Fluoreszenzfarbstoffe mit großen Stokes-Shifts. Lösliche Dihydropyrrolopyrroldione

Die Synthese von 3,6-Diaryl-2,5-dihydropyrrolo[3,4-c]pyrrol-1,4-dionen 1a-d und 3,6-Diaryl-2,5-dihydro-2,5-dimethylpyrrolo[3,4-c]pyrrol-1,4-dionen e-h wird beschrieben. Durch Einführen von tert-Butylgruppen in die Arylreste werden leichtlösliche Fluoreszenzfarbstoffe erhalten. Über den Mechanismus einer konformativen Umwandlung nach der Anregung werden Stokes-Shifts bis zu 70 nm bei Fluoreszenzquantenausbeuten von bis zu 95% erzielt

The Relation between Packing Effects and Solid State Fluorescence of Dyes

The solid state fluorescence of diketopyrrolopyrrole dyes and perylene-3,4:9,10- tetracarboxylic bisimides with alkyl substituents are investigated and compared with noncovalent interactions. The latter are estimated by crystal structure analysis, heats and entropies of fusion and solubilities in organic solvents. Applications of the dyes are discussed

Jan Stur’s literary works towards expressionism

Celem niniejszej pracy jest analiza twórczości Jana Stura w odniesieniu do ekspresjonizmu – prądu literackiego, który w Polsce lat 20. XX w. związany był z czasopismem „Zdrój”. Nurt ten dzieli swe korzenie między dorobek polskiego romantyzmu oraz rozwijające się pod koniec XIX w. ekspresjonizm niemiecki i preekspresjonizm młodopolski. Dzieła Jana Stura, poety, krytyka literackiego oraz twórcy tekstów z zakresu teorii ekspresjonizmu pozwalają na pokazanie, w jaki sposób ten interesujący nurt przejawia się w twórczości jego konkretnego reprezentanta. W pracy dokonano analizy tekstów programowych, krytycznoliterackich oraz poetyckich artysty, wskazując na wyznawane przez Stura idee i ich wpływ na pracę twórczą; zwrócono również uwagę na wykorzystane motywy literackie związane z nurtem. W aneksie edytorskim przedstawiono edycję tomu poetyckiego Triumfy. Przełomu część IV.The aim of this study is to analyze Jan Stur’s creative output towards the expressionism – artistic trend, which in Poland in the interwar years was related to magazine “Zdrój”. The trend was based on works of Polish romanticism, German version of expressionism and modernist Polish pre-expressionism. Works of Jan Stur: poet, literary critic and author of theoretical texts about the expressionism allow to indicate how this trend manifests in the output of its representative. The study mentions all creative works of the artist and shows how Stur’s ideas referred to his output. The edition of Jan Stur’s volume of verses entitled Triumfy. About the Situation of Polish Illustrators of Contemporary Children's Book

Praca porusza problem współczesnego polskiego ilustratorstwa książki dziecięcej, zwłaszcza miejsca ilustratora współczesnej książki obrazowej dla najmłodszych na polskim i zagranicznym rynku wydawniczym. Na przykładach nagradzanych polskich autorów szeroko pojętej ilustracji dla dzieci przedstawiono sukcesy oraz problemy tego sektora rynku. Zwrócono uwagę zarówno na niedostępność pewnych pozycji książkowych w kraju, jak i na prężną działalność małych wydawnictw dziecięcych oraz rosnącą liczbę nagradzanych polskich publikacji dziecięcych. Omówiono również przyczyny wyborów czytelniczych w omawianym zakresie.The essay concerns the contemporary children's book illustration, especially the place of the modern children's picturebook illustrator on the publishing market in Poland and abroad. It presents the successes and the problems of this part of the market, by using the examples of rewarded Polish authors of widely understood children's illustrations. It mentions the lack of some titles in Poland as well as dynamical activity of small publishers specialized in literature for the youngest and increasing number of rewarded Polish publications dedicated to them. It also refers to the reasons of the customer's choices in the discussed area

How much is the view from the window worth?: Machine learning-driven hedonic pricing model of the real estate market

Understanding the customers’ perception of the value of constituent characteristics of a good is among the key questions in any pricing strategy. Hedonic pricing allows such an analysis and is frequently applied in economic fields. Although it is regarded as a benchmark in its original form, the availability of new data sources and the development of machine learning techniques created a space for further improvement. In this study, we propose a general framework for applying machine learning tools to enhance the hedonic pricing model in several directions. We do this, first, by adding image and text sources to conventional data and then by applying an advanced nonparametric prediction model. Lastly, we use model agnostic analysis to uncover new pricing factors and unravel complex relationships that could not be captured by conventional models
