    Poetic Leadership, A Territory of Aesthetic Consciousness and Change

    Poetic leadership is a new theoretical construct that views leadership as an activity that unites a lyrical intellect with keenly felt emotion for the purpose of producing changes in the consciousness of self and others. This change begins within the interiority of self, moving surely to broader realms of one\u27s surroundings and society, provoking movement that impacts the developing potential of the individual and the cultural milieu in which they exist. Emotion is the primary trace into consciousness used in this dissertation, which serves to unite experiences of the heart with experiences of the mind. The unification of these disparate parts of self provides the foundation for the aesthetic experience, which transcends temporal and cultural boundaries, and, when consciously produced within the self, produces a poetic consciousness which in turn allows for the experience of poetic leadership. As activity that is situated within the experience of individual consciousness, yet is directed to external concerns, poetic leadership moves deeply into the territory of the group. Group consciousness thus becomes a concern, and so is defined as a scholarly construct unique to the field of leadership and change. Influence, ethical conduct, and cultural responsibility are all examined as key considerations impacting group processes, and are situated as primary concerns of poetic leadership processes.     Effect of integrated nutrient management on growth, productivity, quality and nutrient uptake of irrigated yellow sarson (Brassica campestris L var. yellow sarson) in older alluvial soil of West Bengal

    A field experiment was conducted during rabi (winter) seasons of 2007-08 and 2008-09 to study the effect of integrated nutrient management on growth, yield, oil content and nutrient uptake of yellow sarson (Brassica cam-pestris L var. yellow sarson) in older alluvial soil of West Bengal. Significantly higher leaf area index (1.75 at 40 days after sowing; DAS), dry matter accumulation (1366.9 g/m2 at 80 DAS) and highest number of siliquae/plant (118.3), number of seeds/siliqua (21.8), seed yield (1.90 t/ha), stover yield (3.86 t/ha) were recorded significantly (at 5% lev-el) higher with poultry manure (PM) @2.5t/ha +50%RDF (Recommended Dose of Fertilizer i.e. 80-40-40 of N-P2O5-K2O kg/ha) + PSB (phosphate solubilising bacteria) + AZ (Azotobacter) during both the years and on pooled basis. An average of 30.5% and 233% increase in seed yield by this treatment was recorded over sole application of RDF and control respectively. Integrated application of PM (2.5 t/ha) + 50% RDF + PSB + AZ recorded highest oil content (43.16%) and positive effect on soil fertility status. The highest benefit: cost ratios (2.26 and 2.4 in 2007-'08 and 2008-'09 respectively) were achieved from the use of 50% RDF + PM (2.5 t/ha) +PSB+AZ

    Effect of nitrogen and foliar spray of potassium nitrate and calcium nitrate on growth and productivity of yellow sarson (Brassica campestris L. var yellow sarson) crop under irrigated condition

    A field experiment was conducted during rabi season of 2007-’08 and 2008-’09 to study the effect of calcium nitrate {Ca (NO3)2} and potassium nitrate {KNO3} at 50 % flowering stage and soil applied nitrogen {N: (0, 40 and 80kg N/ha)} on growth, productivity and economics ofyellow sarson at farmers field under irrigated old alluvial soil of West Bengal. Highest leaf area index (LAI) values at 40 days of crop age (1.748 and 1.592), dry matter accumulation (1404.3 and 1288.8 gm-2) at 80 days and crop growth rate (C.G.R) (27.87 and 25.68 g m-2 day-1) in between 40 to 60 days were obtained at Nitrogen application at the rate of 80 kg / ha and mixed spray of 0.203 % Ca (NO3)2 + 0.25 % KNO3 respectively. Soil application of 80 kg N/ ha along with foliar spray of 0.203 % Ca (NO3)2 + 0.25 % KNO3 resulted increase in seed yield (1.68 t ha-1) by 12 % over 80 kg N/ ha with only water spray (1.5 t ha-1). Foliar spray of 0.203 % Ca (NO3)2 + 0.25 % KNO3 improved the yield components and seed yield over their sole application. Application of 80 kg N/ha along with 0.203 % Ca (NO3)2 + 0.25 % KNO3 at 50 % flowering stage was found to be the most effective in increasing yellow sarson production in old alluvial soil

    Clinical and radiological outcome of 3- and 4-part proximal humerus fracture managed with J nails in elderly osteoporotic individuals

    Background: Proximal humeral fracture is 3rd most common fracture in elderly population. Selection of appropriate implant is always challenging to get optimum results in these osteoporotic bones. Though locking plates are gold standard, major complications range from 9% to 36%. To study clinical and radiological outcome of J nail technique for Neer’s three or four part proximal humeral fractures in patients more than 60 years age.Methods: We retrospectively studied 60 patients of 3 or 4 part proximal humeral fractures, >60 years of age treated with J nail technique from the period of 2015 to 2017. J nails were made using 2 mm 12 inches blunt tip Lambrinudi wires. At final follow-up, clinical outcome was assessed using constant score and radiological evaluation was done according to the Bahr criteria.Results: The mean constant score at final follow-up was 90. The postoperative reduction was excellent in 98% of patients and remained excellent in 90%. The mean postoperative neck shaft angle was 135.0° and final neck shaft angle was 131.4°. No deep infection was seen. No avascular necrosis of humeral head was found till follow up to 2 years.Conclusions: Our study suggests that the functional and radiological outcomes obtained with J nailing are excellent and similar to locking plates and percutaneous Kirschner wire fixation with many other advantages of being simple, minimally invasive, avoiding muscle transfixation and no pin site infections

Due to Managing pools of big data and supporting big data analytics application HDFS has become a strong tool. Developer has to write custom programs in map reduce programming model which are difficult to maintain and reuse. Hive is open source solution built on top of hadoop which is used as data ware house. Hive supports HiveQL which is SQL-like language, which are compiled into mapreduce jobs to be executed on Hadoop

Such an architecture facilitates very high processor-memory bandwidth and hence allows for applications requiring orders of magnitude higher processing and update rates per DRAM than any current hardware. The array of processing elements process data coming simultaneously from several memory blocks by applying appropriate shifting and lookup table updates to them. Every processing element contains a permuter which makes it possible to assign data bits from any DRAM block to any functional block within the processing element as specified by controller setup. The lookup table is implemented as a common bus shared by all the processing elements.     Wide area condition monitoring of power electric drives in wind power generation system using radiated electromagnetic fields

    Electric components in numerous applications (particularly wind generation) are not straightforwardly accessible for monitoring. Therefore, the monitoring and protection through voltage/current measurement may not be dependable since the current value passes numerous segments to reach the observing element. Accordingly, finding an unusual phenomenon of a specific element is difficult. To resolve this issue, using transmitted electromagnetic field of an element for wide area condition monitoring is proposed. It is planned to diagnose and locate short-circuit in induction generator drive such as interturn, intercoil and terminal-to-turn failures. The frequency characteristics of the propagated field is then utilized for finding the short-circuit. The theoretical foundation that relate the behavior of each elements to their frequency response is analyzed and used. To utilize the derived technique for different practical circumstances, two distinctive methods are used for locating the short-circuit. As the experimental test of major fault cases could destruct the winding, the full three-dimensional finite element analysis is used in these cases and some are verified experimentally through the wide area communication. Identifying the areas of partial faults Prevents the whole winding failure prior to a massive destruction, which is costly especially for cases in inaccessible situations such as offshore wind towers
