Nearly frozen Coulomb Liquids

We show that very long range repulsive interactions of a generalized Coulomb-like form V(R)∼R−αV(R)\sim R^{-\alpha}, with α<d\alpha<d (dd-dimensionality), typically introduce very strong frustration, resulting in extreme fragility of the charge-ordered state. An \textquotedbl{}almost frozen\textquotedbl{} liquid then survives in a broad dynamical range above the (very low) melting temperature TcT_{c} which is proportional to α\alpha. This \textquotedbl{}pseudogap\textquotedbl{} phase is characterized by unusual insulating-like, but very weakly temperature dependent transport, similar to experimental findings in certain low carrier density systems.Comment: 5 pages,4 figure

In the cycle 1, the average percentage of learning activities amounted to 80.94% and the average of learning outcomes amounted 67.9. In the cycle 2, the average percentage of learning activities amounted to 87.94% and the average of learning outcomes amounted 72.3

Revealing the impact of organic spacers and cavity cations on quasi-2D perovskites via computational simulations

Two-dimensional hybrid lead iodide perovskites based on methylammonium (MA) cation and butylammonium (BA) organic spacer—such as BA2MAn−1PbnI3n+1—are one of the most explored 2D hybrid perovskites in recent years. Correlating the atomistic profile of these systems with their optoelectronic properties is a challenge for theoretical approaches. Here, we employed first-principles calculations via density functional theory to show how the cation partially canceled dipole moments through the NH3+ terminal impact the structural/electronic properties of the PbnI3n+1 sublattices. Even though it is known that at high temperatures, the organic cation assumes a spherical-like configuration due to the rotation of the cations inside the cage, our results discuss the correct relative orientation according to the dipole moments for ab initio simulations at 0 K, correlating well structural and electronic properties with experiments. Based on the combination of relativistic quasiparticle correction and spin-orbit coupling, we found that the MA horizontal-like configuration concerning the inorganic sublattice surface leads to the best relationship between calculated and experimental gap energy throughout n = 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 number of layers. Conversely, the dipole moments cancellation (as in BA-MA aligned-like configuration) promotes the closing of the gap energies through an electron depletion mechanism. We found that the anisotropy → isotropy optical absorption conversion (as a bulk convergence) is achieved only for the MA horizontal-like configuration, which suggests that this configuration contribution is the majority in a scenario under temperature effects

Sensing Molecules with Metal–Organic Framework Functionalized Graphene Transistors

    Get PDF
Graphene is inherently sensitive to vicinal dielectrics and local charge distributions, a property that can be probed by the position of the Dirac point in graphene field-effect transistors. Exploiting this as a useful sensing principle requires selectivity; however, graphene itself exhibits no molecule-specific interaction. Complementarily, metal–organic frameworks can be tailored to selective adsorption of specific molecular species. Here, a selective ethanol sensor is demonstrated by growing a surface-mounted metal–organic framework (SURMOF) directly onto graphene field-effect transistors (GFETs). Unprecedented shifts of the Dirac point, as large as 15 V, are observed when the SURMOF/GFET is exposed to ethanol, while a vanishingly small response is observed for isopropanol, methanol, and other constituents of the air, including water. The synthesis and conditioning of the hybrid materials sensor with its functional characteristics are described and a model is proposed to explain the origin, magnitude, and direction of the Dirac point voltage shift. Tailoring multiple SURMOFs to adsorb specific gases on an array of such devices thus generates a versatile, selective, and highly sensitive platform for sensing applications

    Bali Hotel Reviews Dataset

    No full text
The dataset comprises a curated collection of hotel reviews obtained from multiple hotels in Bali, Indonesia. These reviews have been systematically labeled based on six distinct aspects of the hotels, namely Value, Accessibility, Service, Room, Cleanliness, and Sleep Quality. The primary objective of this dataset is to facilitate the classification of consumer reviews, thereby enabling the development of a recommendation system based on natural language processing (NLP). The data was acquired through a web scraping process using the Google Chrome's Web Scraper Extension on the Tripadvisor platform. Researchers can utilize this dataset for various NLP tasks, including hotel reviews classification and related analyzes

The research method used was experimental research which produced a reference book in the form of a research monograph. This monograph was validated by physics education lecturers, educators, and physics education students. Data collection techniques were carried out by collecting questionnaires in the form of expert validation sheets (material and media), educator / lecturer response sheets, and student response sheets. The data obtained from the validation test are in the form of a percentage of the validity of the monograph from the validation of two material experts and two media experts, the average score are 91% and 90%. The monograph test by three educators and the response test by 15 students the average score are 89% and 88%. The results of the validation test of the material expert, media expert, educators response, and the response of the students are the very good so that it can be concluded that the monograph product can be used as a learning media in the form of reference books in vibration and wave learning
