    Earthing or grounding means connection of neutral point or body / enclosure of a system with the ground mass to avoid any accident & smooth functioning of system whether it may be power system, fuel pipelines,  telecomm, lightning protection or data processing centres. It will transfer the undesired charge directly to the ground because impedance of such path will be very low. Earthing/Grounding is low impedance return path to fault currents. Earthing should provide at generating station/ESS (Electrical Sub Stations) & consumer’s premises as required. Presented paper is focussing on earthing essential, systems, design calculations, standard practices & applications.     Mapping of Quantitative Trait Loci for Grain Iron and Zinc Concentration in Diploid A Genome Wheat

    Micronutrients, especially iron (Fe) and zinc (Zn), are deficient in the diets of people in underdeveloped countries. Biofortification of food crops is the best approach for alleviating the micronutrient deficiencies. Identification of germplasm with high grain Fe and Zn and understanding the genetic basis of their accumulation are the prerequisites for manipulation of these micronutrients. Some wild relatives of wheat were found to have higher grain Fe and Zn concentrations compared with the cultivated bread wheat germplasm. One accession of Triticum boeoticum (pau5088) that had relatively higher grain Fe and Zn was crossed with Triticum monococcum (pau14087), and a recombinant inbred line (RIL) population generated from this cross was grown at 2 locations over 2 years. The grains of the RIL population were evaluated for Fe and Zn concentration using atomic absorption spectrophotometer. The grain Fe and Zn concentrations in the RIL population ranged from 17.8 to 69.7 and 19.9 to 64.2 mg/kg, respectively. A linkage map available for the population was used for mapping quantitative trait loci (QTL) for grain Fe and Zn accumulation. The QTL analysis led to identification of 2 QTL for grain Fe on chromosomes 2A and 7A and 1 QTL for grain Zn on chromosome 7A. The grain Fe QTL were mapped in marker interval Xwmc382-Xbarc124 and Xgwm473-Xbarc29, respectively, each explaining 12.6% and 11.7% of the total phenotypic variation and were designated as QFe.pau-2A and QFe.pau-7A. The QTL for grain Zn, which mapped in marker interval Xcfd31-Xcfa2049, was designated as QZn.pau-7A and explained 18.8% of the total phenotypic variatio

    Data Stream Clustering for Real-Time Anomaly Detection: An Application to Insider Threats

    Insider threat detection is an emergent concern for academia, industries, and governments due to the growing number of insider incidents in recent years. The continuous streaming of unbounded data coming from various sources in an organisation, typically in a high velocity, leads to a typical Big Data computational problem. The malicious insider threat refers to anomalous behaviour(s) (outliers) that deviate from the normal baseline of a data stream. The absence of previously logged activities executed by users shapes the insider threat detection mechanism into an unsupervised anomaly detection approach over a data stream. A common shortcoming in the existing data mining approaches to detect insider threats is the high number of false alarms/positives (FPs). To handle the Big Data issue and to address the shortcoming, we propose a streaming anomaly detection approach, namely Ensemble of Random subspace Anomaly detectors In Data Streams (E-RAIDS), for insider threat detection. E-RAIDS learns an ensemble of p established outlier detection techniques [Micro-cluster-based Continuous Outlier Detection (MCOD) or Anytime Outlier Detection (AnyOut)] which employ clustering over continuous data streams. Each model of the p models learns from a random feature subspace to detect local outliers, which might not be detected over the whole feature space. E-RAIDS introduces an aggregate component that combines the results from the p feature subspaces, in order to confirm whether to generate an alarm at each window iteration. The merit of E-RAIDS is that it defines a survival factor and a vote factor to address the shortcoming of high number of FPs. Experiments on E-RAIDS-MCOD and E-RAIDS-AnyOut are carried out, on synthetic data sets including malicious insider threat scenarios generated at Carnegie Mellon University, to test the effectiveness of voting feature subspaces, and the capability to detect (more than one)-behaviour-all-threat in real-time. The results show that E-RAIDS-MCOD reports the highest F1 measure and less number of false alarm = 0 compared to E-RAIDS-AnyOut, as well as it attains to detect approximately all the insider threats in real-time

    369-374The effect of the structure of an epoxy resin prepared by curing DGEBA with structurally different aromatic amide-amines containing a silicon group in the backbone on the properties of glass fabric reinforced laminates was studied. The laminates were fabricated by coating epoxy compatible woven glass fabric with DGEBA containing stoichiometric amounts of amide-amines synthesized by reacting 1 mol of bis (4-chlorobenzoyl) dimethylsilane with 2 mol of 4,4'-diaminodiphenyl ether (E)/4,4'-diaminodiphenyl methane (M)/4,4'-diaminodiphenyl sulfone (pS)/3,3'-diaminodiphenyl sulfone (mS)/bis (3- aminophenyl) methyl phosphine oxide (B)/tris (3-amino phenyl) phosphine oxide (T ) using dimethyl acetamide as solvent. Interlaminar shear strength (ILSS), <span style="font-size:14.0pt;line-height: 115%;font-family:" times="" new="" roman";mso-fareast-font-family:hiddenhorzocr;="" color:black;mso-ansi-language:en-in;mso-fareast-language:en-in;mso-bidi-language:="" hi"="" lang="EN-IN">flexural <span style="font-size:14.0pt;line-height:115%; font-family:" times="" new="" roman";mso-fareast-font-family:"times="" roman";="" color:black;mso-ansi-language:en-in;mso-fareast-language:en-in;mso-bidi-language:="" hi"="" lang="EN-IN">strength and flexural modulus of the Laminates were in the range of 7-21 MPa,114-409 MPa and 10-28 GPa respectively. The difference in flexural strength and flexural modulus of the composites can be attributed to the structure of epoxy network .     Aims: The anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) Break Apart FISH Probe Kit and Ventana anti-ALK (D5F3) CDx immunohistochemistry (IHC) assay are the Food and Drug Administration-approved companion diagnostic for targeted therapy with the ALK inhibitor crizotinib in lung cancers. The aim of this study was to assess the efficacy and safety of twice daily crizotinib tablet (250 mg) in IHC-proven echinoderm microtubule-associated protein-like 4 (EML4)-ALK fusion gene among Indian patients with adenocarcinoma lung in the routine clinical practice. Subjects and Methods: Patients with nonsmall cell lung cancer (NSCLC), adenocarcinoma histology, whose tumors were found to be positive for EML4-ALK fusion gene using IHC, were considered for this study. IHC analysis was performed using a Ventana automated immunostainer (Benchmark XT). Detection was performed using Optiview DAB detection and amplification kit. Results: A total of 25 NSCLC adenocarcinoma patients were included in the study. There were 14 (56%) women and 10 (44%) men with a median age of 53 years. All patients had Stage IV disease at the time of initiation of crizotinib therapy. One patient achieved complete response and 20 achieved response rate (PR) for an overall PR of 84%. The median progression-free survival (PFS) was 11.8 months and median overall survival (OS) was 20.6 months. Two (8%) patients experienced severe hepatotoxicity requiring permanent discontinuation of crizotinib therapy. Conclusions: A very high PR, PFS, and OS achieved in our study population indicates that IHC can accurately identify EML4 ALK fusion gene mutations in lung adenocarcinoma patients who are responsive to ALK inhibitors such as crizotinib. IHC should be considered as a cost-effective alternative to FISH, especially in low-resource countries
