An improvement of non-integrated defect relation for meromorphic maps from Kahler manifolds with arbitrary hypersurfaces

Our purpose in this paper is to establish a non-integrated defect relation for meromorphic mappings from a complete Kahler manifold into a projective variety intersecting an arbitrary family of hypersurfaces with explicit truncation level. In our result, both the above bound of the total defect and the truncation level are estimated independently of the number of involving hypersurfaces. Our result generalizes and improves the previous results in this topic.Comment: 15 pages. arXiv admin note: text overlap with arXiv:1712.0569

summary:This paper deals with the finiteness problem of meromorphic funtions on an annulus sharing four values regardless of multiplicity. We prove that if three admissible meromorphic functions f1f_1, f2f_2, f3f_3 on an annulus A(R0)\mathbb A({R_0}) share four distinct values regardless of multiplicity and have the {\it complete identity set} of positive counting function, then f1=f2f_1=\nobreak f_2 or f2=f3f_2=f_3 or f3=f1f_3=f_1. This result deduces that there are at most two admissible meromorphic functions on an annulus sharing a value with multiplicity truncated to level 22 and sharing other three values regardless of multiplicity. This result also implies that there are at most three admissible meromorphic functions on an annulus sharing four values regardless of multiplicities. These results are a generalization and improvement of the previous results on finiteness problem of meromorphic functions on C\mathbb C sharing four values

Introduction: This publication is the product of  research developed within the research lines of the Smart Sensing, Signal Processing, and Applications (3SPA)  research  group  throughout  2018,  which  supports  the  work  of  a  doctor’s degree at VNU University of Engineering & Technology, Vietnam. Problem: The limitations of diagnostic ultrasound techniques using echo information has motivated the study of new imaging models in order to create additional quantitative ultrasound information in multi-model imaging devices. A promising solution is to use image sound contrast because it is capable of detecting changes in diseased tissue structures. Ultrasound tomography shows speed-of-sound changes in the propagation medium of sound waves. This technique is primarily used for imaging cancer-causing cells in womens’ breasts. The Distorted Born Iterative Method (DBIM), based on the first-order Born approximation, is an efficient diffraction tomography approach. The compressed sensing technique is utilized for DBIM to obtain the high-quality ultrasound image, although the image reconstruction process is quite long. Objective: The objective of the research is to propose an combined method for the efficient ultrasound tomography. Methodology: In this paper, we proposed an approach to enhance the imaging quality and to reduce the imaging time by applying the compressed sensing technique along with the multi-resolution technique for the DBIM. Results: The simulation results indicate that the imaging time is reduced by 33% and the imaging quality is improved by 83%. Conclusion: This project seeks to propose an improvement in ultrasound tomography. The simulated results confirmed the realibility of the propsed method. Originality: Through this research, a combined method of compressed sensing and multiple resolution are formulated for the first time in ultrasound tomography. Limitations: The lack of experiments to confirm the proposed method.

Challenges and successes in the treatment of hemophilia: the story of a patient with severe hemophilia A and high-titer inhibitors

    Get PDF
In the past, patients with severe hemophilia have suffered a substantially reduced quality of life with frequent bleeding episodes, disabling arthropathy, and shorter life expectancy. In addition, methods of treatment and management have been costly and time-consuming, and have placed a considerable burden on patients’ physical and psychological well-being. With the advent of the on-demand therapy and prophylactic treatment paradigm, patients have been able to receive care with less interruption of daily activities. Treatments may be more challenging for hemophiliacs with inhibitors to replacement factor; however, recent advances in the use of bypassing agents and immune tolerance therapy have enabled them to aggressively manage their disease while maintaining their independence. This review focuses on the challenges of treating such a severe hemophiliac through examination of the lifetime experience of a young adult male with a severe form of congenital hemophilia A. At this stage of his life, the patient has minimal disabilities and is inhibitor-free through optimal care and strong family support. His aspiration to pursue a productive life has led him to a career in medicine. After receiving his medical degree, he pursued a specialty in the treatment of hemophilia. By assisting other hemophilia patients, he exemplifies both the rewards of persevering through episodes of bleeding and other complications and the fact that disabilities can be minimized when managed meticulously and in a timely fashion to enable a productive and dignified life

Mechanical response of outer frames in tuning fork gyroscope model with connecting diamond-shaped frame

    Get PDF
In tuning fork micro-gyroscopes, two outer frames are connected by using the linking elements. The driving vibrations of the two outer frames are required to be exactly opposite to generate the opposite sensing modes perpendicular to driving direction. These opposite driving vibrations are provided by a mechanical structure named the diamond-shaped frame. This paper presents mechanical responses of two outer frames in a proposed model of tuning fork gyroscope when an external force with different types is applied to them. The results show that the presence of a diamond-shaped frame guarantees the absolute anti-phase mode for the driving vibrations of outer frames

Non-classical properties and generation schemes of superposition of multiple-photon-added two-mode squeezed vacuum state

In this paper, we study some non-classical properties and propose the generation schemes of the superposition of multiple-photon-added two-mode squeezed vacuum state (SMPA-TMSVS). Based on the   Wigner function, we clarify that this state is a non-Gaussian state, while the original two-mode squeezed vacuum state (TMSVS) is a Gaussian state. Besides, the SMPA-TMSVS is sum squeezing, as well as difference squeezing. In particular, the manifestation of the sum squeezing and the difference squeezing in the SMPA-TMSVS becomes more pronounced when increasing parameters r and e. In addition, by exploiting the schemes of photon-added superposition in the usual order, we give some schemes that the SMPA-TMSVS can be generated with the higher-order photon-added superposition by using some optical devices

Oral Cancer: The State of the Art of Modern-Day Diagnosis and Treatment

    Get PDF
Diagnosing and treating lesions of the mouth and gums is challenging for most clinicians because of the wide variety of disease processes that can present with similar appearing lesions and the fact that most clinicians receive inadequate training in mouth diseases. Oral cancer, a common lesion in oral cavity, is not correctly diagnosing a clinical picture of an early squamous cell carcinoma. The prevalence of oral cancer continues to rise worldwide, related to the increase in consumption of tobacco, alcohol and other carcinogenic products. However, there has also been a significant reduction in mortality due to increasing awareness, early diagnosis and advances in treatments. This chapter is an attempt to provide a comprehensive update encompassing the spectrum of etiologic/risk factors, current clinical diagnostic tools, management philosophies, and molecular biomarkers and progression indicators of oral cancer
