This research article studies the information seeking search strategies used by theological faculty members in Tamil Nadu. It is based on a structured questionnaire sent to 120 select faculty members, of which 101 questionnaires were returned, achieving a response rate of 84%. Major findings of this study contribute to understanding the awareness and use of search options among respondents. Basic and keyword search options are commonly used by respondents in online sources while preferences for references from books and journals are more popular among faculty members to locate bibliographic information in print sources. This study further noted that faculty members are generally seeking information for preparing class lectures and preaching sermons and respondents indicated that Google searching is highly used by them for locating online information. The respondents expressed that borrowing books and using reference books and journals are the most compelling reasons for visiting libraries. Reading table of contents and reading specific articles are common strategies used by faculty members while looking for information in print resources. The non-availability of full-text articles, lack of scholarly national publications and retrieving irrelevant articles are problems faculty members commonly face while searching online resources. The findings of this study have impact on library instruction, and for improving library services and collections in theological institutions in Tamil Nadu

Purpose: The purpose of this study was conducted to find out the realistic about the user’s utilization and satisfaction level of Central library of Sikkim Manipal Institute of Medical Sciences (SMIMS), Gangtok, Sikkim, India. The user’s satisfaction of a library totally depends upon the utilization of library resources and services. Methodology: For the required queries a questionnaire was prepared for the present study and it was distributed among 120 SMIMS students randomly. Findings: The study exposed that students use the library for browsing e-resources and borrow books as per their need. From the students responses it was clear that users give preferences on accessing e-resources than printed material. Research Limitations: The present study is limited only for the students of the particular medical institution. The students were selected from different disciplines i.e. medical science, nursing and physiotherapy. Though faculties also use the library along with the students of this institution yet the research survey was limited for the students only. Practical Implications: Users were satisfied by using the library services like e-resources accessing, printing & photocopying service, DDS service, SMS alert service etc. Above these services the respondents recommended for digitization of the central library for the better utilization of library services as new information and communication technology are developing day by day so it should be implemented for best practices. Originality: This is the original study as it is absolutely based on primary data from student’s survey. Some additional data are also collected personally from the library staff to know the better utilization of library services

Objective To determine the coverage and outcome of Universal Newborn Hearing Screening (UNHS) Program in Government Medical College Manjeri, South India. To study the prevalence of hearing loss (HL) among those children screened, to describe the characteristics of confirmed cases, and the status of speech and language development acquired by them at follow up. Design Hospital based retro prospective study. Methods Data were collected from all newborns who underwent Universal Newborn Hearing Screening (UNHS) over a four-year period (November 2014 to October 2018). Cases with confirmed hearing loss were studied by pre-structured questionnaire and telephonic interview. Speech and language assessments of 10 confirmed cases were conducted after a period of intervention. Results Out of 17,260 babies, 16,625 were screened (96.3%). HL was confirmed for 13 of these, resulting in a prevalence rate of 0.08%. Risk factors for HL were not present in 61.5% of these cases. Confirmation was done at a median age of 6 months with an Interquartile Range (IQR) (4; 12). Interventions in the form of speech therapy and hearing aid were started at a median age of 17.5 months with an IQR (13;25) and the median duration of intervention till the time of assessment was 30 months with an IQR (17;43) Out of 13, five children were managed with hearing aid. Another five required cochlear implant at a median age of 24 months with an IQR (17.5; 33). All received speech therapy. Three children were lost during follow up. On assessment using ISD and REELS, eight out of the remaining 10 children showed a lag in the speech and language development, with a median delay of 19.3 months with an IQR (2; 34.5) Conclusions Coverage of the program was optimal, with almost all newborns successfully screened. More than half of the confirmed children did not exhibit risk factors for HL and therefore might not have been identified early without UNHS. The observed median age of starting intervention for confirmed cases was higher than the age recommended by AAP guidelines and most of the children had language development below those of typically hearing age mates after months of intervention. Key words: Universal Newborn Hearing Screening, Outcome, Oto Acoustic Emission, Hearing loss, Neonates

Abstract: This paper presents the design and realization of low power, high gain PC based system for ECG and data acquisition of a patient's heart condition. The advantage of this system is the use of standard CMOS process which will reduce the complexity and cost of the manufacturer. The system consists of three subsystemsOperational Amplifier based Pre-amplifier, ADC and USB interface device. High gain around 85 dB, low power dissipation of typically 0.683 mW and 61.5 degree phase-margin for stable closed loop operations were achieved. All design and simulation were done using Tanner Tool 0.5 ÎĽm technology
