Structural Characterization of β-Glycolaldehyde Dimer

Structural characterization of the β-polymorph of glycolaldehyde dimer by powder X-ray diffraction, Raman and infrared spectroscopies is described. The previously described α-polymorph and the β-polymorph both crystallize in the monoclinic crystal system, space group P21/c, but with different cell parameters. There are no significant differences in the glycolaldehyde dimer molecular structure, the molecules in both polymorphs are trans-isomers with the hydroxyl groups in axial positions. The two polymorphs have a different arrangement of the glycolaldehyde dimer molecules. In the previously reported α-polymorph the molecules are arranged in hydrogen bonded layers parallel to (100) while in the β-polymorph the hydrogen bonded molecules are arranged in a three-dimensional network. Theoretically calculated Gibbs free energy as well as differential scanning calorimetry indicate β-polymorph to be the stable crystal phase of glycolaldehyde. On Locality in Quantum General Relativity and Quantum Gravity

The physical concept of locality is first analyzed in the special relativistic quantum regime, and compared with that of microcausality and the local commutativity of quantum fields. Its extrapolation to quantum general relativity on quantum bundles over curved spacetime is then described. It is shown that the resulting formulation of quantum-geometric locality based on the concept of local quantum frame incorporating a fundamental length embodies the key geometric and topological aspects of this concept. Taken in conjunction with the strong equivalence principle and the path-integral formulation of quantum propagation, quantum-geometric locality leads in a natural manner to the formulation of quantum-geometric propagation in curved spacetime. Complex kinesiological activities for children of preschool age

Važnost kinezioloških aktivnosti u predškolskoj dobi je velika jer pozitivno utječu na antropološki status djeteta. Odgojitelji, kineziolozi i roditelji su oni koji trebaju poticati aktivno sudjelovanje djece u sportskim programima. U radu je prikazana važnost kinezioloških aktivnosti u predškolskoj dobi, vrste kinezioloških aktivnosti, kompleksne kineziološke aktivnosti i načini provođenja kompleksnih aktivnosti s djecom predškolske dobi, izrada plana i programa tjelesnog vježbanja te uloga odgojitelja. U radu je prikazan utjecaj tjelesnih aktivnosti na rast i razvoj djeteta te koliko odgojitelji, uz roditelje, u tome imaju važnu ulogu koju moraju shvatiti ozbiljno kako bi djecu odvojili od svijeta tehnologije i upoznali ih s onim ljepšim, slobodnim svijetom aktivne igre.The importance of kinesiological activities in preschool age is large because it influences positively the anthropological status of children. Educators, kinesiologists and parents are those who need to encourage active participation of children in sport programmes. In this study are described the importance of physical activities, the types of activities, complex physical activities and the methods of practising the activities with children of preschool age, plan and programme of physical education and the role of educator. In the study is shown the influence of physical activities on the growth and development of children and how important educators are, together with parents, in having an important role that must be taken serious in order to move children away from the world of technology and introduce them to the more beautiful and free world of active play

Research of black pine (Pinus nigra Arnold) forests dynamics in National park Sjeverni Velebit

Cilj ovog rada je istraživanje dinamike rastacrnoga bora posebice na području NP Sjeverni velebit. U tu svrhu korišteno je nekoliko dendrokronoloških metoda i analitičkih programa. Napravljena je kronologija sastavljena od 49 izvrtaka sa 25 stabala. Izvedena je indeksna kronologija te je utvrđena značajna korelacija radijalnog rasta crnog bora sa mjesečnim vrijednostima oborina i temperatura. Prema tim podacima napravljena je rekonstrukcija oborina za razdoblje od 1800-2015 godine. Kronologija poremećaj analizirana je koristeći metodu Nowacki & Abrams (1997) s kojom je utvrđeno 4-5 požara u zadnjih 200-njak godina na području nacionalnog parka. Integrating technological marketing and management: a case study in Croatian telecommunication companies

Tehnologijski menadžment i marketing predstavljaju nova posebna područja primjene klasičnih menadžerskih i marketinških tehnika, znanja i vještina. Ovo se istraživanje bavi proučavanjem primjene i značaja tehnologijskog menadžmenta i marketinga za vodeća hrvatska informacijska i komunikacijska poduzeća, s naglaskom na informacijsko-komunikacijsku tehnologiju te procese. Istraživanjem se pokazalo u kojoj su mjeri ispitanici zadovoljni sa korištenjem telekomunikacijskih usluga, te da operatori u Hrvatskoj u dovoljnoj mjeri koriste nove tehnologije, ali to čine manje i lošije u odnosu na operatore iz Europe.Technology Management and Marketing are new special fields of application of classical management and marketing techniques, knowledge and skills.
