SECURITY IMPROVEMENT AND TRUST ENHANCEMENT IN CLOUD-BASED SERVICES

    Get PDF
Management of trust is one of the most challenging parts in cloud computing. Cloud service's features such as distributed, dynamic and nontransparentintroduces several challenges for availability, privacy, and security. A method is proposed to have trust as a service between cloud serviceprovider and customer by creating a cloud armor. This proposed methodology is used to make cloud server end and customer end system secure ofany intrusion to their privacy. In this methodology, we will have a user usage pattern log as ever user has its own unique way of using his/her system;hence, in case if any odd user pattern is being encountered it will automatically block the system and simultaneously shoots a message as well as a callto the user notifying him/her about this unauthorized access. This log is set a various small pattern log, for example, keylog, preferable website visited, and time of accessing the system. Further, we have secured these logs using Rivest-Shamir-Adleman algorithm with very large key size

Service quality attributes affecting passengers’ satisfaction with HIGER city bus

Service quality and customer satisfaction are the growing concerns for business organizations throughout the world, and customer satisfaction studies have been proven to be essential tools in trying to optimize services provided to users. For transit agencies, as in other service industries, increase in customer satisfaction translates into retained markets, increased use of the system, newly attracted customers, and a more positive public image. To accomplish these ends, public transport needs reliable and efficient methods of identifying the determinants of service quality from the customers’ perspective. The study is an attempt to identify the factors determining quality in city bus transit, by using a modified SERVPERF approach, and examines passengers’ overall satisfaction with HIGER city bus services. Therefore, a model depicting overall service quality was developed and tested empirically among the bus passengers. Factor and reliability (Cronbach Alpha coefficients) analyses were carried out to determine the validity and unidimensionality of the construct. Furthermore, associations between the passengers’ satisfaction and service quality attributes were explored, and found to be statistically significant. While the dimension of ‘reliability and complaint handling’ emerged as the largest contributor in estimating overall service quality, overall satisfaction was contributed significantly by overall service quality. Keywords: Service Quality, SERVPERF, Customer Satisfaction, HIGER Bus Service, Ethiopia

Changes in protein profile and RNA content of Apis mellifera worker pupa on parasitization with Tropilaelaps clareae

    Get PDF
Tropilaelaps infestation of Apis mellifera pupa caused reduction in total protein concentration of the infested pupa. This may be due to protein feeding by mite. The additional protein fractions observed by SDS-PAGE and the difference in the nature of free amino acids suggested synthesis of newer proteins perhaps related to the stress response of the host. This opinion is strengthened by the increase in concentration of RNA ( 184.580±36.987 in non-infested pupa and 293.402±50.329 in infested pups) observed in the present study which was responsible for increased transcription of genes encoding antiparasite peptides as reported by other workers

Intercoronary Continuity: A Rare Variant of Coronary Circulation

    Get PDF
Coronary circulation if significantly diseased usually develop collaterals between the distal portion of the diseased vessel and the normal artery to accomplish flow in vessel distal to the diseased segment. These collaterals can be intracoronary or intercoronary. Coronary collaterals have to be differentiated from intercoronary continuity, which is a very rare variant of coronary circulation usually seen in angiographically normal looking arteries. In our patient, although proximal left anterior descending artery revealed significant lesion but intercoronary continuity was seen between normal right coronary artery and left circumflex artery on angiography

PHYTOCHEMICAL SCREENING AND ANTI-TRICHOSPORON ACTIVITY OF PLUMBAGO ZEYLANICA LINN

Objective: To evaluate the anti-Trichosporon activity of a medicinal plant, Plumbago zeylanica Linn and to find out the phytochemicals responsible for this activity with the use of four solvent extracts; methanol, ethanol, acetone and chloroform. Methods: To evaluate the antifungal activity, two methods were used. Agar well diffusion assay to determine the diameter of zone of inhibition (in mm) and MIC (in mg/ml) was determined through Tube dilution broth assay. Phytochemical screening for preliminary analysis of secondary metabolites was done through chemical methods. Results: Trichosporon asahii was found to be most sensitive to methanol extract of P. zeylanica with inhibition zone of 35 mm and T. inkin with 30 mm zone of inhibition. MIC results also showed that the methanol extract was most effective in lowest concentration against T. asahii with MIC at 6.2 mg/ml and inhibited T. inkin at 25 mg/ml. Phytochemical screening of plant extracts revealed the presence of certain phyto-constituents like alkaloids, steroids, flavonoids, phenols, glycosides, tannins etc. Conclusion: The present study proved the sensitivity of the yeast Trichosporon spp. to different extracts of P. zeylanica. T. asahii was found to be more sensitive towards the extracts. Methanol extract proved to be most effective compared to ethanol, acetone and chloroform as it gave the maximum zones and lowest MIC result. Phytochemical analysis proved the presence of certain phytochemicals which was responsible for their antifungal activity

Systematics of Anti magnetic rotation in even-even Cd isotopes

The lifetimes for the high spin levels of the yrast band of 110^{110}Cd has been measured. The estimated B(E2) values decrease with increase in angular momentum. This is the characteristic of Anti magnetic rotation as reported in 106,108^{106,108}Cd. However, alignment behavior of 110^{110}Cd is completely different from its even-even neighbors. A model based on classical particle plus rotor has been used to explore the underlying systematics and develop a self consistent picture for the observed behavior of these isotopes.Comment: 18 pages including 6 figures. The Criminalization of Immigration: Value Conflicts for the Social Work Profession

    Get PDF
This article examines the impact of the criminalization of immigration on non-documented immigrants and the profession of social work. To meet its aims, the article explores the new realities for undocumented immigrants within the context of globalization. It then assesses the criminal justice and homeland security responses to undocumented immigrants, also referred to as the criminalization of immigration. It subsequently explores the ethical dilemmas and value discrepancies for social workers that are implicated in some of these responses. Finally, it presents implications for social workers and the social work profession

Dark Matter and Galactic Collisions, gravitational lensing and the apparatus of wimps under consideration

During the last century many observations have been made to peep into the dark matter in the universe and many astonishing behaviors of Galaxy clusters have been found which do not fit to any theories formulated before. However, Optical Spectroscopic observation has been initially used to measure the rotational velocity of the Andromeda Galaxy as a function of distance found in contrast to the Law of Gravitation.Due to the expansion of space, electromagnetic radiation emitted in the distant Universe is redshifted on its path towards us which can be used to determine the distances of astronomical objects.Comment: 15 pages, 22 figure
