New Urea Derivatives Are Effective Anti-senescence Compounds Acting Most Likely via a Cytokinin-Independent Mechanism

Stress-induced senescence is a global agro-economic problem. Cytokinins are considered to be key plant anti-senescence hormones, but despite this practical function their use in agriculture is limited because cytokinins also inhibit root growth and development. We explored new cytokinin analogs by synthesizing a series of 1,2,3-thiadiazol-5-yl urea derivatives. The most potent compound, 1-(2-methoxy-ethyl)-3-1,2,3-thiadiazol-5-yl urea (ASES - Anti-Senescence Substance), strongly inhibited dark-induced senescence in leaves of wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) and Arabidopsis thaliana. The inhibitory effect of ASES on wheat leaf senescence was, to the best of our knowledge, the strongest of any known natural or synthetic compound. In vivo, ASES also improved the salt tolerance of young wheat plants. Interestingly, ASES did not affect root development of wheat and Arabidopsis, and molecular and classical cytokinin bioassays demonstrated that ASES exhibits very low cytokinin activity. A proteomic analysis of the ASES-treated leaves further revealed that the senescence-induced degradation of photosystem II had been very effectively blocked. Taken together, our results including data from cytokinin content analysis demonstrate that ASES delays leaf senescence by mechanism(s) different from those of cytokinins and, more effectively. No such substance has yet been described in the literature, which makes ASES an interesting tool for research of photosynthesis regulation. Its simple synthesis and high efficiency predetermine ASES to become also a potent plant stress protectant in biotechnology and agricultural industries

Z hrubé analýzy současné ekonomické situace církví v ČR vyplývá, že je nutné co nejdříve rozhodnout o rozsahu restituovaného církevního majetku. Z hlediska financování běžných církevních aktivit by bylo nejvhodnější využít zkušeností ze sousedních zemí, a to v souvislosti s připravovanou změnou v daňové soustavě ČR. Současný ekonomický stav církví je k velké škodě jak na majetku, tak na absenci morálně prospěšných aktivit, které tato společnost nutně potřebuje a které by mohly církve dobře vykonávat, pokud jim k tomu budou poskytnuty nejnutnější ekonomické podmínky

Příjmy rozpočtů okresních úřadů

The most significant revenues of district officies are those from taxes of physical persons. Revenues from this tax in budgets of three districts are balanced in years 1994-96. They fluctuated from 847 CZK to 1 004 CZK per one inhabiant in absolute value. However the income of this tax is 18 % under for the allstate average. Revenues from administrate fees fluctuated between 15-20 CZK per one inhabitant and they do not have significant influence among incomes of district offices. Revenues of district offices from the state budget are increasing while the incomes from physical person s taxes are falling down. For instance, in 1996 the revenue of District office Chrudim from taxes paid by physical persons per one inhabitant was 947 CZK and the revenues from state subsidies were 4 595 CZK. It means that there is a great second redistribution of finances which is not demanding or what is the evidence of not execellently determined budgest rules

Hlavním cílem diplomové práce je vyvinutí kontinuálně pracujícího drtiče, s minimem podílů nežádoucích frakcí. V práci jsou popsané možné varianty řešení a jejich vyhodnocení. V další části diplomové práce je popsán vybraný drtič a vyhodnocení jeho účinnosti ve výrobě a následné úpravy pro dosažení kladných výsledků. Další část práce porovnává vlastnosti vyvinutého drtiče s klasicky využívanými drtiči v úpravně hnědého uhlí.This diploma thesis shows the meaning and methods of crushing materials. It describes the devices that are used for crushing. The main goal of the diploma thesis is the development of a continuously working crusher, with minimal proportions of undesirable fractions. The thesis describes the possible solutions and their evaluation. In the next part of the diploma thesis the selected crusher is described and the evaluation of its efficiency in production and subsequent modifications to achieve positive results. Článek přináší historický přehled hygienické a protiepidemiologické péče v ghettu Terezín v době druhé světové války a osvobození ghetta. Představuje také nejčastější infekční onemocnění a hygienická a protiepidemiologická opatření v tomto zařízení. Data byla získána metodou obsahové analýzy primárních zdrojů. Na základě těchto dat jsme vytvořili přehledovou studii.The article is a historical overview of hygienic and epidemiological care in the Terezin ghetto during the 2nd Word war and during the liberation of the ghetto. It also presents the most common infectious diseases and hygiene and anti-epidemic measures in that place. Facts were obtained using content analysis of primary sources.
