    In the process of quality inspection of Remote sensing image data results, the reuse of spatial location information of multiple units, multiple projects and multiple sources can not only overcome the problems of long time to obtain control information, high cost and difficulty in obtaining some areas, but also the basis for achieving efficient and high-precision geometric correction. From the perspective of reusability of checkpoints and saving the cost of quality inspection of remote sensing images, this paper discusses the necessity of joint construction of multi-source and multi-resolution image checkpoint database. And put forward the construction principle and management objectives of checkpoint database. At last, this paper briefly introduces and prospects the application of the national multi-source and multi-resolution image checkpoint database

    Modelling Changes To Survey Response Items Over Time In A Britain Financial Literacy Education Study

    This study develops a general method for modeling changes in response to items relating to students perceptions of personal finance and financial products. The new method is illustrated to analyze data from a sample of 1,250 students aged 16-18 who participated in a financial capability education study in the UK. We demonstrate how a quantitative indicator of the changes in students' responses can be applied in various educational research projects, particularly as a measure of program effectiveness. Predictions are based on prior survey responses, which are taken as relevant historical information for a cohort of students. We find significant changes in the responses of students towards reported career choice following the Financial Literacy Education course at national colleges in the UK

    Case Report: Metagenomic next-generation sequencing applied in diagnosing psittacosis caused by Chlamydia psittaci infection

    BackgroundChlamydia psittaci is the causative agent of psittacosis in humans, while its rapid identification is hampered due to the lack of specificity of laboratory testing methods.Case presentationThis study reports four cases of C. psittaci infection after contact with a domestic parrot, all belonging to the same family. Common manifestations like fever, cough, headache, nausea, and hypodynamia appeared in the patients. Metagenomic next-generation sequencing (mNGS) aided the etiological diagnosis of psittacosis, revealing 58318 and 7 sequence reads corresponding to C. psittaci in two cases. The detected C. psittaci was typed as ST100001 in the Multilocus-sequence typing (MLST) system, a novel strain initially reported. Based on the results of pathogenic identification by mNGS, the four patients were individually, treated with different antibiotics, and discharged with favorable outcomes.ConclusionIn diagnosing psittacosis caused by a rare C. psittaci agent, mNGS provides rapid etiological identification, contributing to targeted antibiotic therapy and favorable outcomes. This study also reminds clinicians to raise awareness of psittacosis when encountering family members with a fever of unknown origin

    Light absorption enhancement of black carbon in urban Beijing in summer

    The light absorption enhancement (E-abs) of black carbon (BC) caused by non-BC materials is an important source of uncertainty in radiative forcing estimate, yet remains poorly understood in relatively polluted environment such as the megacity Beijing. Here BC absorption enhancement at 630 nm was in-situ measured using a ther-modenuder coupled with a soot particle aerosol mass spectrometer and a single scattering albedo monitor in Beijing in summer. The project average (+/- 1 sigma) E-abs was 1.59 ( +/- 0.26), suggesting a significant amplification of BC absorption due to coating materials. E-abs presented a clear daytime increase due to enhanced photochemical processing, and a strong dependence on the mass ratios of non-BC coatings to BC (R-BC). Our results showed that the increase in E(abs )as a function of R-BC was mainly caused by the increased contributions of secondary aerosol. Further analysis showed that the BC absorption enhancement in summer in Beijing was mainly associated with secondary formation of nitrate, sulfate and highly oxidized secondary organic aerosol (SOA), while the formation of freshly and less oxidized SOA appeared not to play an important role.Peer reviewe
