Isospin Dependence of Proton and Neutron Radii within Relativistic Mean Field Theory

The binding energies, shapes and sizes of even-even beta-stable nuclei with A >= 40 and a few chains of isotopes with Z=50, 56, 82, 94 protons and isotones with N=50, 82, 126 neutrons are analyzed. The average isospin dependence of the radii of protons and neutrons evaluated within the relativistic mean field theory is studied. Simple Formula for Nuclear Charge Radius

A new formula for the nuclear charge radius is proposed, dependent on the mass number (A) and neutron excess (N-Z) in the nucleus. "Playing the Brussels game: Strategic socialisation in the CFSP Council Working Groups*"

The aim of this article is to analyse the process of socialisation taking place at the level of the Council Working Groups (CWGs) dealing with the Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP). Based on recent empirical evidence, this article explains the main codes of conduct adopted by the national diplomats in the CFSP CWGs, such as the reflex coordination or consensus-building practice. Compliance with these rules stems from strategic calculations based on legitimacy concerns and the long-term perspective of the negotiations. Hence, in this case, the internalisation of norms has not taken place yet. Even though this view may suggest a conceptualisation of national representatives in the CWGs as passive “national champions”, it is argued here that they might also play a role in influencing the position of their capitals, mainly through the process of formulating the instructions

The Deadlock that never Happened: the Impact of Enlargement on the Common Foreign and Security Policy Council Working Groups

Contrary to some previous assumptions, the enlargement did not halt the Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP) decision-making process in a substantial way. Rather it changed the dynamics within the working environment, preserving the importance of consensus-building practices in the Council working groups. The aim of this article is twofold. First, it tracks the changes that the recent enlargement caused in the working practices of the Council working groups. Interaction Strengths for the Fock-Space Formulation of the Nuclear Pairing Problem

A realistic nuclear mean-field hamiltonian with pairing has been diagonalized using Fock space representation that allows for nearly exact treatment of the problem. Calculations were performed for all the even-even nuclei with Z in (20, 100), whose pairing gaps were possible to extract out of the experimental masses. Our article presents not just a review of the traditional month names in the Chulym Turkic dialects, but also its analysis from a lexical, etymological, semantic and ethnographic point of view
