    Evaluation of Differential Protection in a Main Power Transformer: A Case Study in PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Area of Kamojang

    The electric power system consists of various components, ranging from the components of generation, transmission, and distribution. The systems are quite expensive, so that excellent, reliable, and economic protection is needed to avoid internal and external faults.Ā  The faults can trigger damage to components, especially on the main transformers in the Power Plant Geothermal Unit 4 of the Kamojang area managed by PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy. Disturbances that occur in the main transformers of various types so that the primary protection needed in the transformer is a differential relay to protect to avoid interference that occurs. This study discusses the comparison of theoretical differential relay calculation calculations with actual differential relay setting data in the Kamojang Unit 4 Geothermal Power Plant and simulates with ETAP 12.6 software. The problem that occurs in the main transformer of the Geothermal Power Unit Unit 4 Kamojang area is the difference in the slope 1 of the actual setting data with a mathematical calculation that is the actual setting data of 40% and the numerical calculation data worth 8.5%. Please note that the minimum slope one limit is 5%. PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy made slope one changes, so that differential relays are not too sensitive to the interference current that occurs within the protection zone of differential relays

    Design of Backpack Sprayer with Electrical Pumping System Using Quality Function Development Approach to Optimize the Agricultural Facility

    This paper presents an electric back sprayer based on the attributes required by sprayer users with the Quality Function Deployment (QFD) methodology by optimizing sprayers owned by farmers. In agriculture, the process of crop management and care and pest control is carried out routinely to obtain optimal results. The technical implementation of these efforts is carried out through soil and air media by spraying the plant organs. To keep the pressure and spray results stable, continuous pumping is required. This resulted in certainly more energy needed. Based on the results of research on farmers using a sprayer, the type that is widely used is the type of back sprayer. However, in the use of back type sprayers, farmers still experience problems. Problems encountered in using a back sprayer will be reviewed and overcome by developing a sprayer based on the wishes of the farmer. The design of the back sprayer using the Quality Function Deployment (QFD) method is more appropriate to be used in determining the attributes of the development of a back sprayer following the wishes of the fertilizer sprayer user. The resulting sprayer design is expected to be able to overcome the weaknesses in the back sprayer without having to procure a new sprayer, where the problem of the non-constant pressure level in pumping can be overcome

    Protection on the territory and customary rights of Cibarani Wewengkon in Lebak Regency, Banten, Indonesia

    This study examines the influencing factors of policies related to customary rights or Wewengkon implementation in the Cibarani indigenous peoples, affecting the destruction of Leuweng Titipan Mount Liman. The protection and supervision of the Cibarani Wewengkon are regulated by the Lebak Regional Government Number 8 of 2015 concerning the Recognition, Protection, and Empowerment of the Kasepuhan Customary Law Community. However, despite getting supervision and protection, natural damage caused by unlicensed gold miners continues to wreak natural harm. As a result, two hectares of forest on Mount Liman were deforested. This research used a qualitative research approach and collected data through a literature study. The results indicated that the influencing factors of inadequate protection for the Cibarani Wewengkon are the ignorance of the Lebak Regional Government regarding the supervision and protection of the Cibarani Wewengkon. Their insensibility is induced by the issues in transmission of information or poor communication between policymakers, such as the Lebak Regency house of representative and the regent, resulting in vague details on the authority to safeguard and supervise

    Performance Analysis of Synchronous Generator: A Case Study in Steam Power Plant at PT POMI Paiton Unit 7 Probolinggo, East Java, Indonesia

    This paper presents performance analysis of synchronous generator: a case study in steam power plant PT POMI Paiton unit 7 Probolinggo, East Java, Indonesia. The steam power plant is the most powerful in Indonesia. The dominance of this type of power plant can be seen from statistical data that until the end of 2018 there were 48.43% of steam power plants out of the total installed capacity of national plants. Generators used in steam power plants are generally of the synchronous generator type, which in its operation always experiences dynamics from time to time as the load changes in electricity. In this study, an analysis of the performance of synchronous generators has been carried out concerning changes in electricity load. Synchronous generator performance analysis includes output voltage, active power, reactive power, power factor, and generator efficiency. The steam power plant in this study is the largest capacity power plant in Indonesia, thus providing an important role in the supply of electric power. Based on the results of the study, it has been shown that although the load dynamics that experience changes are very dynamic, the generator performance still has good performance

    Harmonic Analysis of 3-Phase Induction Motor at PT. Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa

    In a developing country, the rate of electricity demand is increasing along with the increasing rate of population growth and the rate of economic development of the country. With the growing development of the use of electronic technology in power systems, more and more non-linear equipment is used in the industry. This non-linear equipment can affect power quality because this non-linear load is the primary source of harmonic interference. To minimize the impact of the harmonic generation that occurs on non-linear loads such as induction motors, harmonic filter equipment is needed. This study also compared the current and voltage THD levels based on the IEEE standard and performed calculations to design a single tuned passive filter. This calculation is done because of the emergence of harmonics on a 3-phase induction motor that has exceeded the standard limit, so it must reduce the harmonics. Moreover, disturbances that occur, such as torsion vibrations caused by the interaction of the fundamental harmonic magnetic field, causing higher noise. Furthermore, it leads to additional thermal stress on electric motors, which have an impact on reducing the life of motor insulation. Based on the comparison and analysis obtained that the measured current THD still exceeds the IEEE standard limits. Then the interference that arises in the 3-phase RAW MILL induction motor will have an adverse impact if not handled correctly and adequately.

    Peranan teknologi informasi menjadi hal utama yang harus dipenuhi untuk menunjang kegiatan dalam berbagai bidang kehidupan, tidak terkecuali bidang promosi suatu produk atau jasa. Dengan penggunaan internet penyampaian informasi mengenai produk yang dipromosikan menjadi lebih mudah dan dapat diakses setiap saat dan dapat dilakukan dimana saja. Medianya pun juga telah berkembang dengan berbagai macam kemudahan, salah satunya adalah media promosi berbasis multimedia. Teknologi virtual reality merupakan salah satu teknologi yang berbasis multimedia dengan memadukan berbagai elemen multimedia. Dengan penggunaan teknologi virtual reality tersebut diharapkan dapat menunjang media promosi agar lebih interaktif, efektif dan menarik. Aplikasi yang dikembangkan merupakan perpaduan antara teknologi virtual reality dengan website. Teknologi virtual reality akan menyajikan produk mobil yang dipromosikan melalui tampilan tiga dimensi yang interaktif. Teknologi tersebut kemudian ditanamkan dalam website sehingga memungkinkan pengguna dapat mengaksesnya kapan dan dimana saja. Teknologi virtual reality dikembangkan menggunakan VRML (Virtual Reality Modelling Language) dan software pemodelan 3D 3ds Max, sedangkan aplikasi berbasis web dikembangkan menggunakan bahasa pemrograman PHP, HTML dan CSS. Aplikasi tersebut juga didukung penggunaan basis data MySQL sehingga mempermudah user dalam mengolah data. Browser yang digunakan perlu dipasangi plug-in Cortona3D Viewer agar dapat menampilkan file tiga dimensi. Hasil dari pembuatan aplikasi ini adalah terancangnya sebuah aplikasi yang menggunakan teknologi VRML untuk media promosi mobil berbasis web. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi ini menjalankan fungsionalitasnya sesuai dengan rancangan
