The Definition and Measurement of Poverty: An Integrated Islamic Approach
In this paper an attempt is made to learn as to how the Islamic shariah defines and measures the phenomenon of poverty. A systematic study of the Qur’an, the traditions of Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), the conduct of righteous caliphs, and the writings of early Muslim jurists would make it clear that the poor, indigent, and destitute are given adequate importance. The early Islamic state, where necessary, made serious efforts to assist and rehabilitate the poor and the needy. One of the means of assistance and rehabilitation was zakat. The disbursement of zakat funds required that the poor should be unambiguously and convincingly separated from the non-poor. How was it done in the past? Traditions of the Prophet (the sunnah) throw sufficient light on this issue. When we carefully go through the traditions, it would be clear that the explanation of poverty as given by the Prophet is dynamic. It defies time and space limitations. A deeper probe of the traditions would reveal that, for all practical purposes, the Prophet has stressed on an integrated approach. His explanation is far more comprehensive, integrated, and meaningful than the one expressed today in terms of daily intake of certain minimum calories. Present-day Muslim countries should redefine their approach towards the definition and measurement of poverty to reflect the essence of Islamic shariah.
Review on Shadanga Sharira
The study of human body can be done in various ways like system wise study of organs macroscopically and microscopically, as per location of organs, in relation with other organs or the study of body parts inside to outwards and vice versa all together leading to a sum of knowledge. Though the study becomes more interesting as we go in depth. Shadanga Sharira, the human body divided into 6 parts namely four limbs, Head (head and neck) and trunk regionally. These Shadangas are individually called Anga. The Angas further divided into smaller units are Pratyanga. “The different parts or members of the body as mentioned before including the skin cannot be correctly described by one who is not well versed in anatomy. Hence, any one desirous of acquiring a thorough knowledge of anatomy should prepare a dead body and carefully, observe, by dissecting it, and examine its different parts.” Sushruta Samhita provide important surgical and anatomical information of the human body under the description of diseases, surgical procedures and all which are of at most important while dealing with patient. Here we review the Shadanga Sharira in modern anatomy
SOLAR AIR HEATING SYSTEM FOR PRODUCTION OF RAISINS
Drying crops by solar energy is of great economic importance the world over, especially in India where most of the crops and grain harvests are lost to fungal and microbial attacks. These wastages could be easily prevented by proper drying, which enhances storage of crops and grains over long periods of time. India is blessed with abundant solar energy all the year round. Drying is one of the important and most energy consuming processes in the food processing, chemical, printing, fabric dying industries, etc., In farmer level drying is being done on open yards without any good hygienic conditions. Generally thermal energy, maintained between 45 0C to 25 0 C depending on the products and production methods. That energy is being produced by a conventional fuel like electricity, firewood, diesel, furnace oil, kerosene, etc. The objective of this project is to modify design of a forced convection indirect solardryer and its performance test on Grapes. The system consists of an air heating section. The solar air dryer consists of different components such as Solar Collector Plate, Air Blower and insulatinghot air Duct and its life is approximate 20 years. It offers a better control over drying and the product obtained is of better quality than sun drying. Solar Dryer Can be operated at higher temperature, recommended for deep layer drying. It is alsoHighlyrecommended for photo-sensitive substance
Optimization of Halbach Magnetized Permanent Magnet Axial Bearing
This paper presents a parametric study of Halbach magnetized permanent magnet axial bearing made of two concentric rings using two dimensional (2D) analytical equations for force and stiffness in MATLAB. The results of parametric study are validated with the results of Finite Element Analysis using ANSYS. Comparison of the results of 2D equations with the results of FEA shows a good agreement. Furthermore the geometrical parameters of the selected bearing configuration are optimized for higher magnitude of force and stiffness. This work might form a basis for selection of a permanent magnet bearing made of two concentric rings(polarized axially, radially or perpendicularly) for wide applications and could lead less tedious computations without elliptical integrals

Digital Prescription and Disease Prediction using Machine Learning
The healthcare industry is increasingly
concerned about medical errors, which are the leading
cause of death worldwide and also compromise patient
safety. This medical error is even more serious in
developing countries where healthcare is not supported
by technology. Therefore, this study aims to assess physicians’
perceptions towards electronic prescription
implementation.Accurate and on-time analysis of any health-related
problem is important for the prevention and treatment of
theillness. The traditional way of diagnosis may not be
sufficientin the case of a serious ailment. Developing a
medical diagnosis system based on machine learning
(ML) algorithms for prediction of any disease can help in
a more accurate diagnosis than the conventional method.
We have designed a disease prediction system using
multiple ML algorithms. The dataset used had more than
41 diseases for processing. Based on the symptoms, age,
and gender of an individual, the diagnosissystem givesthe
output as the disease that the individual might be
suffering from. The Naïve Bayes algorithm gave the best
results as compared to the other algorithms. The accuracy
of the Naïve Bayes algorithm for the prediction was 99%.
Our diagnosis model can act as a doctor for the early
diagnosis of a disease to ensure the treatment can take
place on time and lives can be saved
