    Research on the Behavior of Gen Z on Using of Green Tourism: The Role of Knowledge Sharing

    Purpose: The main objective of this study is to clarify the role of knowledge sharing about green tourism on tourists’decision to use tourism services.   Theoretical framework: This study applies the theory of planned behavior (TPB) as a basis framework to determine the factors that affect tourists’ decisions.   Design/Methodology/Approach: This study used quantitative research methods with data collected through questionnaires with respondents of young people in Hanoi, Vietnam. The results were 288 valid questionnaires processed with structural equation modeling (SEM) through SPSS and Amos software.   Findings: This study confirms the influence of attitude factors, and perceived behavioral control on Gen Z's decision to use green tourism services. Moreover, the study confirms the role of knowledge sharing about green tourism as an antecedent factor that shapes the mechanism influence of green perception of Gen Z in the relationship between attitude and decision to use green tourism services.   Research, practical & social implications: This study helps administrators have a deeper insight into the importance of knowledge sharing activities in training, recruitment and orienting sustainable development policies towards raising awareness about the goal of building sustainable development. building and developing a green economy in general and the tourism industry in particular.   Originality/Value: This study has shown that knowledge sharing builds and leads to positive attitudes about green tourism services. This is a new contribution of the study with providing evidence in identifying the primary factors in the relationship between attitudes and decisions to use green tourism services

    A realization model to develop the autopilot system of ships by specializing MDA

    This paper presents a method which is based on the Model-Driven Architecture (MDA) and functional blocks to realize effectively the autopilot systems of ships. It brings out an executable MDA process to cover completely the requirement analysis, design and deployment phases of these systems. This process also allows the determined design elements to be customizable and re-usable in the new applications of controlled ship steering systems. The paper indicates straightforwardly the ship dynamic model-to-be used, the Computation Independent Model (CIM) of a ship autopilot system, the Platform Independent Model (PIM) of this system by using the Real-Time Unified Modeling Language (UML), and its Platform Specific Model (PSM) implemented by the functional blocks. Furthermore, the important transformation rules are also brought out and applied to convert the identified PIM into PSM for implementing quickly this system with different industrial frameworks such as the IEC61499 in a programmable controller. Then, its deployment model completely is tested on a model ship with the predetermined program and control performance

    Research on Factors Affecting the Intention to Maintain a Long-Term Relationship in Franchising in Vietnam

    Purpose: This study examines the factors in franchising that influence satisfaction and intention to maintain a long-term relationship.   Theoretical framework: This study applies the theory of consumer behavior to prove that the factors of cooperation, support, trust, commitment, brand value, and commitment are the factors that affect customer satisfaction through table design.   Design/Methodology/Approach: This study obtained 386 valid answers that were coded and cleaned using SPSS and AMOS software, after cleaning and coding, the reliability test, exploratory factor analysis, and confirmatory factor analysis were carried out to determine CFA and test the SEM hypothesis.   Findings:  This study shows that four independent factors are trust, cooperation, brand value, and cost, which are factors that indirectly affect the intention to maintain the relationship in franchising, franchise through the intermediate variable is satisfaction.   Research, Practical & Social implications: This study proposes a number of governance implications to increase the intention to maintain the franchisor-franchise relationship.   Originality/Value: This study examined the factors that indirectly affect the intention to maintain the relationship in the franchise system through the mediating variable. At the same time, the study also tries to clarify how the influence of the identified factors has an indirect effect on the intention to maintain a relationship in the franchise

    In recent years, along with the economic growth, the electronic commerce in Vietnam has a significant development but its increase hasn’t achieved the full potential. One of the biggest restraints is the lack of customers’ trust toward the online sellers. Beside honest sellers, there exist also some sellers who are still opportunist, cheating their customers. These issues concern the business ethics. The ethics in electronic commerce that is a part of business ethics has been attracted by a lot of scholars and managers in the world.  However, almost all of the studies in this issue have been executed in developed countries. It’s a gap that is necessarily to fill up. Therefore, the main objective of this study is to develop and valid a new scale to measure the sellers’ ethics in e – commerce with customers’ perspective in the context of Vietnam - one of the most dynamic developing countries in the world.     Diagnosing and treating lesions of the mouth and gums is challenging for most clinicians because of the wide variety of disease processes that can present with similar appearing lesions and the fact that most clinicians receive inadequate training in mouth diseases. Oral cancer, a common lesion in oral cavity, is not correctly diagnosing a clinical picture of an early squamous cell carcinoma. The prevalence of oral cancer continues to rise worldwide, related to the increase in consumption of tobacco, alcohol and other carcinogenic products. However, there has also been a significant reduction in mortality due to increasing awareness, early diagnosis and advances in treatments.     Effect of phosphate fertilizer-coated Dicarboxylic Acid Polymer on rice yield and components under greenhouse conditions

    A significant amount of phosphorus (P) becomes fixed by aluminium (Al) and iron (Fe) in acidic soils, leading to decreased efficiency in P utilization and subsequently lowering crop yield. Enhanced P fertilization offers a potential solution, as the dicarboxylic acid polymer (DCAP) coating on P fertilizer promotes increased plant productivity and more effective P utilization. The improvement achieved through enhanced P fertilization can contribute to higher rice yields in acidic soils, accompanied by an increase in P solubility. The study aimed to determine the impact of DCAP-mixed phosphate fertilizer on P uptake by plants, absorption efficiency, and rice yield. The results demonstrated a significant increase in available P (about 3.5 mg P/kg) when DCAP was used in a greenhouse setting, resulting in elevated yields and total P absorption (ranging from 0.03 to 0.05 grams/pot). However, the addition of 60 kg of phosphate mixed with DCAP has not yet demonstrated a significant increase in available phosphorus in the soil compared to adding just 60 kg of phosphate. The application of phosphate at a dose of 30 kg of P2O5 mixed with DCAP for growth and phosphorus absorption yield results equivalent to using 60 kg of P2O5 without DCAP. Furthermore, the use of DCAP in conjuction with 50% P fertilizer increased P availability by the same amount as that achieved with 100% P fertilizer. Consequently, DCAP reduced chemical P fertilizer in the soil by approximately 50%. However, it is essential to evaluate the effectiveness of mixed phosphate fertilizer (DCAP) under field conditions before recommending its widespread use

    Transoral endoscopic thyroidectomy vestibular approach as a novel technique for pediatric populations: Results from a single surgeon

    BackgroundThe transoral endoscopic thyroidectomy vestibular approach (TOETVA) is increasingly being adopted worldwide because of its many advantages. However, there are few reports on the effectiveness and safety of TOETVA in children. In this study, we report the results of the application of TOETVA on 27 pediatric patients in Vietnam. To the best of our knowledge, this is also the largest sample size of the TOETVA technique performed by a single surgeon on pediatric patients worldwide. Patients and methods: From June 2020 to February 2022, we performed TOETVA on 27 pediatric patients (≤ 18 years old). The outcomes of the procedure were retrospectively reviewed.ResultsOur study was conducted on 27 pediatric patients, of whom 24 were female (88.9%). The mean age was 16.3 ± 2 (range 10-18). Fifteen patients had benign thyroid nodules with a mean nodule size of 31.6 ± 7.1 (range 20-50mm), and 12 patients had papillary thyroid carcinoma with a mean nodule size of 10.2 ± 5.6 (range 4-19mm). All 27 patients underwent successful TOETVA without any conversion to open surgery. The 15 patients with benign thyroid nodules had lobectomies with a mean operative time of 83.3 ± 10.5 (range 60-105 minutes). Among the 12 patients diagnosed with thyroid cancer, ten had a lobectomy, isthmusectomy, and central neck dissection, with a mean operative time of 89.8 ± 5.7 (range 80-100 minutes). The other two underwent total thyroidectomy with central lymph node dissection with a mean operative time of 132.5 minutes. The mean hospital stay was 4.7 ± 0.9 (range 3-7 days). No patient had permanent complications, such as hypocalcemia, recurrent laryngeal nerve injury, or mental nerve injury. The rates of temporary recurrent laryngeal nerve injury and mental nerve injury were 3.7% and 11.1% respectively.ConclusionsTOETVA may be a feasible and safe surgical method for children with thyroid disease. However, we recommend that only high-volume thyroid surgeons with experience in TOETVA should perform TOETVA on the pediatric population

    A hierarchical architecture for increasing efficiency of large photovoltaic plants under non-homogeneous solar irradiation

    Under non-homogeneous solar irradiation, photovoltaic (PV) panels receive different solar irradiance, resulting in a decrease in efficiency of the PV generation system. There are a few technical options to fix this issue that goes under the name of mismatch. One of these is the reconfiguration of the PV generation system, namely changing the connections of the PV panels from the initial configuration to the optimal one. Such technique has been widely considered for small systems, due to the excessive number of required switches. In this paper, the authors propose a new method for increasing the efficiency of large PV systems under non-homogeneous solar irradiation using Series-Parallel (SP) topology. In the first part of the paper, the authors propose a method containing two key points: a switching matrix to change the connection of PV panels based on SP topology and the proof that the SP-based reconfiguration method can increase the efficiency of the photovoltaic system up to 50%. In the second part, the authors propose the extension of the method proposed in the first part to improve the efficiency of large solar generation systems by means of a two-levels architecture to minimize the cost of fabrication of the switching matrix

    Primary Mucoepidermoid Carcinoma of the Thyroid: A Report of a Rare Case with Bone Metastasis and Review of the Literature

    Mucoepidermoid carcinomas (MECs) are generally found in salivary gland, but they have also been mentioned in other organs such as the larynx, esophagus, breast. MECs are considered to be a low-grade carcinoma and their occurrence in the thyroid is extremely rare. We present a 54-year-old male patient admitted to our clinic, complaining about having back pains for approximately three months. A lumbosacral spine MRI and a PET/CT scan revealed multiple lesions in the L4, L5, S1 vertebra bodies, sacral bone and left pelvis bone, suggesting of a metastatic disease. The result of thyroid FNA was carcinoma and a biopsy of the vertebra bone confirmed the presence of a metastatic carcinoma. A total thyroidectomy and level VI neck dissection was conducted followed by palliative external beam radiotherapy (30 Gy) to the vertebra bodies, sacral bone and left pelvis bone. In pathological studies, the diagnosis of thyroid mucoepidermoid carcinoma was confirmed. Six months after treatment, the patient died due to severe pain and fatigue caused by the disease. Here, we report a rare case with bone metastasis as the first symptom of MEC and a brief review of published literature on the subject

    An object-oriented design method to implement the mechatronic system control by using hybrid automata and real-time UML

    In this paper, we present a method, which is based on hybrid automata and Real-Time Unified Modeling Language (UML) to analyze and design the control parts of mechatronic systems with input or output events and signals in order to effectively gather their structure and behaviour. We introduce step-by-step analysis and design activities of a controlled mechatronic system such as the specification of its hybrid automaton and realization hypotheses, the identification of object collaborations of this system, the identification of main control capsules, their ports and communication protocols, with their static and dynamic links. These activities are conducted by specializing the iterative life cycle of system development. Then, we indicate important hypotheses, which allow all the identified capsules of this system to make their evolutions. We apply this method to develop an Electro-Hydraulic Governor (EHG) system, which allows the frequency of an electro-hydraulic station to be stabilized
