У статті обґрунтовано вибір інструментарію факторного аналізу для оцінки впливу мотивуючих чинників на результативні показники діяльності машинобудівних підприємств. Розраховані коефіцієнти кореляції для досліджуваних підприємств. Встановлена ступінь зв’язку факторів з результативним показником.В статье обоснован выбор инструментария факторного анализа для оценки влияния мотивирующих факторов на результативные показатели деятельности машиностроительных предприятий. Significance of Nano- and Microtopography for Cell-Surface Interactions in Orthopaedic Implants

Cell-surface interactions play a crucial role for biomaterial application in orthopaedics. It is evident that not only the chemical composition of solid substances influence cellular adherence, migration, proliferation and differentiation but also the surface topography of a biomaterial. The progressive application of nanostructured surfaces in medicine has gained increasing interest to improve the cytocompatibility and osteointegration of orthopaedic implants. Therefore, the understanding of cell-surface interactions is of major interest for these substances. In this review, we elucidate the principle mechanisms of nano- and microscale cell-surface interactions in vitro for different cell types onto typical orthopaedic biomaterials such as titanium (Ti), cobalt-chrome-molybdenum (CoCrMo) alloys, stainless steel (SS), as well as synthetic polymers (UHMWPE, XLPE, PEEK, PLLA). Import of community-associated, methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus to Europe through skin and soft-tissue infection in intercontinental travellers, 2011-2016

Objectives: Recently, following import by travel and migration, epidemic community-associated methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (CA-MRSA) has caused nosocomial outbreaks in Europe, sometimes with a fatal outcome. We describe clinico-epidemiological characteristics of CA-MRSA detected by the European Network for the Surveillance of imported S. aureus (www.staphtrav.eu) from May 2011 to November 2016. Methods: Sentinel surveillance at 13 travel clinics enrolling patients with travel-associated skin and soft-tissue infection (SSTI) and analysing lesion and nose swabs at one central laboratory. Results: A total of 564 independent case-patients with SSTI were enrolled and had 374 (67%) S. aureus-positive lesions, of which 14% (51/374) were MRSA. The majority of CA-MRSA isolates from SSTI were Panton-Valentine leucocidin (PVL)-positive (43/51, 84%). Spatial evolution of an ion beam created by a geometrically expanding low-pressure argon plasma

The spatial distribution of an ion beam—created at the interface of a small diameter plasma source and much larger diameter diffusion chamber—is studied in a low-pressure inductively coupled plasma using a retarding field energy analyzer. It is found that the ion beam density decays axially and radially in the diffusion chamber following the expansion of the plasma from the source region. The radial distribution of the ion beam indicates that the acceleration region has a convex shape and is located just outside the source exit, giving rise to a hemispherical plasma expansion into the diffusion chamber

Ion beam formation in a low-pressure geometrically expanding argon plasma

Supersonic ion beam formation has been observed in a geometrically expanding low-pressure inductively coupled argon plasma. It is found that the ion beam is only observed below 3mTorr and only when the discharge is operated in inductive mode. The geometrical expansion of the plasma induces density and potential gradients leading to the ion beam formation. The ion beam energy increases with decreasing source tube radius. The results show that ion beam formation can be achieved by geometrical expansion alone and that the ion beam energy depends on the ratio of the cross-sectional area of the source and expansion region
