On Charmonia Survival Above Deconfinement
We study charmonium correlators and spectral functions at zero and finite
temperature using anisotropic lattices at several different lattice spacings.
We find evidence for survival of 1S charmonia states at leas till and
dissolution of 1P states at .Comment: contribution to the 29th Johns Hopkins Workshop in Theoretical

Free energy of a static quark anti-quark pair and the renormalized Polyakov loop in three flavor QCD
We study the free energy of a static quark anti-quark pair at finite
temperature in three flavor QCD with degenerate quark masses using N_tau=4 and
6 lattices with Asqtad staggered fermion action. The static free energy was
calculated for different values of the quark mass and the entropy contribution
at large distances has been extracted. We also calculate the renormalized
Polyakov loop following the approach by Kaczmarek et al.Comment: RevTeX, 7 pages, 8 figures; Minor corrections, added referenc
Z(3) Symmetric Dimensional Reduction of (2+1)D QCD
Here we present a candidate for a Z(3)-symmetric reduced action for the
description of the (2+1)D SU(3) gauge theoryComment: 2 pages, Statistical QCD pro
QCD with Adjoint Scalars in 2D: Properties in the Colourless Scalar Sector
We present a numerical study of an SU(3) gauged 2D model for adjoint scalar
fields, defined by dimensional reduction of pure gauge QCD in (2+1)D at high
temperature. In the symmetric phase of its global Z_2 symmetry, two colourless
boundstates, even and odd under Z_2, are identified. Their respective
contributions (poles) in correlation functions of local composite operators A_n
of degree n=2p and 2p+1 in the scalar fields (p=1,2) fulfill factorization. The
contributions of two particle states (cuts) are detected. Their size agrees
with estimates based on a meanfield-like decomposition of the p=2 operators
into polynomials in p=1 operators. No sizable signal in any A_n correlation can
be attributed to 1/n times a Debye screening length associated with n
elementary fields. These results are quantitatively consistent with the picture
of scalar ``matter'' fields confined within colourless boundstates whose
residual ``strong'' interactions are very weak.Comment: 27 pages, improved presentation of results and some references added,

Hadron multiplicities in e+e- annihilation with heavy primary quarks
The multiple hadron production in the events induced by the heavy primary
quarks in annihilation is reconsidered with account of corrected
experimental data. New value for the multiplicity in events is
presented on the basis of pQCD estimates.Comment: 16 pages, 6 figures. Version accepted for publication in EPJ
Screening Masses in Dimensionally Reduced (2+1)D Gauge Theory
We discuss the screening masses and residue factorisation of the SU(3) (2+1)D
theory in the dimensional reduction formalism. The phase structure of the
reduced model is also investigated.Comment: 3 pages, Lattice 2001(gaugetheories
Cyclic phase in F=2 spinor condensate: Long-range order, kinks, and roughening transition
We study the effect of thermal fluctuations on homogeneous infinite
Bose-Einstein condensate with spin F=2 in the cyclic state, when atoms occupy
three hyperfine states with . We use both the approach of
small-amplitude oscillations and mapping of our model on the sine-Gordon model.
We show that thermal fluctuations lead to the existence of the rough phase in
one- and two-dimensional systems, when presence of kinks is favorable. The
structure and energy of a single kink are found. We also discuss the effect of
thermal fluctuations on spin degrees of freedom in F=1 condensate.Comment: 6 pages, 1 figure; final version, accepted for publication in Phys.
