The Implication of Groups with Direct Influences on Political Decision-Making: It’s a Chance to Stoke up Governments’ Role?

In this work we present a model basis on Bernheim-Whinston model, which considers that political decisions are the result of various interactions between groups with direct influence (GDI) on political decision making. According to our approach, this model stokes up government role which consists in to strengthen not only the competitiveness amongst lobbies which occurs in an flawed market and non-market and political framework, but also in the creation of counterweight power among the aforementioned lobbies, therefore a explicit regulation is required to give an efficient response to rapid politician market changes.flawed state, political decision-making, groups with direct influence (GDI), competitiveness, counterweight powers, and explicit regulation.

This study is about the interactions between GDI and government under political pressure, in a context with an agency relationship and the existence of relevant information. In particular, interactions are studied when the agency relationship is with symmetric information and it is build a research model of the GDI-government interactions in a context with an agency relationship and asymmetric information, where groups can operate in a competitive or cooperative manner. The model highlights that government expectations of utility are higher when the GDI works together, and the benefit when the GDI makes pressure in an independent way is limited to the reserve. Cooperation establishes a type of relations based on credibility that benefit to the government and the GIDI, and this will help to strengthen those linksGroups with Direct Influence (GDI), Political Pressure, Lobby (-ing), Agency Relationship, Symmetric and Asymmetric information

Effects of activist shareholding on corporate social responsibility reporting practices: an empirical study in Spain

    Get PDF
New business practices are mainly characteristic of large firms especially those quoted on the stock market. Listed companies show a higher commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR) practices because capital markets allow activists to become a firm's socially oriented shareholders. These actors although small in number have a significant influence over other larger block-holders. Recent decades have witnessed a significant increase in societal pressure to control the behavior of companies owing to the risks deriving from the economic social and environmental effects of their business activity. The aim of this work is to test the effect that CSR activist shareholders have on the decision to disclose corporate social responsibility information in the Spanish context controlling for the rest of the dimensions in Ullmann's theoretical framework.

Impact of DM direct searches and the LHC analyses on branon phenomenology

    Get PDF
Dark Matter direct detection experiments are able to exclude interesting parameter space regions of particle models which predict an important amount of thermal relics. We use recent data to constrain the branon model and to compute the region that is favored by CDMS measurements. Within this work, we also update present colliders constraints with new studies coming from the LHC. Despite the present low luminosity, it is remarkable that for heavy branons, CMS and ATLAS measurements are already more constraining than previous analyses performed with TEVATRON and LEP data.Comment: 17 pages, 2 figure

Maximal cluster sets of L-analytic functions along arbitrary curves

    Get PDF
Let Ω be a domain in the N-dimensional real space, L be an elliptic differential operator, and (Tn) be a sequence whose members belong to a certain class of operators defined on the space of L-analytic functions on Ω. It is proved in this paper the existence of a dense linear manifold of L-analytic functions all of whose nonzero members have maximal cluster sets under the action of every Tn along any curve ending at the boundary of Ω such that its ω-limit does not contain any component of the boundary. The above class contains all partial differentiation operators ∂ α, hence the statement extends earlier results due to Boivin, Gauthier and Paramonov, and to the first, third and fourth authors.Plan Andaluz de Investigación (Junta de Andalucía)Ministerio de Ciencia y TecnologíaFondo Europeo de Desarrollo Regiona

Universal Taylor series with maximal cluster sets

    Get PDF
We link the overconvergence properties of certain Taylor series in the unit disk to the maximality of their cluster sets, so connecting outer wild behavior to inner wild behavior. Specifically, it is proved the existence of a dense linear manifold of holomorphic functions in the disk that are, except for zero, universal Taylor series in the sense of Nestoridis and, simultaneously, have maximal cluster sets along many curves tending to the boundary. Moreover, it is constructed a dense linear manifold of universal Taylor series having, for each boundary point, limit zero along some path which is tangent to the corresponding radius. Finally, it is proved the existence of a closed infinite dimensional manifold of holomorphic functions enjoying the two-fold wild behavior specified at the beginning

LA ORIENTACIÓN PROFESIONAL PEDAGÓGICA DESDE EL PROCESO DE EXTENSIÓN UNIVERSITARIA EN EL CUM TAGUASCO

    Get PDF
