HEALTH PROMOTING SCHOOL: AÍ INTERDISCIPLINARY AND INTERSECTORIAL CONSTRUCTION

The constructions of the concept and project of the Health Promoting School are approached from the standpoint of ~e Health Promotion, as it is understood in the Ottawa Declaration of 1986. The main focus are the aspects of interdisciplinarity and intersectoriality. These constructions are seen as a concrete possibility, considering the reality of the implementation of the National Curriculum Parameters in Brazil and the possibility ofunderstanding individual and collective health as a resource that makes easier for people to control their own lives.As construções do conceito e do projeto de Escola Promotora da Saúde são trabalhadas sob a Ática da Promoção da Saúde, a partir das concepções da Carta de Ottawa de 1986, enfocandose, predominantemente os aspectos de interdisciplinaridade e intersetorialidade. Estas construções são vistas como uma possibilidade concreta, levando-se em conta a realidade daimplantação dos Parametros Curriculares Nacionais no Brasil e da possibilidade de se entender a saúde dos indivíduos e das coletividades como um recurso que favorece às pessoas o controle de suas vidas

Resgate histórico do controle do tabagismo na Faculdade de Saúde Pública da Universidade de São Paulo: relato de uma experiência The trajectory of tobacco control in the School of Public Health of the University of São Paulo: report on an experience

A ação da Faculdade de Saúde Pública da Universidade de São Paulo na luta contra o tabagismo teve início em 1975, quando a instituição participou da III Conferência Mundial de Fumo e Saúde, realizada em New York (EUA). Depois de três décadas de trabalho ininterrupto, ela recebeu, em 2008, da Secretaria de Estado da Saúde de São Paulo, o selo prata de certificação de ambiente livre do tabaco. Nesse espaço de tempo, ao lado de um trabalho educativo, realizado corpo a corpo com docentes, funcionários e alunos, foram realizadas pesquisas, treinamentos e desenvolvido toda uma programação orientada pelo Ministério da Saúde / Instituto Nacional do Câncer. Foram também produzidas inúmeras monografias de mestrado, teses de doutorado e de livre docência, tendo como tema o tabagismo do ponto de vista educativo, social, médico e sanitário. Este artigo pretendeu fazer o relato dessa trajetória.<br>The actions of the School of Public Health of the University of São Paulo toward the fight against tobacco use started in 1975, when some faculty members attended the Third World Conference on Smoking and Health in New York, USA. After three decades of a steady work, in 2008, the School received the silver seal from the Health Department of the State of São Paulo because the School of Public Health was a tobacco-free Institution. During this period of 30 years, a constant educational work was developed with teachers, personnel and students. Research studies, training courses and many activities were carried out according to the program presented by the Ministry of Health and the National Institute of Cancer. Many Master's theses and Doctorate dissertations were developed by the graduate students, focusing on tobacco use from the educational, social, medical and public health points of view. A interface entre as políticas públicas de saúde mental e promoção da saúde The interface between the mental health and health promotion public policies

Este estudo tem por objetivo analisar as estratégias de produção de cuidado em saúde mental de um Centro de Convivência e Cooperativa (CECCO) - serviço da rede de atenção à saúde mental do município de São Paulo - na perspectiva de seu alinhamento às políticas de saúde mental e promoção da saúde, verificando as potencialidades da interação entre elas, no cotidiano das práticas de saúde. A análise baseou-se no material empírico obtido por meio de entrevista semiestruturada junto ao gerente do serviço estudado, assim como nos achados da literatura e nos documentos oficiais do Ministério da Saúde. Verificou-se que, por meio de ações intersetoriais, que visam ao fortalecimento da participação social, do empoderamento de indivíduos e comunidade e da equidade, o CECCO articula pressupostos da saúde mental e da promoção da saúde, produzindo autonomia e cidadania e tornando-se um lugar que constrói sentido de vida às pessoas.<br>This study aimed at analyzing the mental health care production strategies of a 'Centro de Convivência e Cooperativa' (CECCO) - a service of the mental health care network of the city of São Paulo - in the perspective of their alignment with the mental health and health promotion public policies, verifying the potentialities of the interaction between them in the health practices' daily routine. The analysis was based on the empirical material obtained by a qualitative research, through a semi-structured interview with the health service's manager, as well as on the literature's findings and on the official documents of the Ministry of Health. It was observed that, through intersectorial actions aiming at the strengthening of social participation, of the empowerment of individuals and community and of equity, CECCO articulates the presuppositions of mental health and of health promotion, producing autonomy and citizenship and becoming a place that constructs life's meaning to people
