    No presente trabalho, dados sobre Ephemeroptera e Trichoptera (ET) de um riacho de cerrado foram analisados, com o objetivo de testar a hipótese de que a alta sazonalidade neste bioma pode alterar a composição de ET entre as estações chuvosas e de seca. A estrutura da comunidade foi avaliada utilizando a Análise de Correspondência Destendenciada e a Análise de Agrupamento (Morisita-Horn, UPGMA). Os fatores ambientais foram submetidos à Análise de Componentes Principais. Para testar a influência das variáveis abióticas sobre a fauna, foram utilizados o Procrustean Randomization Test (Protest) e o Teste de Mantel. Os fatores ambientais registrados influenciaram significativamente a fauna de ET do Córrego do Pedregulho. A similaridade faunística foi alta ao longo do ano, indicando que, apesar de a densidade flutuar em resposta à variação da precipitação, a composição faunística apresentou baixa variabilidade temporal. Por outro lado, foi possível constatar que o gênero Lachlania (Ephemeroptera) ocorreu, preferencialmente, nos meses chuvosos e que a composição da fauna da estação seca variou menos do que aquela das demais estações. Portanto, a sazonalidade ambiental afetou parcialmente a composição da fauna de ET do Córrego do Pedregulho.Abstract In this paper, data on the fauna of Ephemeroptera and Trichoptera (ET) from a Cerrado stream was analysed in order to test the hypothesis that the high seasonality of this biome can influence the composition of ET between the wet and dry seasons. The community structure was evaluated using Detrended Correspondence Analysis and Cluster Analysis (Morisita Horn-UPGMA). Environmental factors were analyzed using the Principal Components Analysis. In order to test the effect of abiotic variables on the fauna, It was applied the Procrustean Randomization Test (Protest) and Mantel Test. The environmental factors recorded for this study had a significant effect on the ET fauna from Córrego do Pedregulho. Faunal similarity was high throughout the year, indicating that although there was density of fluctuation, due to rainfall variation, the faunal composition showed little temporal variability. On the other hand, it was possible to observe that the genus Lachlania (Ephemeroptera) occurred preferably during the rainy months and that the faunal composition during the dry season was less variable than those from other seasons. Therefore, environmental seasonality had a partial effect on the faunal composition of ET from Córrego do Pedregulho

    Austrolimnius cleidecostae sp. nov. is one of the smallest species of Elmidae from the Neotropical region. The new species is described and illustrated based on male and female specimens. This species represents the first record in Elmidae of mandibles with an articulated, sclerotized process on inner subapical edge. The specimens were collected from streams in the Atlantic rainforest of São Paulo and Santa Catarina, and habitat notes are given. An updated key for the Austrolimnius Carter & Zeck, 1929 of Brazil is provided. Austrolimnis browni Hinton, 1971 and A. musgravei Hinton, 1939 are recorded for the first time from Brazil

Paraná (PR), Foz do Iguaçu, Cataratas: 1 female, 8.iii. 1968, W. L. & J. G. Peters (NMNH). Remarks. The redescriptions and comments about this species can be found in the papers of Zwick (1972, 1973), Froehlich (2002) and Baldin et al. (2013). The adult males studied here have a forewing length of 11.1–12.1 mm. The structure of the penial armature (Figs. 3–5) agrees with Zwick (1972) and Baldin et al. (2013). However, in several of the above listed males, the penial armature is slightly smaller and has a stronger dorsal inclination apically. The penial differences at this time are accepted as variation occurring in A. debilis. This specimen is heavily damaged and does not have the head, but all the other characteristics agree with the original description of Anacroneuria cathia (Froehlich, 2002). The adult male studied here has a forewing length of 12.2 mm.     Kempnyia neotropica (Jacobson and Bianchi, 1905) Figs. 31–37. Material examined: BR, PR, Morretes: 2 males, 1 female, 11.i. 2012, M. C. Novaes & M. P. B. Bertolucci. Remarks. The above males have a forewing length of 10.1 –11.0 mm and the female of 15.5 mm. The head is pale laterally (Fig. 31) and the wings are milky, resembling K. petersorum (Froehlich, 1996) and differing from the common color pattern of K. neotropica. The subgenital plates of the male (Fig. 32) and female (Fig. 37) and the penial armature (Figs. 33–35), agree with the concept of K. neotropica as presented by Bispo & Froehlich (2008). Therefore, at this time, we accept the above noted differences as variation exhibited by K. neotropica.     Gripopterygidae (Plecoptera) from Paranapiacaba mountains, southeastern Brazil

    In the present paper, adults of the family Gripopterygidae collected in Paranapiacaba mountains are analyzed, the new species are described and a key to species of this family from this area is presented. Twenty one species in four genera of Gripopterygidae are recorded in Paranapiacaba mountains, São Paulo State, Brazil. Gripopteryx comprises six species: Gripopteryx cancellata, Gripopteryx reticulata, Gripopteryx garbei, Gripopteryx coruja, Gripopteryx pinima and Gripopteryx flinti. Paragripopteryx is represented by eight species: Paragripopteryx klapaleki, Paragripopteryx anga, Paragripopteryx blanda, Paragripopteryx egena, Paragripopteryx hamata and three new species: Paragripopteryx intervalensis, Paragripopteryx kapilei and Paragripopteryx paranapiacabae. Tupiperla is represented by six species: Tupiperla gracilis, Tupiperla tessellata, Tupiperla eleonorae, Tupiperla umbya and two new species, Tupiperla amandae and Tupiperla froehlichi.
