    Petrography and Mineral Chemistry of Tourmaline in Molla Taleb Ganitoid, Northeast of Aligudarz (Lorestan Province)

    Molla Taleb pegmatites (northeast of Aligudarz) are located in the western part of the metamorphic-igneous Sanandaj-Sirjan Zone (SSZ). Slates and schists along with siliceous veins and veinlet and black Hornfels, as well as metamorphic sandstones are among the oldest deposits of this area. The most important geological event in this area is the development and intrusion of granitoid masses into schists of the Molla Taleb area during the Middle Jurassic. The rocks of the study area are in the range of gabbro, diorite, granodiorite, and granite. Granites are in the range of type-I granites. Most specimens are calc-alkaline and mainly contain peraluminous. Microprobe electron analysis of tourmalines present in pegmatites, tourmaline- aplite-pegmatite veins, nodular tourmalines, and quartz-tourmaline veins shows that all tourmalines are in the Schorl region and the range of alkaline tourmalines. These tourmalines with FeO / FeO + MgO ratios between 0.6 and 0.8 are in the range of magmatic-hydrothermal tourmalines and more than 0.8 in the magmatic range. Therefore, the studied tourmalines are dependent on granite environments and are formed by a hydrothermal fluid of magmatic origin

    A Method Based on Ultrasound-assisted Solidification of Floating Drop Microextraction Technique for the Spectrophotometric Determination of Curcumin in Turmeric Powder

    A method based on the ultrasound-assisted solidification of floating drop microextraction technique was developed for the spectrophotometric and spectrofluorimetric determination of curcumin in turmeric powder. In this work a small volume of an organic solvent was floated on the surface of an aqueous solution. After sonication the organic solvent is solidified and separated. The effect of extraction parameters such as type and the volume of organic solvent, temperature, salt addition and exposure time, on the extraction recovery was investigated and optimized. Finally, the method droplet was used for the determination of analyte. Under the optimum extraction conditions, a linear range of 0.006–30 μg mL-1 and a relative standard deviation (RSD) of 2.72% for curcumin wasachieved. Limits of detection of 7 and 2 ng mL-1 curcumin was obtained for the spectrophotometric and spectrofluometric methods, respectively. The obtained results show that the application of this method can be successful for the analysis of curcumin in turmeric powder samples

    An extended technology acceptance model for detecting influencing factors: An empirical investigation

    The rapid diffusion of the Internet has radically changed the delivery channels applied by the financial services industry. The aim of this study is to identify the influencing factors that encourage customers to adopt online banking in Khorramabad. The research constructs are developed based on the technology acceptance model (TAM) and incorporates some extra important control variables. The model is empirically verified to study the factors influencing the online banking adoption behavior of 210 customers of Tejarat Banks in Khorramabad. The findings of the study suggest that the quality of the internet connection, the awareness of online banking and its benefits, the social influence and computer self-efficacy have significant impacts on the perceived usefulness (PU) and perceived ease of use (PEOU) of online banking acceptance. Trust and resistance to change also have significant impact on the attitude towards the likelihood of adopting online banking

    Iranian midwives’ knowledge of and attitudes toward female genital mutilation/cutting (FGM/C)

    Introduction: Female genital mutilation/cutting (FGM/C) is globally recognized as a violation of the human rights of females. It has no health benefits and harms those who undergo the procedure. Midwives are therefore expected to be aware of how to manage these consequences and play a key role in the prevention of the practice. The aim of the present study was to evaluate the level of Iranian midwives’ knowledge of and attitudes toward FGM/C. Methods: A total of 168 midwives were enrolled in our descriptive study. The data were collected using a researcher-made questionnaire whose validity was confirmed by specialists. The data were analyzed by SPSS 21.0 software using descriptive statistics and Pearson correlation coefficient. Results: Only 20.23% of participants had good knowledge about FGM/C, and knowledge of 3.58% of participants was weak. There was no correlation between knowledge and demographic characteristics of participants. Conclusions: The average level of participants’ knowledge and mixed attitudes toward FGM/C indicate a need to develop effective strategies to increase knowledge of midwives and improving their attitude toward FGM/

    Recognition and Determination of Related Traits Importance with Seed Yield in Chickpea (Cicer Aietinum)

    To study the relationship between seed yield and its components 5 varieties and 18 different genotypes of Cicer arietinum were evaluated. This study was carried out under dryland farming during 2007 in research farm of Razi university. Path analysis showed that in the first level of yield, the highest direct effect was related to biological yield and the highest indirect effect was related to seed number per plant due to biological yield. In second level of yield due to the seed number per plant double seed pod number had the highest direct effect and the highest indirect effect was related to hundreds seed weight due to double the seed pod number. In second level of yield due to biological yield, the highest direct effect was related to high plant and the highest indirect effect was related to high plant due to second branch number. In the third level of yield due to a hundred seed weight, the highest direct effect was related to pod diameter and the highest indirect effect was related to pod length due to pod diameter. Factor analysis showed that 5 factors explained 81.65 percent of the variance. Cluster analysis based on ward method were arranged genotypes in 3 clusters
