allows to file upload for text documents, drawings, sketches, figures, etc. It provides discussion board to discuss project information with their team members. It handles adding new members and managing members, adding new projects and managing project details. The admin can add a captain who can further add new member/team/projects and easily manage member/team/projects. The captain can activate or deactivate members of projects and can manage project details like images, drawings, sketches. User can upload files and images. It allows creating the calendar events and create PDF files from logs. User can share ideas, knowledge with their team members online

GSU Event Portal

This is GSU Event portal platform used for event registrations and also gives access to organizers to create, promote and manage events. Here we have three roles organizer, admin and visitor. This platform will be mobile friendly, easy-to-navigate and communicate which enable organizers to manage events, and help visitors discover events and register. This application allows visitor to search the events by name, date. The application highlights are every role has their access restrictions. Organizer will describe the details about the events in the website. Organizer can give discount to all visitors or for few, by providing the coupon code. The admin can access any data. This GSU Event Portal will solve a major problem with the current student portal - GSU student boredom. The GSU Event Portal will be an excellent addition to the existing GSU Student Portal, and will be used by all GSU students. The GSU Events feature will be ready for release December 4th, 2017

Personalized videos are known to achieve better customer engagement than traditional channels of communication from businesses. The conventional approach to producing and delivering the personalized videos often involves high costs, both on infrastructure and operations. As the video content length, degree of personalization or the number of target audience increases, it could lead to a massive increase in storage costs as well as the complexity of managing assets. Personalization with a fixed video asset per customer in the conventional methodologies also limits the level of interactivity that can be achieved within the videos. Anti diabetic effect of ethanolic extract of leaves of Ocimum sanctum in alloxan induced diabetes in rats

Background: Diabetes mellitus refers to a group of common metabolic disorders that share the phenotype of hyperglycemia resulting from defects of reduced insulin secretion, decreased glucose utilization and increase in glucose production. It is estimated that there are currently 285 million people worldwide and this number is set to increase to 438 million by the year 2030. India has the highest number of patients with known diabetes worldwide, with a prevalence of 11.6%. The aim of the study was to evaluate the anti diabetic activity of ethanolic extract of leaves of plant Ocimum sanctum in alloxan induced diabetes in rats.Methods: The study was conducted on 4 groups of 6 rats each to evaluate the hypoglycaemic effect of ethanolic extract of Ocimum sanctum. Glibenclamide was used as a standard drug and the results were compared in reference to it. Tween 80 was given for both normal and diabetic control groups. The fasting blood sugar levels were recorded on 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th, 10th days by glucometer.Results: The results indicate that the test compound ethanolic extract of Ocimum sanctum has significant and sustained oral hypoglycaemic activity, comparable with the hypoglycaemic effect of glibenclamide, a sulfonylurea.Conclusion: The hypoglycaemic potential of the test compound is found to be comparable with that of the standard drug glibenclamide
