Novels are one of the mainstays of contemporary media documenting the biographies of soil-based peoples. Contemporary writers have documented people's lives, customs, rituals, values, in their novels with a contemporary character. The industrial revolution, the Green Revolution, the White Revolution, the deforestation for development projects, the occupation of agricultural lands, the loss of livelihoods to the people living in their respective areas as refugees, the loss of their own land due to land occupation. Their work records the changes in society during the respective eras, such as the transformation of wages into agricultural wages and the loss of livelihood and suicide. Sundara Ramasamy's Oru Puliyamarathin Kathai, Vairamuthu's Kallaikattu epic, work in novels that record the history of the community or a component of a race. S. Tamilchelvi has recorded the lives of the common people who migrate for their livelihood as sheep migrated for their livelihood as evidenced by Kovalan's complaint to chase the prey for livelihood through the sociological approach in the novel. The writers have written extensively on the unique cultural life style of the Mullai people, the people of Mullai land, from the Tolkappiyam to the novel literature up to today. History and Social Status of Construction Workers in the Novel "Kalmaram"
From Sangam literature to contemporary literature, literature has recorded in many ways that a section of working people live in poverty and the people who enjoy the fruits of labour live in prosperity from time to time. Sangam literature has recorded the lives of many of the base people, such as Panars (poets), Koothars (actors), Viraliyars (female actors), who get food and gold from their patrons, and Kallars (thieves), who dare to kill passers-by for food. In ancient times, Proverbs said, "Call that a gift to needy men" and "The giver of food is the giver of life." From the period of devotional literature, in which paddy seeds were ground into rice and cooked food, to the period of small literature genres explaining the farmer's condition, to the present day literature, literature has recorded the inequalities of human society. The history of the foundational people is also recorded in the novel, a literary form of the twentieth century. Nanostructured mesoporous carbon as electrodes for supercapacitors
Symmetrical carbon/carbon double layer capacitors (EDLCs) were fabricated employing nanostructured mesoporous nongraphitized carbon black (NMCB) powders and their EDLC behavior was studied using electrochemical techniques viz., cyclic voltammetry, a.c.-impedance, and constant current cycling. Rectangular shape cyclic characteristics were observed indicating the double layer behavior of the NMCB carbon electrodes. The mechanism of double layer formation and frequency dependent capacitance were deduced from the ac-impedance analysis. Specific capacitance, power density and energy density were derived from constant current charge/discharge measurements. NMCB powders demonstrated a specific capacitance of about ∼39 F g−1 and the power density of 782 W kg−1 at a current density of 32 mA cm−2. Nevertheless, at a low current density (3 mA cm−2), the specific capacitance of ∼44 F g−1 was achieved, which corroborates with the values obtained by means of ac-impedance (40 F g−1) and cyclic voltammetry (41.5 F g−1). The test cells demonstrated the stable cycle performance over several hundreds of cycles
Effect of pretreatment on Cd2+ biosorption by mycelial biomass of Pleurotus florida
The effect of pretreatment on the Cd2+ biosorption capacity of mycelial biomass of Pleurotus florida was investigated. For this purpose, the biomass was subjected to physical treatments such as heat, autoclaving and freeze drying and chemical treatments using acids, alkali and organic solvents. All the pretreatment methods improved the biosorption of Cd2+ in comparison with live biomass of P. florida. Among physical treatments, freeze drying showed significant improvement in Cd2+ sorption capacity.Pretreatment of biomass with NaOH showed maximum cadmium biosorption followed by formaldehyde and methanol treatment

The study of Scientific Validation of Siddha Herbo- Metallic Formulation Kandha Rasa Villai to Evaluate the Efficacy of it’s Anti- Cancer, Anti- Tumour and Anti- Oxidant Activities,forKandha Rasa Villaiwhich is the best medicine for cervical cancer. So that,I choose this trial drug is going to be tested by HeLa cell lines for cervical cancer. In this medicine metals and herbs are used whichhave the anti- cancerous and anti-tumour activity,The drug was subjected to analysis such as physicochemical, biochemical and instrumental analysis which provided the ingredients present in the drug thus it accounts the efficacy of the drug.The sample was also analyzed for antimicrobial activity to ensure its accuracy.For the study protocol, required animals were approved by the IAEC under CPCSEA.Toxicological study was made recording to OECD guidelines comprising both acute and repeated oral dose 28days toxicity studies in Wistar albino rats. It showed the safety of the drug which attributes its utility in long time administration. Pharmacological studies were completed. Lateral location of placenta on ultrasound as a predictive test for preeclampsia
Background: Hypertensive disorders represent the most common medical complication of pregnancy Pre-eclampsia complicates approximately 2-7% of pregnancies and is a major cause of maternal and perinatal morbidity This has led to the interest in screening. The placenta is located laterally in majority of patients with abnormal flow velocity waveforms. In the light of these observations, we designed a prospective study to find out whether the lateral location of placenta as seen by ultrasound at II and III trimester of gestation can be used to predict the development of preeclampsia.Methods: A prospective observational study was done in PESIMSR, Kuppam, Andhra Pradesh. The aim of the study was to find out whether placental laterality as determined by ultrasound can be used as a predictor of development of gestational hypertension, development of preeclampsia/eclampsia During the study period of November 2013 to November 2014, all antenatal women attending the OPD in II and III trimester without any medical disorders likeDM, HTN, renal disease, cardiac disease or smoking, who undergo ultrasound in II and III trimester were included. The location of the placenta was determined by real time ultrasound in II and III trimester. The placenta will be classified as central when it is equally distributed between the right and the left side of the uterus irrespective of anterior, posterior or fundal position. When 75% or more of the placental mass is to one side of the midline, it is classified as unilateral right or left placenta. subjects were followed upto delivery for development of gestational hypertension/ preeclampsia/eclampsia as per the ACOG criteria.Results: 66% patients in the lateral placenta group developed preeclampsia. Only 36%in the central group developed preeclampsia. The association of lateral placenta as a predictor of preeclampsia had a P value of <0.001 which is statistically significant. Incidence of preclampsia is more in primigravidas compared to multigravidas. Most of the pre eclamptics had their onset at 29 – 32 weeks of gestation.Conclusions: The study shows that placental position determined by ultrasonogram in II and III trimester of gestation is an excellent screening tool for the prediction of pre-eclampsia. The test is ideal because it is simple, non-invasive, cost effective and convenient to the women
Determination of gestational age: correlation between foetal biometry and transverse cerebellar diameter in women with uncomplicated pregnancy
Background: Transverse Cerebellar Diameter (TCD) serves as a reliable predictor of gestational age in foetus and is a standard against which aberrations in other foetal parameters can be compared, especially when the GA cannot be determined by the date of last menstrual period or early pregnancy scan, TCD is one foetal parameter that has remained consistently superior in predicting gestational age in both singleton and twin gestation. Aim of the study was to assess and evaluate the effectiveness of transverse cerebellar diameter by using ultrasonography for determining the gestational age of the foetus.Methods: A cross-sectional study was done in 100 uncomplicated pregnant patients between the 15th week of gestation to term referred from routine antenatal clinic in outpatient and in-patient department of Obstetrics and Gynecology department of Vinayaka Mission Krupananda Variyar medical college and hospital, Salem during study period April 2015-March 2016. TCD is obtained in the axial plane in the cerebellar view i.e. with a slight rotation of the transducer approximately 30° from the conventional thalamic plane where the biparietal diameter is measured using the cavum septi pellucidi, third ventricle and thalami as landmarks.Results: The correlation of transcerebellar diameter (TCD) with that of BPD (bi-parietal diameter) had shown a perfect positive correlation (r = 0.978) and a similar type of correlation was also seen with HC (head circumference) (r = 0.979), AC (abdominal circumference) (r = 0.966), FL (femur length) (r = 0.976) and USG GA (ultrasonogram gestational age) (r = 0.983).Conclusions: In the normally developing foetus, the TCD increases in a linear fashion with advancing gestational age. The data of this study suggest foetal TCD on ultrasound is a reliable predictive biometric parameter of gestational age
Frequency splitting elimination and cross-coupling rejection of wireless power transfer to multiple dynamic receivers
Simultaneous power transfer to multiple receiver (Rx) system is one of the key advantages of wireless power transfer (WPT) system using magnetic resonance. However, determining the optimal condition to uniformly transfer the power to a selected Rx at high efficiency is the challenging task under the dynamic environment. The cross-coupling and frequency splitting are the dominant issues present in the multiple Rx dynamic WPT system. The existing analysis is performed by considering any one issue present in the system; on the other hand, the cross coupling and frequency splitting issues are interrelated in dynamic Rx’s, which requires a comprehensive design strategy by considering both the problems. This paper proposes an optimal design of multiple Rx WPT system, which can eliminate cross coupling, frequency splitting issues and increase the power transfer efficiency (PTE) of selected Rx. The cross-coupling rejection, uniform power transfer is performed by adding an additional relay coil and independent resonance frequency tuning with capacitive compensation to each Rx unit. The frequency splitting phenomena are eliminated using non-identical transmitter (Tx) and Rx coil structure which can maintain the coupling between the coil under the critical coupling limit. The mathematical analysis of the compensation capacitance calculation and optimal Tx coil size identification is performed for the four Rx WPT system. Finite element analysis and experimental investigation are carried out for the proposed design in static and dynamic conditions
