Bidirectional three port converter for power flow management of PV/Battery-Fed elevator system

    Get PDF
The Bidirectional Three Port Converter (BTPC) proposed in this research work is addressed for an elevator application that is driven from a BLDC motor in all four quadrants sourced from solar Photovoltaic (PV). The converter design of a PV based system necessitates constant output voltage with high power density and efficiency. The Proposed BTPC tracks the maximum power, maintains constant output voltage and also deals with the bidirectional power flow management whenever there is a change in applied torque when the machine is switched from motoring to regenerating mode. Furthermore, single stage power conversion is achieved with power transfer from PV to dc link or battery to dc link based on the load requirement and surplus power is directly stored in the battery. Closed loop control ensures adjusting the duty cycle of the proposed converter switches thereby maintaining the bidirectional power flow management. The proposed converter is analysed in detail with operating principle, design considerations and verified in terms of simulation and through experimental results

The principal objective of this effort is to organize a network facility to hide the secret information in an image folder without disturbing its originality. In the literature lot of algorithms are there to hide the information in an image file but most of it consumes high resource for completing the task which is not suitable for light weight mobile devices. Few basic algorithms like 1LSB, 2LSB and 3LSB methods in the literature are suitable for mobile devices since the computational complexity is very low. But, these methods either lack in maintaining the originality of the source image or in increasing the number of bits to be fixed. Furthermore, every algorithm in the literature has its own merits and demerits and we cannot predict which algorithm is best or worst since, based on the parameters such as size of the safety duplicate and encryption algorithm used to generate the cipher text the steganography schemes may produce best or worst result with respect to computational complexity, capacity, and detectable distortion. In our proposed work, we have developed a web service that takes cover image and plain text as the input from the clients and returns the steganoimage to the clients. The steganoimage will be generated by our proposed work by analyzing the above said parameters and by applying the right steganography scheme. The proposed work helps in reducing the detectable distortion, computational complexity of the client device, and in increasing the capacity. The experimental result says that, the proposed system performs better than the legacy schemes with respect to capacity, computational complexity, and detectable distortion. This proposed work is more useful to the client devices with very low computational resource since all the computational tasks are deployed in the server side

Parkinson’s disease (PD) is a second most neurodegenerative disorder caused by the progressive loss of mesencephalic dopaminergic neurons in the substantia nigra innervating the striatum. The existing conventional strategies that target PD are associated with numerous side effects and possess an economic burden. In recent years, there has been a growing interest in alternative therapies and the therapeutic use of natural products, especially those derived from plants. The aim of the present study is to evaluate the anti Parkinson activity of Ayurvedic formulation Saraswatham ghritham ( SG) in Rotenone induced Parkinson mice. For induction of parkinsons disese rotenone was injected i.p in mice at the dose of 3 mg/kg body weight, 7 days. After induction various doses of SG (100 mg/kg, 200 mg/kg and 400 mg/kg) were administrated ( p.0) for 21 days. To find out its Antiparkinsons activity various behavioral studies, biochemical estimations, neurotransmitter evaluations and histopathalological studies have been performed. The results were promising like the behavioral studies the rota rode the high dose SG treated group ( 400mg/kg ) the muscle grip strength(111.000±0.258 sec) was significantly increased compared to rotenone induced group (13.500±0.342). Treatment with SG results in regains the levels of endogenous antioxidant levels to normal values. Especially neuroprotective effect of SG was confirmed by histopathology. The inflammatory cells were absent , glial and astrocytes possess proper morphological features in SG treated group. So this study concludes the Antiparkinsons activity of saraswatha gritham

Local antimagic chromatic number of partite graphs

Let GG be a connected graph with ∣V∣=n|V| = n and ∣E∣=m|E| = m. A bijection f:E→{1,2,...,m}f:E\rightarrow \{1,2,...,m\} is called a local antimagic labeling of GG if for any two adjacent vertices uu and vv, w(u)≠w(v)w(u) \neq w(v), where w(u)=∑e∈E(u)f(e)w(u) = \sum_{e \in E(u)}f(e), and E(u)E(u) is the set of edges incident to uu. Thus, any local antimagic labeling induces a proper vertex coloring of GG where the vertex vv is assigned the color w(v)w(v). The local antimagic chromatic number is the minimum number of colors taken over all colorings induced by local antimagic labelings of GG. Let m,n>1m,n > 1. In this paper, the local antimagic chromatic number of a complete tripartite graph K1,m,nK_{1,m,n}, and rr copies of a complete bipartite graph Km,nK_{m,n} where m≢n mod 2m \not \equiv n \bmod 2 are determined

A study to compare the efficacy of methotrexate alone vs. methotrexate plus pioglitazone in the management of plaque-type psoriasis

    Get PDF
Background: Psoriasis is a common skin condition affecting a huge segment of global population. So far, the treatment has been confined to drugs like methotrexate, cyclosporine and oral retinoids which are highly toxic for long term usage and requires a novel drug that is safer. Methods: Cases of plaque type psoriasis are divided into two arms and treated with methotrexate monotherapy in group A and methotrexate plus pioglitazone combination therapy in group B. The outcome of the study is analyzed using PASI score and DLQI scoring systems. Results: Group A and Group B showed significant reduction in the PASI and DLQI scores. Group B was better in terms of efficacy (p<0.05) when compared to Group A. There was no significant difference between the groups in terms of DLQI scoring. Both groups had similar side effect profile. Conclusions: Pioglitazone which acts by sensitizing the cells to insulin poses no risk of hypoglycemia. It is more specific for the treatment of psoriasis as it targets the keratinocytes. Present study suggests a possible role as an adjuvant in the treatment of psoriasis, and could pave way for low dose methotrexate and thereby reducing the potential side effects

The attendance is taken in every organization. Traditional approach for attendance is, professor calls student name & record attendance. For each lecture this is wastage of time. To avoid these losses, we are about to use automatic process which is based on image processing. In this project approach, we are using face detection & face recognition system. The first phase is pre-processing where the face detection is processed through the step image processing. It includes the face detection and face recognition process. Second phase is feature extraction. Step by step execution of these techniques (Image Processing) helps to achieve the final output. The working of this project is to detect and recognize the face and mark the attendance for the corresponding face in the database. Input of this project is face detection and recognition and output is to mark the attendance. Our project is being presented as a solution for the Automatic Attendance Marking System. It is designed to be reliable and low power. The Automatic face detection and recognition proposed to attendance marking in database acts as the solution for the automatic attendance marking system.

In this study, an image processing approach for fabric weight measurement has been proposed and tested. The system involves digital capturing of image using a microscope and then its processing in simple steps using image processing software (MATLAB). The study is conducted using a range of woven fabric samples. The fabrics have been conventionally weighed using an electronic weighing balance, and digital images of the sample fabrics are obtained and processed. The process involves application of suitable filters to obtain weft count, warp count, EPI, PPI and yarn crimp. The values are then substituted in standard formula to obtain the fabric weight. The study shows that the results of the proposed method of image processing, based on fabric weight measurement, are well correlated with the results of conventional method of measurement
