Advanced Virgo Status

International audienceAdvanced Virgo is the successor of the initial Virgo gravitational wave detector. This new interferometer will use the infrastructure of its predecessor but aims to be 10 times more sensitive. This presentation will give an overview of the Advanced Virgo design and the technical choices behind it. The different subsystem will be detailed as well as the challenges that can be expected. Finally the up-to-date installation progress and expected schedule will be given
