Museum object handling groups in older adult mental health inpatient care
Emerging evidence indicates that museum object handling sessions offer short-term benefits to healthcare participants. This study aimed to further understand psychological and social aspects of object handling in mental health inpatients. Older adults (N ÂŒ 42) from a psychiatric inpatient ward with diagnoses of depression or anxiety took part in a series of object handling group sessions with 5â12 participants per group. Session audio recordings were subjected to thematic analysis. Five main themes were identified: âresponding to object focused questionsâ, âlearning about objects and from each otherâ, âenjoyment, enrichment through touch and privilegeâ, âmemories, personal associations and identityâ and âimagination and storytellingâ. The first four were congruent with literature associated with positive wellbeing and engagement outcomes but the fifth was a new finding for group contexts. Limitations include the relatively small sample and variable week-to-week group attendance. Audio recordings did not provide information on non-verbal communication and how objects were handled. Future studies should control for attendance and examine effects of multiple sessions over time, ideally with video recording. This study offers preliminary support for museum object handling as a group intervention in mental health care with potential to develop therapeutic aspects of the sessions. Findings indicate that object handling is a novel yet effective intervention with potential for conferring additional advantages by conducting sessions in group settings
A REVIEW ON CLINICAL EXAMINATION OF AGNIBALA (DIGESTIVE POWER)
Ayurveda, the science of life mainly deals with the preventive aspect of diseases along with curative aspect and this is the aim of Ayurveda. For that prevention purpose life style modification is very much essential now a day. Some factors are responsible for the formation of a disease among of them Agni is one of the most important factor. Agni plays an important role to sustain the life process. All the diseases are caused due to impaired function of Agni. According to modern science, Gastric juice and enzymes functioning at gastro intestinal level, all are responsible for digestion, absorption and metabolism. Altered function of the enzymes secreted from gastro intestinal tract is responsible for production of gastro intestinal diseases. Function of Agni is likely to be compared with gastric juice and different enzymes at gastro intestinal level. In the present era, the diseases related to Annavaha srota and Purishvaha srota (Gastro intestinal system) are commonly found in clinical practice. In the pathogenesis of disease, Dosha, Dusya, Srota, Agni and Ama (Prime causative factors of diseases) are required to be analyzed for fruitful treatment. Giant cell tumour of the flexor tendon sheath of the hand
Background: Giant cell tumor of tendon sheath is a benign soft tissue lesion most commonly found in the flexor aspect of hand and wrist. Recurrence of the tumor is common even after excision.Methods: It is an observational study where we present a review of 10 cases for which excision was done and were kept for regular follow up for minimum 6 months.Results: No recurrences noted in our series with minimum six months to maximum two years follow-up though review literature shows 10-40% recurrence rates.Conclusions: Complete excision with regular follow up care is indicated for this neoplasm due to its high propensity towards recurrence. The most important factor deciding recurrence pattern is incomplete excision and leaving behind satellite nodules.
Evolution of helicity in NOAA 10923 over three consecutive solar rotations
We have studied the evolution of magnetic helicity and chirality in an active
region over three consecutive solar rotations. The region when it first
appeared was named NOAA10923 and in subsequent rotations it was numbered NOAA
10930, 10935 and 10941. We compare the chirality of these regions at
photospheric, chromospheric and coronal heights. The observations used for
photospheric and chromospheric heights are taken from Solar Vector Magnetograph
(SVM) and H_alpha imaging telescope of Udaipur Solar Observatory (USO),
respectively. We discuss the chirality of the sunspots and associated H_alpha
filaments in these regions. We find that the twistedness of superpenumbral
filaments is maintained in the photospheric transverse field vectors also. We
also compare the chirality at photospheric and chromospheric heights with the
chirality of the associated coronal loops, as observed from the HINODE X-Ray

Drawdown prepreg coating method using epoxy terminated butadiene nitrile rubber to improve fracture toughness of glass epoxy composites
Laminates of fibre-reinforced prepreg have excellent in-plane mechanical properties, but have inadequate performance in the through thickness direction. Here, we address this issue by application of epoxy-terminated butadiene nitrile (ETBN) liquid rubber between the prepreg laminae using an automatic draw bar coating technique. Test results reveal that by adding ETBN in small quantities in the range of 9.33â61.33âg/m2, the interlaminar critical energy release rates (GIc and GIIc) are improved by up to 122% in mode-I and 49% in mode-II. Moreover, this finding is further supported by the dynamic mechanical analysis thermograms that clearly indicate that coating has not altered the Tg of ETBN-coated samples. Scanning electron microscopic analysis of fracture surfaces showed that rubber particles formed micro cavitations in the epoxy, causing localised rubber rich regions. These resin-rich regions require more energy to fracture, resulting in increased toughness of the glass epoxy prepreg systems. </jats:p
Accelerating Universe from an Evolving Lambda in Higher Dimension
We find exact solutions in five dimensional inhomogeneous matter dominated
model with a varying cosmological constant. Adjusting arbitrary constants of
integration one can also achieve acceleration in our model. Aside from an
initial singularity our spacetime is regular everywhere including the centre of
the inhomogeneous distribution. We also study the analogous homogeneous
universe in (4+d) dimensions. Here an initially decelerating model is found to
give late acceleration in conformity with the current observational demands. We
also find that both anisotropy and number of dimensions have a role to play in
determining the time of flip, in fact the flip is delayed in multidimensional
models. Some astrophysical parameters like the age, luminosity distance etc are
also calculated and the influence of extra dimensions is briefly discussed.
Interestingly our model yields a larger age of the universe compared to many

Coulomb and nuclear breakup effects in the single neutron removal reaction 197Au(17C,16C gamma)X
We analyze the recently obtained new data on the partial cross sections and
parallel momentum distributions for transitions to ground as well as excited
states of the 16C core, in the one-neutron removal reaction 197Au(17C,16C
gamma)X at the beam energy of 61 MeV/nucleon. The Coulomb and nuclear breakup
components of the one-neutron removal cross sections have been calculated
within a finite range distorted wave Born approximation theory and an eikonal
model, respectively. The nuclear contributions dominate the partial cross
sections for the core excited states. By adding the nuclear and Coulomb cross
sections together, a reasonable agreement is obtained with the data for these
states. The shapes of the experimental parallel momentum distributions of the

Core excitation in Coulomb breakup reactions
Within the pure Coulomb breakup mechanism, we investigate the one-neutron
removal reaction of the type A(a,b)X with Be and C
projectiles on a heavy target nucleus Pb at the beam energy of 60
MeV/nucleon. Our intention is to examine the prospective of using these
reactions to study the structure of neutron rich nuclei. Integrated partial
cross sections and momentum distributions for the ground as well as excited
bound states of core nuclei are calculated within the finite range distorted
wave Born approximation as well as within the adiabatic model of the Coulomb
breakup. Our results are compared with those obtained in the studies of the
reactions on a light target where the breakup proceeds via the pure nuclear
mechanism. We find that the transitions to excited states of the core are quite
weak in the Coulomb dominated process as compared to the pure nuclear breakup.Comment: Revtex format, five postscript figures included, to appear in Phys.

Kaluza-Klein Type Robertson Walker Cosmological Model With Dynamical Cosmological Term
In this paper we have analyzed the Kaluza-Klein type Robertson Walker (RW)
cosmological models by considering three different forms of variable :
, and
. It is found that, the connecting free parameters of the
models with cosmic matter and vacuum energy density parameters are equivalent,
in the context of higher dimensional space time. The expression for the look
back time, luminosity distance and angular diameter distance are also derived.
This work has thus generalized to higher dimensions the well-known results in
four dimensional space time. It is found that there may be significant
difference in principle at least, from the analogous situation in four
