Objective: to compare the workload at a neonatal unit, according to Nursing Activities Score, and the dimensioning of nursing staff. Methods: cross-sectional study at a teaching unit with 30 beds. Data collection took place from October 6 to December 6, 2017, and data were analyzed according to descriptive statistics. Results: the sample of 115 neonates, totaling 1944 measurements. The average workload score was 73%. The unit has 107 nursing professionals, while should has 137. The proportion of registered nurses was lower than recommended (34%), whereas the proportion of nursing technicians was higher than recommended (66%). Conclusion: there was an imbalance between workload and number of professionals in nursing staff. Tools as Nursing Activities Score should be applied for supporting the staff dimensioning, since workload can impact the health outcomes and patient safety.

Azimuthal anisotropy in Au+Au collisions at sqrtsNN = 200 GeV

The results from the STAR Collaboration on directed flow (v_1), elliptic flow (v_2), and the fourth harmonic (v_4) in the anisotropic azimuthal distribution of particles from Au+Au collisions at sqrtsNN = 200 GeV are summarized and compared with results from other experiments and theoretical models. Results for identified particles are presented and fit with a Blast Wave model. Different anisotropic flow analysis methods are compared and nonflow effects are extracted from the data. For v_2, scaling with the number of constituent quarks and parton coalescence is discussed. For v_4, scaling with v_2^2 and quark coalescence is discussed.Comment: 26 pages. As accepted by Phys. Rev. Achnanthidium druartii sp. nov. (Achnanthales, Bacillariophyta), a new species invading European rivers

International audienceSince 2004, an unknown diatom taxon has been spreading through an increasing number of French watercourses. Our findings led us to describe it as a new species, Achnanthidium druartii sp. nov. This taxon can easily be differentiated from other morphologically closely related species like A. convergens, A. deflexum, A. japonicum, A. latecephalum, A. pyrenaicum and A. rivulare with both light and electron microscopy since its valve is longer, its stria density is lower and it has a lanceolate shape with subrostrated apices (never capitated). The assessment of its ecology was made through physicochemical analyses carried out on sites that are part of the river monitoring quality networks. The new taxon is an epilithic taxon, often observed in well mineralized waters running through sedimentary rock and of quite low trophic and saprobic levels. Many of the sites are large rivers and navigation channels. Considering the increasing number of stations where it was recorded and since it is only recently recorded in rivers, this taxon can be considered as invasive

Mìneral Deposit Letters 'neralium Multistage gold deposition in the Archaean Maria Lázara gold deposit (Goiás, Brazil)

Abstract. The Maria Lázara gold deposit in the Archaean Guarinos greenstone belt, central Brazil, consists of quartz-carbonate veins formed in a ductile shear zone. Study of the sulphides and gold-bearing quartz-carbonate veins and veinlets of the potassic hydrothermal alteration zone reveals two stages of ore paragenesis. The first stage corresponds to S-rich arsenopyrite deposition and the second one to the precipitation of As-rich arsenopyrite and Bi-Te-Au-S phases. Modes of occurrence, textures and Ag contents of native gold define two types of gold. The first type is native gold with Ag contents > 5 wt % postdating the S-rich arsenopyrites. The second type has Ag contents < 3 wt % and is contemporaneous with Bi-Te-S phases
