A new computing model called P system is a highly distributed and parallel theoretical model, which is proposed in the area of membrane computing. Ceterchi et al. initially proposed array rewriting P systems by extending the notion of string rewriting P systems to arrays (2003). A theoretical model for picture generation using context-free iso-array grammar rules and puzzle iso-array grammar rules are introduced by Kalyani et al. (2004, 2006). Also iso-array rewriting P systems for iso-picture languages have been studied by Annadurai et al. (2008). In this paper we consider the context-free iso-array rules and context-free puzzle iso-array rules in iso-array rewriting P systems and examine the generative powers of these P systems

Background: Counselling and rapid referral to a specialised facility might be improved with the use of a scoring system that could diagnose ovarian cancer. The relative simplicity of the Risk of Malignancy Index (RMI) scoring technique and the ease with which it may be applied make it a strong candidate to use as a primary diagnostic tool for individuals with pelvic masses. Methods: Prospective observations study conducted on women diagnosed with ovarian mass by clinical examination and confirmed by ultrasonography, undergoing surgery at RL Jalappa Hospital, Kolar from January 2021 to December 2022. Histopathological report was considered as Primary outcome parameter. Age group, Parity, Menstrual history, Risk Malignancy Index, etc., were considered as explanatory parameters. Results: A total of 40 subjects are included among which 22.50% are aged ≤40 years and 77.50% are aged >40 years. Using a cut off of 25, majority (88.2%) of those with malignancy had RMI≥25 and in benign histopathology report 56.5% had ≥25 RMI. Histopathology report, there was a statistically significant (p<0.05) difference in RMI values. The RMI had a sensitivity of 88.24% in predicting malignancy with specificity 43.48%, positive predictive value 53.57%, negative predictive value 83.33% with a total diagnostic accuracy of 62.50%. Conclusions: Results from RMI and histopathology correlate positively. The results of this research show that RMI is a reliable and practicable method for assessing patients with pelvic masses at the commencement of therapy and identifying those who are good candidates for centralised surgical treatment

A Comparative Study of Text Summarization Based on Synchronous and Asynchronous PSO

Text summarization is the process of extracting the most important sentences from the original document without its meaning change. The paper focus on Extractive summarization technique which chooses the important sentences from the document and integrates into summary. An extractive summarization technique, Particle swarm Optimization performs arithmetic operations that enhances a problem, by iteratively trying to improve possible solution with regard to input data. It determines a problem by having a population of possible solutions moving around the search space according to arithmetic formulae over the particles position and velocity. The sequence of modernized particles of PSO can be categorized into Synchronous PSO (S-PSO) and Asynchronous PSO(A-PSO). In synchronous PSO, after calculating the whole performance, velocities and positions of the particles are modernized, this increases the performance. In A-PSO after calculating its performance, velocities and positions of the particles are modernized using partial data which leads to extreme analysis. The comparative study on the synchronous PSO and asynchronous PSO with the precision and recall values for different datasets is considered. Asynchronous PSO has higher precision and recall values compared to synchronous PSO. Asynchronous PSO leads to extreme analysis of data

BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES : Pulmonary manifestations remains one of the most common cause of morbidity and mortality in patients with Ankylosing spondylitis. Early detection and treatment of pulmonary abnormalities can reduce the morbidity and improve the quality of life. The aim and objective is to find the prevalence of pulmonary manifestations in patients with ankylosing spondylitis and to find their association with age, sex, duration of the disease. MATERIALS AND METHODS : The study is undertaken on the patients approaching the outpatient department as well as the Inpatients of the Coimbatore Medical College Hospital, Coimbatore during the period of study (i.e. July 2015 to July 2016). A total of fifty (50) subjects who had approached the Rheumatology Department in the Hospital and having satisfied the ASAS criteria were selected for the study. These patients were compared with another fifty (50) age and sex matched control group, who had come to the OP department for non-specific complaints. The control group was selected on a random basis. This is a type of cross sectional study. The consented patients were enrolled in the study. Detailed history, examination and relevant investigations were done according to the predesigned proforma. Pulmonary abnormalities were found with pulmonary function test and HRCT chest.. RESULTS : In the present study, Cases had significant association with the pulmonary manifestation compared with the controls. 10(20%) out of 50 cases and 1(2%) out of 50 controls had pulmonary manifestations. Among the 10 cases, HRCT chest showed interstitial lung disease in 4 cases and pulmonary function test showed restrictive pattern in 10 cases. CONCLUSION : The prevalence of pulmonary manifestations in Ankylosing spondylitis was found to be 20%. Increased age and longer duration of the disease was associated with increased prevalence of the pulmonary manifestations

An Efficient Medical Text Mining in Diseases Diagnoses And its equivalent Data privacy Preservation Policy for Medical Data: A Review

    Get PDF
Healthcare systems use a medical text mining which have been increasingly facilitating health condition monitoring and disease modeling. System works on the Personal Health Information (PHI) of the user. Healthcare system grant users access to range of health information and medical knowledge. Benefit of the system is all the information about disease, precautions and healthcare are store at one place. Unfortunately, delegating both storage and computation to the untreated entity would bring a series of security and privacy issues. One of the controversial issues for PHI is how the technology could threaten the privacy of patient health information. The proposed system focused on fine-grained privacy-preserving static medical text access and analysis, which can hardly afford the dynamic health condition fluctuation

Mankind's history is watching a bizarre time battling an imperceptible adversary, the novel COVID-19 Coronavirus. At first seen in the Wuhan province of China, presently limitlessly spreading all over world. How the COVID 19 has been made on the globe become Pandemic needs no depiction. The virus has been accounted for affecting the lungs and related respiratory tracts promoting harm of the alveoli. It has been accounted that the respiratory sickness is the prevailing Clinical symptom of COVID-19. This review article discusses an easily understanding of the causes, different type of Human viruses regarded of Coronavirus, clinical diagnosis of RT-PCR, FET, Primary prevention and control of the virus. Therefore, this review article main theme is to provide more reliable and valid information to control and manage public emergency in both acute and chronic conditions of coronaviru

Gynaecological Cancers in India: The Less Heard Perspectives of Healthcare Providers

    Get PDF
There has been mounting evidence on the role of healthcare providers in chronic illnesses such as cancer. The specific complexities in their roles to enable health are less heard. Gynaecological cancers have several undercurrents beyond the obvious. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with healthcare providers in Southern India (n = 35) and the data presented in this article were collected as a part of a larger study on the role of communication in the management of gynaecological cancers in India. Thematic analysis of the qualitative data provided information on the providers’ perspectives of gynaecological cancers. Patient numbers, cost, time, cultural norms, context, and institutional constraints in cancer care provision are just some of the factors impacting care provision. Healthcare providers are typically acknowledged for the criticality of their roles in the continuum of care. However, our research suggests that the psychological harm and challenges they themselves may face in providing that care are severely neglected. Through listening to healthcare provider voices, clear solutions emerge to better support the practice of those who are responsible for cancer care

Cloud computing is typically defined as a type of evaluation that relies on sharing computing resources to handle applications. There is a requirement to redesign the medical system to meet their better needs among the growing technologies .With the initiation of cloud computing the doctors can keep their information about the latest diseases, emergency cases and complex problems. However the privacy and security of data is extremely exigent. To guarantee privacy and security of data in cloud computing, we have proposed an effective approach for data security by the process of encrypting and decrypting the data through the concept of cryptography. In this paper the proposal is to prevent data access from cloud data storage centers by unauthorized access using AES-512 bit algorithm with key size and input block size of 512-bits that makes it more defiant to cryptanalysis.
