    Get PDF
2000 Mathematics Subject Classification: 62H15, 62P10.The optimal control settings are useful tools in studying the behavior of the plasma concentration of a drug (medicine) after its application. Linear compartmental systems are widely used as mathematical models for studying this behavior. In this paper we develop a strategy for minimizing the total amount of applied drug under the restriction: the mean plasma concentrations belongs to prescribed therapeutic interval. The aim of the article is to give to the therapeutist an simple and applicable formula for the optimal input sequence of multiple doses as a function of the time and rate constant of drug elimination. The desired formula is given as a result of the theorems for optimal input function which we proved. The optimal input is important specially for patients, which needs of treatment with antibiotics but they have kidney shortage function. Because of this the relationship between the optimal dose and the time intervals of administration to maintain a effective drug concentration in plasma is considered too. The results are applied to the two compartment stochastic model using experimental data of plasma concentration after single administration of antibiotic Tobramicin to a patient with kidney shortage function

The purpose of this article is to give us an overview via the comparative analysis of some main components of online reputation between two different types of accommodation – hotels and family hotels. With the use of the statistical package SPSS, the ratings, the number of reviews, and the response rate of the two types of objects were studied. The results are showing that family hotels have higher rating scores on Booking.com (8.64%) compared to pure hotels (8.05%). What is also showing that for family hotels, management responses influence pricing, while for hotels, the category and rating of the object are crucial. The response rate for both types of accommodation is still too low: 11.3% for family hotels and 14.6% for pure hotels. Also, the study reports a strong correlation between ratings in Google.com and Booking.com

2010 Mathematics Subject Classification: 62P10.A prospective study of the relationship between some clinical parameters, genetic markers and complications of the patients with diabetes is considered. About 200 patients (male and female) have been examined. The patients are classified into five groups subject to the type of the diabetes. Data obtained for each patient are related to the type of the complications -- macro vascular, retina pathology, neuron pathology and nephrite pathology, 12 clinical parameters and 7 genetic markers. Data for the same genetic markers for 94 healthy persons (control group) are compared with those of the diabetics patients. The association of the genetic markers and the different types diabetes-related complications are investigated. A logistic regression to identify which factors are associated with the complications is performed. The associations between pathogenesis and gene genotypes are investigated for the first time for the population of diabetics in Bulgaria

The trial was carried out in the period 2017-2020 in a vine nursery located on slightly leached chernozem. The objective of the study was to investigate the opportunities of applying the contact foliar herbicides Basta 15 SL (150 g%252Fl glufosinate-ammonium) and Diqua 20 SL (200 g%252Fl diquat) as defoliants, immediately before removing the vines from the nursery (the second half of October). Their effect on the above-ground vegetative mass of the grafted rooted vines of the varieties Muscat Plevenski, Bolgar, Naslada and Storgozia was established. The herbicides were applied in different doses, once and twice at the end of the growing season with work solution of 50 l%252Fda. The strongest defoliating effect in all varieties was reported after treatment with Diqua 20 SL at a dose of 0.6 l%252Fda and the combination of Basta %2B Diqua (0.3 %2B 0.33 l%252Fda) with two applications, but in case it was not possible the second treatment to be performed, a satisfactory result might be achieved with a single application of the herbicides no later than 15 days before removing the vines from the nursery. To prove the vines capacity for development during the next growing season, the status of their buds after the treatment with the tested herbicides was determined. No negative vines response caused by this type of defoliation was found

Bulgaria’s Coverage With Local Initiative Groups – A Spatial Analysis

This research focuses on the innovative LEADER approach within the Common agricultural policy of the EU which is widely used for the decentralized and at the same time integrated development of rural regions in each member state. Theoretically, the LEADER approach is part of the endogenous theory of economic development and plays an important role in achieving the social, economic and now climatic aims as a specific European model of stimulating the inclusion of communities in local development. From a spatial point of view, the LEADER approach has been applied at the level of municipality or unified neighboring municipalities and/or neighboring settlements-part of a municipality/ies with a population between 10,000 and 150,000 inhabitants by local initiative groups (LIG). Bulgaria’s Program for the development of rural regions 2014–2020 adopts the national definition according to which rural regions are defined at the municipal level (LAU 1) and comprise the territory of 231 municipalities in which the largest town has a population of 30,000 inhabitants. The analysis of the spatial coverage of rural regions with LIG shows the negative effect of the admission of typically urban municipalities within the territories which receive funding through the LEADER network. To eliminate those inaccuracies in determining the policies for the development of rural regions, we propose and test variants to change this arguable, too streamlined and non-corresponding to scientific thought definition of a rural region

Economic Policies Of The European Union – Concordance Or Discordance?

The series of severe global and regional crises of various nature in recent decades, as well as the erratic success of the various anti-crisis measures undertaken by the European Union raise the issue of examining the concordance among the Union's economic policies. This study examines the coordination between EU’s monetary and fiscal policy to reveal that it is weak, which can be attributed to some crisis resolution shortcomings. The reasons for this incoherence can be found both in the institutional structure of the European financial institutions and in some rigid strategies of the Union (unwillingness to pursue a common fiscal policy, frugal budget spending policies, etc.

The objective of this study is to explore the influence of m-banking resource-related inadequacies on clients’ satisfaction with the banking services, their permission-based mobile marketing tendencies and word-of-mouth emission actions. Analysing a sample of 1429 users of mobile banking services, we determined that clients’ satisfaction influences their willingness to receive permission-based mobile marketing and to emit word-of-mouth, while the willingness to receive permission-based mobile marketing has a positive effect on the word-of-mouth emission. In order not to overlook the ubiquity as a distinguishing attribute of m-banking services, we observe its moderating role, identifying clients who consider ubiquity as an important m-banking characteristic and others who do not consider it relevant. Hence, attending the opinion of actual m-banking clients, this study proposes suggestions for improving the use of m-banking services by avoiding or lessening the negative effects of m-banking resource-related inadequacies
