Pharmacovigilance in India: A Rising Concern towards Safe Medication Use

    Get PDF
Pharmacovigilance deals with studying the safety and efficacy of new as well as already existing drugs with an objective to minimize the possibility of associated risk involved with drug use. Awareness regarding pharmacovigilance is rising in response to the new challenges it faces. With the modern computer aids and technology, rapid spread of information, increased communication across borders and easy access to variety of medicinal products is possible, thus increasing public expectation regarding safety of drugs in use. To meet the challenges, there is a need to plan a strategy. We need to conduct continuing medical education programs and dynamic progress of all aspects of pharmacovigilance with interdisciplinary approach by sharing information within and across the borders to improve public health and safety of humans

A Descriptive Socio-Legal Assessment on Gender and Human Rights

    Get PDF
Human rights violations of women and abuse against women are structured and underlying in India, introduced in socio-economic guidelines and laws that structure the family, neighborhood, climate, and state plans. Along these lines, it is an expanding worry in India and across the globe as the rising occurrence of infringements of women's human rights are on high. The purpose of this study is to investigate and examine the knowledge and mindfulness of human rights among women and its connection and association with the overall advancement of women in their day-to-day existence. Using a descriptive research method, both qualitative and quantitative data were gathered on women’s mindfulness and knowledge of various human rights available to them. The proximity of intense and thorough knowledge of women’s human rights was found to play the greatest role in the comprehensive socio-economic development of women. This study definitively answers the question regarding the correlation between proximity to women’s human rights mindfulness and fertile platform and ambiance for their fuller growth and development as human beings. Further investigations are expected to set up causal relations and foster a more full-bodied conceivable climate and social construction for the security and acknowledgement of women’s human rights

Toward the Development of Load Transfer Efficiency Evaluation of Rigid Pavements by a Rolling Wheel Deflectometer

The jointed rigid pavement is currently evaluated by the Falling weight deflectometer which is rather slow for the testing of the jointed pavements. Continuous nondestructive evaluation of rigid pavements with a rolling wheel deflectometer can be used to measure the load transfer and is investigated. Load transfer is an important indicator of the rigid pavement's condition and this is the primary factor which is studied. Continuous data from experimental measurements across a joint allows for the determination of not only the load transfer efficiency provided parameters characterizing the pavement is known. A three-dimensional semi-analytical model was implemented for simulating the pavement response near a joint and used for interpretation and verification of the experimental data. Results show that this development is promising for the use of a rolling wheel deflectometer for rapid evaluation of joints

Work from home practices as corporate strategy- an integrative review

The Covid 19 pandemic led to major changes at the individual, organisational and institutional levels of policy, productive functions, and organising. During Covid 19 morbidity, public institutions enforced social isolation, mandatory self-isolation, quarantines, and administrative regulatory lockdowns, which led to a movement away from the physical, material world and into an all-consuming digital universe. With growing interest in work-from-home (WFH) opportunities, this article provides an integrative review of 107 papers. It comprises the bibliometric analysis and manual review of the articles, on the basis of which we present an elaborative discussion and agenda for future research. According to the analysis, WFH looks a tad of a double-edged sword in that it may have major but unintended repercussions for institutions, and organizations as well as hidden, positive as well as negative consequences for individuals/employees. One of the significant insight from our analysis was the absence of HR function's strategic or operational input or oversight during corporate WFH strategies. We suggest several theoretical frameworks for further developing, theorizing, and empirically testing various aspects of WFH. Further, we recognise that WFH is becoming increasingly visible as a result of the pandemic scenario and significant technical advancements, which must be reflected in the research. Finally, because WFH represents a significant disruption in how organizations produce work and manage it, we propose employee and managerial consequences as future research agendas. Ultra-fast Vacancy Migration: A Novel Approach for Synthesizing Sub-10 nm Crystalline Transition Metal Dichalcogenide Nanocrystals

Two-dimensional materials, such as transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDCs), have the potential to revolutionize the field of electronics and photonics due to their unique physical and structural properties. This research presents a novel method for synthesizing crystalline TMDCs crystals with < 10 nm size using ultra-fast migration of vacancies at elevated temperatures. Through in-situ and ex-situ processing and using atomic-level characterization techniques, we analyze the shape, size, crystallinity, composition, and strain distribution of these nanocrystals. These nanocrystals exhibit electronic structure signatures that differ from the 2D bulk i.e., uniform mono and multilayers. Further, our in-situ, vacuum-based synthesis technique allows observation and comparison of defect and phase evolution in these crystals formed under van der Waals heterostructure confinement versus unconfined conditions. Overall, this research demonstrates a solid-state route to synthesizing uniform nanocrystals of TMDCs and lays the foundation for materials science in confined 2D spaces under extreme conditions.Comment: MS+S
