Llenguatge teològic i evangelització

L’article enceta un camí de recerca a l’entorn del llenguatge teològic de la comunicació de la fe. Seguint la metodologia teològica de la lectura creient de la realitat, en un primer moment recull els reptes i signes d’esperança de la situació present. En un segon moment, formula els criteris teològics per donar resposta als reptes i estimular el creixement dels signes d’esperança. Finalment, en vista al futur, ofereix la metodologia i unes línies d’acció per tal de continuar el camí complex de la recerca d’un nou llenguatge de comunicació de la fe. D’aquesta manera, se situa en una de les tasques més nuclears de la teologia pastoral al nostre temps.The article opens up a new road of inquiry into the theological language of communication with respect to faith. Following the theological methodology of the «believer reading» of reality, it initially details the challenges and signs of hope that surround us now. It goes on to formulate the theological criteria with which to face up to those challenges and stimulate the growth of hopeful signs. Finally, looking to the future, it proffers a methodology and a way forward in order to continue down the complex road in the search for a new language of communication of the faith. In this way, it takes on one of the most central tasks of pastoral theology of our time

La revolució silenciosa de l’autenticitat

En aquest article, el professor Ramon Prats explora una de les categories filosòfiques i teològiques més rellevants del segle XX: l’autenticitat. Després d’un diagnòstic de la cultura actual, planteja diferents tipus d’autenticitat i formes per articular en la vida pràctiques aquesta categoria bàsica per a ésser creïbles. Idees per a un canvi d'època. Pensament independent

Aquesta col·laboració vol ser un homenatge a la llibertat de pensament del professor Rius-Camps. L’article constata la dificultat de pensar i escriure amb llibertat en el nostre temps, a causa dels condicionaments exteriors, però encara més dels condicionaments interiors subtils. Per això proposa una independència davant qualsevol tipus de dictadura intel·lectual i, també, la independència de tot tipus d’idolatria ideològica, política, econòmica o cultural. Tanmateix, atesos els límits de la independència, l’article urgeix la necessitat de madurar des del pensament in-dependent cap a un pensament inter-dependent (que escolta els altres i, especialment, els crits del dolor del món) i, també, des del pensament inter-dependent ver un pensament intra-dependent (que escolta la veu interior i explora l’univers misteriós de la persona. Conclou que la teologia ha de retrobar el seu lligam profund amb l’espiritualitat mística i amb l’acció pastoral alliberadora.This contribution is intended as a homage to the freedom of thought shown by Professor Rius-Camps. The article notes the difficulty in thinking and writing freely in the present day, because of external circumstances but, even more, because of subtle internal conditioning. Consequently, it advocates an independence from any kind of intellectual dictatorship, and also an independence from any sort of ideological, political, economic or cultural idolatry. However, noting the limits of independence, the article stresses the need to move from in-dependence of thought towards an inter-dependence (listening to others and, in particular, to the cries of distress in the world), and then from inter-dependent thought to intra-dependent thought (listening to the inner voice and exploring the mysterious universe of the individual). Prospective individual patient data meta-analysis of two randomized trials on convalescent plasma for COVID-19 outpatients

Data on convalescent plasma (CP) treatment in COVID-19 outpatients are scarce. We aimed to assess whether CP administered during the first week of symptoms reduced the disease progression or risk of hospitalization of outpatients. Two multicenter, double-blind randomized trials (NCT04621123, NCT04589949) were merged with data pooling starting when = 50 years and symptomatic for <= 7days were included. The intervention consisted of 200-300mL of CP with a predefined minimum level of antibodies. Primary endpoints were a 5-point disease severity scale and a composite of hospitalization or death by 28 days. Amongst the 797 patients included, 390 received CP and 392 placebo; they had a median age of 58 years, 1 comorbidity, 5 days symptoms and 93% had negative IgG antibody-test. Seventy-four patients were hospitalized, 6 required mechanical ventilation and 3 died. The odds ratio (OR) of CP for improved disease severity scale was 0.936 (credible interval (CI) 0.667-1.311); OR for hospitalization or death was 0.919 (CI 0.592-1.416). CP effect on hospital admission or death was largest in patients with <= 5 days of symptoms (OR 0.658, 95%CI 0.394-1.085). CP did not decrease the time to full symptom resolution
