Self-determination of youth and traditional moral values: the role of Russian literature

    Get PDF
The article aims to prove the assumption that along with the known approaches to encouraging cultural diversity in education (critical, pluralistic, acculturation), a new methodological approach should be defined – that of forming the culturally-oriented world-view on the basis of personal self-determination in the traditional moral values, as represented in the national culture. The authors present their own definition of traditional moral values and analyse the way they are reflected in the classical Russian literature. The authors present the results of a field study designed to determine whether this reflective tradition is followed or interrupted in the modern Russian prose in the end of ХХth – beginning of XXIst centuries

An unexpected Ireland–Claisen rearrangement cascade during the synthesis of the tricyclic core of Curcusone C: Mechanistic elucidation by trial-and-error and automatic artificial force-induced reaction (AFIR) computations

    Get PDF
In the course of a total synthesis effort directed toward the natural product curcusone C, the Stoltz group discovered an unexpected thermal rearrangement of a divinylcyclopropane to the product of a formal Cope/1,3-sigmatropic shift sequence. Since the involvement of a thermally forbidden 1,3-shift seemed unlikely, theoretical studies involving two approaches, the “trial-and-error” testing of various conceivable mechanisms (Houk group) and an “automatic” approach using the Maeda–Morokuma AFIR method (Morokuma group) were applied to explore the mechanism. Eventually, both approaches converged on a cascade mechanism shown to have some partial literature precedent: Cope rearrangement/1,5-sigmatropic silyl shift/Claisen rearrangement/retro-Claisen rearrangement/1,5-sigmatropic silyl shift, comprising a quintet of five sequential thermally allowed pericyclic rearrangements

The origin of enantioselectivity for intramolecular Friedel–Crafts reaction catalyzed by supramolecular Cu/DNA catalyst complex

    Get PDF
The present theoretical investigation aims at understanding the origin of enantioselectivity of intramolecular Friedel–Crafts reaction, catalyzed by supramolecular Cu/DNA catalyst. 28 Conformations of the supramolecular L-Cu(II)-R/d(CAAAAATTTTTG)2 complex were thoroughly modeled to estimate their stability and structural features depending on the metal complex conformation and its intercalation position. The preferred formation of S-product can be rationalized by the higher binding energy of pro-S conformations to DNA. Pro-S conformations are structurally closer to the expected C3–C2′ bond formation TS and usually not deeply buried into DNA, which would facilitate TS formation by decreasing the energy for conformational changes

CONSUMER’S SATISFACTION OF MEDICAL LABORATORY SERVICES IN OUTPATIENT CARE IN MUNICIPALITY VARNA.

The purpose of the medical laboratory service is to satisfy the needs of the patient and the community, which determines the social aspect of healthcare. Achieving real quality in the health system aims to provide and maintain a good level of health, functional capacity and patient satisfaction. Medical diagnostic tests have a key role in monitoring the pathological process, which is a set of measures and activities for prevention of the emergence, development and spread of diseases in people

POSSIBLE BENEFITS FOR THE HEALTH SYSTEM OF THE IMPLEMENTATION OF INTEGRATED CARE.

Global processes and the development of macro factors in health over the last 10 years have increasingly greater pressure on changing health systems towards integration and the provision of integrated health and social services. Improving coordination and communication structures in health systems is crucial to improve the effectiveness and benefits in the process of introduction of integrated care. As an essential element of the reform of health systems internationally "integrated care" seeks to overcome the traditional division between health and social care. Due to the shift of care from inpatient to outpatient treatment, integrated care is becoming more valuable as a way to meet the care needs in the community. The aim is to present the benefits of integrated care as a conception in research and practical plan

CURRENT TRENDS IN THE PRACTICE OF LABORATORY MEDICINE.

The paper present the perspectives and the possible benefits of the POCT tests, conducted outside of the clinical laboratories. Laboratory tests are objective in their character, which is one of the main reasons for the constant increase in the number of laboratory tests. The fast development of the technology in clinical laboratories, leads to the constant introduction of new markers, as well as the methods and equipment for the establishment of their values. Moving the laboratory diagnostics closer to the patient’s location (point of care testing) is a new tendency in the policy of health care. The tendency may be applied and is expanding, because of the fast development of biotechnologies. In a worldwide scale, POCT is essential for the public health care
