MONETARY IMPULSES AND INSTRUMENTS IN THE SHAPING OF THE RELATIONS BETWEEN THE CENTRAL BANK AND THE BANKING SECTOR

    No full text
Monetary impulses consist in a change in the monetary category and are the effect of the central bank’s administrative decisions. They take the form of changes in the size of the monetary policy instruments applied. Those impulses are generated by the central bank using the monetary policy transmission mechanism and they predominantly induce certain behaviours of banking institutions. Consequently, the banking sector reacts to the monetary instruments being used by creating a more or less favourable financial environment for the real sphere, i.e. businesses and households. The type of monetary policy instruments, when they are applied as well as the power exercised through them by a central bank shape in different ways the relations of dependencies and independencies within the banking sector and its sensitivity to monetary impulses in different liquidity conditions

    No full text
The increase in the degree of uncertainty and risks in the functioning of economic agents in the conditions of the transformation period brings about difficulties in formulating appropriate assessments of the economic situation. These difficulties are aggravated by the reduced scope of the enterprises' obligatory reporting. In the economy of the transformation period the method of conjuncture test is of special significance, and constitutes an additional source of qualitative information. The analysis of its results allows to determine the general image of the economic situation and, in addition, permits to demonstrate enterprises' capacity of adaptation to new system conditions. The adaptation of enterprises to the market game conditions is here analysed on the basis of the quahtative indicators of the economic conjuncture relating to the shaping and the forecasting of demand and production volume by economic agents in manufacturing industry. Additionally, the analysis covers the changes in investment and non-investment projects that aim at invigorating the economy and overcoming the persisting economic recession.Digitalizacja i deponowanie archiwalnych zeszytów RPEiS sfinansowane przez MNiSW w ramach realizacji umowy nr 541/P-DUN/201

    No full text
Private property ceased to by the only form of property in contemporary developed capitalistic countries. It is still playing a dominating rolle in the economy, but a new subject of property appears in addition to it:the state as a collective capitalist. Apart from traditional lines of business firms dealing with industry production and services belang to the state. In relation to it there appears a problem of interrelationships between these two forms of property in individual branches. According to the type of branch the state sector may have one of three positions with regard to the private sector. In such activities as: coal industry, railways, power supply and telecommunication — state enterprises held a monopolistic position. It is connected with high capital intensity of these branches. A compétitive position towards private property is characteristic for the following lines of business: car industry, chemistry, construction, shipbuilding, aircraft and military industries. It results from political, economic and social reasons, as well as from the tradition. There are also branches, in which the state sector plays a secondary role: agriculture, services, trade and others. The private sector — state sector relation seems to be stabilized.Digitalizacja i deponowanie archiwalnych zeszytów RPEiS sfinansowane przez MNiSW w ramach realizacji umowy nr 541/P-DUN/201

Current Problems of Development and Functioning of French Public Sector

    No full text
Since the creation of the state productive sector in post-war France there have passed already almost thirty years. Stabilization of the scope of public property in that time and efforts to an active stimulation of the private and capitalist economy by the state have made it necessary to introduce few corrections in functioning of the state sector in order to maintain by the state a position of a serious partner of the private sector. The first group of changes consist of structural changes. They embrace from the one side — concentration and centralization of output and capital of state firms and on the other one — strengthening of co-operation with the private sector via the creation of common subsidiaries or the conclusion of co-operation agreement. The second group of changes — these are changes in management and social policy in the state firms. The third group concerns changes in the directions of state investments which shift from traditional fields (power supply and transport) into modern ones (chemical industry, electrotechnology) as well as new aspects of influencing economic growth through active promotion of scientific and technological progress and regional policy of state firms.Digitalizacja i deponowanie archiwalnych zeszytów RPEiS sfinansowane przez MNiSW w ramach realizacji umowy nr 541/P-DUN/201
